Reviews mention

  • Compelling anti–food waste mission
  • Deeply discounted premium brands
  • Broad, well-curated assortment
  • Fast, reliable shipping speed
  • Inconsistent, fragile-item packaging
  • Near-expiration dated products
  • Unreliable, fluctuating inventory
  • Occasionally misleading product details

Martie earns mixed reviews: the brand delights deal-hunters with deeply discounted, well‑curated pantry, beauty, and home finds while advancing a clear anti–food waste mission, but inconsistent packing quality, near‑expiration dates, dynamic inventory, and spotty customer support undermine trust. Reviews of Martie confirm it’s good for discovering buzzy DTC and organic brands at real savings and fast shipping, yet buyers face OOS substitutions, occasional mislabeled sizes, broken items, and variability in discounts—making it compelling for treasure‑hunt shoppers, less so for one‑stop staples or reliable reorders.

  • I’m not happy at all how is this company supposed to retain loyal customers and try new products with their no return policies we bought some items like the gem daily essentials and they taste awful (its crap) it’s a horrible product I will never buy from this company again and I will warn people not to buy any new products from them that you are not familiar with they will simply tell you sorry no refunds that is heck of a policy for any company that wants to survive in this competitive business

You could improve your customer service and change your return polices how can people try new products when you send them crap and they say no refunds sorry you are scamming people I would give you a minus one rating if I could thank you have nice day

  • What’s not to like about good tasty food that’s also good for your budget (40-70% off), and the environment. They have a super fun and easy shopping experience to boot!

More selection, which I heard they are working on.

  • Martie has been excellent! It feels good knowing that the food I buy is actually being used, and not wasted. I've been with them for almost a year. I’ve found some fantastic new brands, and I’ve tasted tons of different things. Additionally, I’ve saved a significant amount of money with their excellent deals! I’m definitely staying with Martie. The only thing is, you’ve got to read the fine print on food items. See if theyre adaquate for your diet.

  • Really good new retailer. Love the diversity of products from pantry staples to beauty and home wares. The brands they get are really good - I got a variety of boy smells candles for a big discount! Plus their app is really easy to use

  • I like that I can find some of my favorite brands that are heavily discounted, but it is often hit or miss. I appreciate the fast and free shipping and will often find new products that I wanted to try but wasnt sure if I wanted to pay full price for.

  • Great shopping experience online and with delivery. I like being able to see the expiration dates. It's a great way to try some new products and also get some more expensive products at a cheaper rate. Sometimes seasonal items too that you can still use even if off season.

  • We had a horrible first experience! All of our food was just thrown into the box. One of the containers was leaking all over the other items. Also, we were sent EXPIRED food. Not just passed the “best by” date as they say on the website. EXPIRED and refused any refund.

  • Such a fan! I got so many products at a fraction of the cost. I call this online grocery outlet! Thank you Martie for offering quality, affordable foods

  • I am an avid Martie user, and I love what they're doing! I get snacks and pantry goods for an affordable price, and I love the occasional skincare brands they throw in there, so that I can try new things at a fraction of the cost. My typical way of shopping at Martie is when I am running low on snacks or pantry goods (noodles, oats, peanut butter) and they deliver right to my door. Actually, Thingtesting and Martie should do a collab because I discover a lot of new brands through here! But obviously check if Martie is available in your state. • Amazing mission and well curated products. Ton of healthy for you type of food. Perfect for trying out new products

  • I'm in love. Martie has pretty much anything you can find in your local grocery store, barring the produce and frozen sections. They have an awesome mission coupled with a steep discount--it doesn't get much better.

My one gripe is that it’s hard for me to make Martie my one-stop shop, and I prefer to shop from a smaller number of grocery stores than pinballing between a bunch. Martie’s mission also gives way to an inventory that’s very dynamic, so it’s hard to count on any one thing being in stock for a reasonable amount of time.

I tried Martie's discount online grocery delivery, and the savings and sustainability made it a great deal

  • It's always exciting to see a brand like this open since I do consider myself a cheapskate and will try to get a deal whenever possible. The thought that markets just normally throw out totally good food that is close to its sell by date without trying to sell it for cheaper makes me kind of frustrated. So as soon as Martie launched I jumped on the opportunity to get a box, and I was lucky enough that it was always available in my area. The selection of goods in the shop is always pretty good, though I definitely had to search the entire shop to find enough items to buy to meet the cost required to allow a box to be shipped. With that said, the deals are great and I have tried out so many new brands because the price is now much more to my liking than buying the same brand for full price. Plus, it seems like every day they pick an item to be on sale for only 1 cent! Can't get much better than that.

Consider creating boxes that are different sizes so the groceries don't always have to come in this huge box when it is not needed.

  • Love Martie's selection (I ordered a variety of items including hot sauce, pasta, and more). Definitely recommend due to great pricing and I love Martie's mission!

  • Love the brand's mission to minimize food waste! The team is truly trying its very best. While I support the brand, I do find it frustrating that none of my recent orders were fulfilled completely. Every order had multiple items that became OOS at time of shipment. It feels like the inventory management system could be improved. As a curious consumer, I reached out to the team to see why this might be and they did reply with an answer that makes sense. Given that there is a $2 fee per order, it feels like they might need to charge more to turn around orders more quickly. It's iffy for me now to continue shopping on Martie but it's quite fun to see the products that they curate. Also, I already get a number of these brands from Thrive Market or Sprouts so I already know exactly what I want from Martie. This might be a different take if consumers are curious to try new snacks (near expiration) at a discounted price. I am simply looking to replenish tried and true products and supporting less food waste.

  • This website has some seriously discounted food and household products. The inventory you can choose from will change based on availability, but you can find a mix of national brands (like Betty Crocker) as well as lesser known ones. Shipping took only a few days and it was packaged well, with glass bottles separately wrapped in bubble wrap.

  • I love Martie's mission to minimize food waste. The prices on their website can be too high for me to purchase regularly (not enough of a discount) but rarely (like once or twice) they have had a very good deal hard to miss

  • I thought this site sounded too good to be true but it's seriously amazing! It seems like it's run by a small team too so I just want to shoutout their hard work. They have lots of organic and all-natural products, and of course for way cheaper than you can get in the store. I love this way of reducing food waste.

  • Obsessed with Martie. Take all my money LOL. It's a great way to try new products at a discount and also fight food waste. Some things are close to expiration but they list it on the product page. I've found some of the products to be hit or miss (like some rock hard protein bars and I didn't love the sprouted nuts) but have also found great deals on new favs (fancy blueberry jam, tiny cookies). They also have gluten free items and nutritional powders at a deep discount. Shipping is free + a 1.99 handling fee and there is an order minimum of $40. It does take a while to ship so you'll have to wait a few days for your snacks to arrive (try not to order more snacks while you wait as there are new products added all the time...). Oh, and they also have beauty, home goods and kids toys as well.
