Solly Baby
Experience
Complicated to put on, but when baby is really tiny this felt more supportive than the eg. BabyBjorn. I'm glad I bought my Solly Baby used because while I loved having one, you don't really get that many uses out of it, and it's in absolutely perfect condition still. Excellent hand-me-down, people!

D.S. & Durga
Experience
I 've used "I Don't Know What" EdP for over a year now and still love it. I am also so impressed by a lot of other DS & Durga products; the auto fragrances maybe the most positive surprise of them all! They last for 4+ months minimum each. The absolute best thing about them is the very unexpected branding. Pasta water, pistachio, and all the new fragrances coming out look amazing.

Coterie
Experience
I laughed at the Coterie ads on Instagram when I first saw them; “These diapers help parents sleep” seemed like a gimmick ad aimed at sleep-deprived parents. BUT THEN. We started using Coterie diapers just around the same time as we did sleep training. So franky, I don’t know what’s cause and correlation, but right now we’ve been lucky on the sleep front for a few months. I have zero reasons to mess with that, and so for now, I continue to be a huge fan despite the steep price tag. (We use Coterie diapers exclusively in the night to even out the cost a bit...) FYI: I took a close-up pic bc Coterie diapers are quite different in texture vs other diapers. They feel softer and have almost a textured feel to them. If you are figuring out what diapers to get I really recommend getting the Babylist “Diaper test kit” so you can test your way to your favorite!

The Caker
Experience
I always thought cake mixes are a lazy shortcut and never makes for as tasty cakes, but this one proved me so wrong. The carrot cake was moist, and the salted caramel + raisin combo was incredible. Would 100% recommend, and I'm really excited to try other mixes from The Caker now. My only feedback/what I'd do differently: There were still a lot of ingredients that I had to purchase in addition to a fairly expensive cake mix! I wish the salted caramel would have been a bit easier to decorate with... maybe next time I'll make sure to run it under warm water or something before decorating... in hopes of a better looking cake ;)

Studs
Experience
I recently visited Studs, a jewelry company with both an online presence and physical piercing locations across the US. The Thingtesting team and I stopped by their Austin location during our offsite. I spontaneously decided to get two piercings – one in each ear. Piercings are more expensive than I remember! (That might be a me problem and not a Studs problem because it's been 20 years since my last piercings... I thought it was going to be 50 USD, but two piercings and jewelry netted out at $250+ 😅) Studs offers a millennial/gen z take on a piercing studio; a "trendy" assortment of jewelry designs such as cowboy boots (fitting for Austin), lightning bolts, stars, smileys, etc, you get it. Piercings are done by super cool and friendly people. In general, the experience seemed geared towards a younger audience than me; the neon pouches, the flower stickers, diamond peel and sticks. In conclusion, it's an interesting brand... The experience was professional and the jewelry still looks great after a few months of everyday wear. In fact, I liked their hoop earrings so much that I bought additional ones due to their reasonable price point. So - all in all: The branding doesn't speak to me, yet it still made me spontaneously get two piercings and reorder more. Good for them!

Pipette
Experience
The Baby Shampoo + Wash from Pipette was my bebes first body wash! My primary requirement for a baby shampoo was to be unscented, which this product fulfills. We have used almost the entire 12-ounce bottle in conjunction with Eucerin Baby Eczema Reflief Wash. While Pipette's shampoo effectively cleans my baby, I found that it is slightly harsher on their skin than the eczema wash. To maintain balance, we alternate between both products every two days, and that has worked really well for us :)

Miami Fruit
Experience
This is a weird but such a fun company! I bought a small variety box after coming across their incredible Instagram content (I seriously recommend following their IG... it makes me SO happy). The box was filled with fun little fruits I had never even heard of (caviar lime was a favorite!!). This is a really great and different gift.

Fresh Sends
Experience
Got these sent as a gift and the flowers lasted for a good week plus. The packaging felt trendy and fresh. I'd definitely use Fresh Sends myself in the future too!

The Ordinary
Experience
Sorry but nothing beats The Ordinary when it comes to price-to-quality ratio for basic skin care (especially for those of us who do not identify as skin care nerds).
