The Ordinary earns strong reviews for being effective and ingredient-focused: many users report clearer, smoother, more hydrated skin from staples like Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%, Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5, Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution, and the AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution. Reviews also flag weaknesses: some formulas feel sticky or pill, certain actives (retinoids, vitamin C, high-percentage acids) can irritate or be too harsh, results can be hit-or-miss by product or skin type, and the range can be confusing without research.

Amazing price points. Some great products some meh

Each product is built around one “powerhouse” ingredient with the exception of their “buffet” serum ( which is nice) . This results in the need for multiple products daily. More combination products would be great.
I love using the Glycolic acid under my armpits and that has served as amazing way to combat sweating/body odor throughout the day. I used to use more of their moisturizing serums but have found better since their inception. Also love seeing this brand grow and can always appreciate the cheap price point.

Some of their products just do not scientifically make sense like having too much percentage of acid, etc. Just be weary/do your research which products you are looking into!

The reasonable price point makes the Ordinary a great place to try out different actives if you're not sure what works for your skin. I don't think you're getting the most elegant formulation, but you do very much get what you're paying for if you don't mind the no-frills experience.
Love the clean products that are an unbeatable prices
I first product of The Ordinary skin care line was the Glycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner. Let me just tell you that I noticed a difference within a few days. My skin seemed smoother, tighter, and brighter. I am now going to try the duo (Resurface and Hydrate) set. Wish me the best!
I’ve been using The Ordinary products for a while now, and I’m beyond impressed! The brand is a lifesaver for anyone looking for quality skincare without breaking the bank. Their serums, like the Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 and Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%, are absolute staples in my routine. My skin feels hydrated, smooth, and noticeably brighter! What I love most is how transparent they are about ingredients—you know exactly what you're putting on your skin. Plus, the minimalist packaging is sleek and eco-friendly. Whether you’re new to skincare or a seasoned enthusiast, The Ordinary has something for everyone. If you’re looking for effective skincare that won’t empty your wallet, this brand is a no-brainer. Highly recommend!
I love how "clean" the marketing is, mostly. It says exactly what it is without adding any froofy names. That said, it could also be that I just don't know enough about skincare, but the products I've tried have not been for me.
I liked the serum and I think it worked a bit but theres not much more to it.
HUGE fan of The Ordinary and their beyond affordable price points while still maintaining ingredient integrity. I've used an array of their products but found the Hyaluronic acid and Niacinimide serums to be the most effective within my daily routine. This is one of those cases where you don't need to sacrifice the right ingredients because you can't afford the skincare line -- and in this market, that's greatly appreciated by your everyday consumer.

I tried to get into the hype. There is nothing *wrong* with these products. I like the basic moisturizer most. But I genuinely believe you can find better products individually from other places. I do love their breakdowns on mixing different chemicals, and what they do - it's super informative, and makes for a good shopping experience.

not sure how this skincare compare to thousand others.
Very affordable and useful. I love researching ingredients and learning about how they interact with other products, so it's great they have such a wide range of specific ingredients. But I wouldn't just go mixing a bunch of stuff you see from them online just because they are popular! But the hyaluronic acid is always in my bathroom and I really like their glycolic acid toner for underarms.

Overall, I like The Ordinary. It always surprises me how affordable their products are, but not all of their products are as high quality as higher-end skincare companies. However, I am obsessed with their High-Adherence Silicone Primer. I've been using it for years and it's the perfect combination of light and tacky.
The ordinary is known for the novelty of its scientific approach and affordable pricing but I definitely feel like the products are a bit hit or miss. The niaciminide was a holy grail for me for a while, but I've tried the glycolic acid, azelaic acid, and some other products that I didn't really see any results with.
Affordable, effective skincare BUT you have to know your vitamins and chemicals. While The Ordinary can seem intimidating, it forces you to better understand what you are using on your face and why. I use a Hyaluronic Acid from TO and it is really helping my dry skin. Years ago I purchased a Vitamin C product that made me break out, and they gave me a full refund. Skincare doesn't need to be expensive to be effective and I think The Ordinary proves that.
Great products at a great price.
I love that the ordinary is super affordable and their products work super well.

The first product experience I had was using the hair growth serum, within the first week I noticed my scalp healthier and some baby hair popping out. From hair care to skin care, the ordinary has been there for me!

I love this brand for skin care, and you really can’t beat the price. It’s so easy to customize for exactly your needs. I do wish they would give a little bit more of an explanation on how to use each product best, and that some of the products weren’t so harsh for sensitive skin.
