The Ordinary earns strong reviews for being effective and ingredient-focused: many users report clearer, smoother, more hydrated skin from staples like Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%, Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5, Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution, and the AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution. Reviews also flag weaknesses: some formulas feel sticky or pill, certain actives (retinoids, vitamin C, high-percentage acids) can irritate or be too harsh, results can be hit-or-miss by product or skin type, and the range can be confusing without research.
Great products at a very affordable price point. I love that I can get a product that works well without the fuss. My skin looks noticeably better in the morning after using the Glycolic Acid before bed. I also appreciate that the product lasts for a long time. I'm still on my first bottle.
I’ve been using The Ordinary’s 0.2% retinol for a while: excellent product. I’ve tried others, but this works as well as many other higher priced brands. I bought the moisturizer as a travel (body) cream as I am tired of decanting body lotions into mini containers (first world problems 🙄) and this is 100 mL in a slim container, suitable for 2 weeks . Trial run looks promising - I wouldn’t bother but my skin is arid like the Sahara. Squalene cleanser for the same reason (travel) - not as nice as my all time favorite from Drunk Elephant, but very good all the same. I suspect the multi peptide stuff is nonsense but I fell for it anyway. Will report back later. Got a free water bottle made from glass. Utility questionable. But it looks pretty.
So I’ve used grande lash before and it is out of my price range so after seeing reviews, I decided to try the ordinary multi peptide, lash and brow serum and overall I do notice a thickness and just more healthy lashes and browse I can’t say that there’s a ton of new growth, but from someone that curls, her eyelashes every day and uses mascara. I have noticed less fallout, but it does make around my eyes dark darker which I don’t love and does hold me back from using it more often.
I've always had thin hair that looks limp and needs more volume. After applying The Ordinary serum before bed I noticed that my hair got more volume and density, it looks healthier and smoother. I love that it's lightweight and doesn't feel greasy or leaves any residue.
