Reviews mention

  • Noticeably fast hydration boost
  • Convenient travel-ready packets
  • Wide, crowd-pleasing flavors
  • Mixes easily in cold water
  • Overly sweet, sometimes salty taste
  • High sugar and sodium content
  • Occasional thick, gritty texture
  • Inconsistent flavor enjoyment

Liquid I.V. earns strong reviews for fast, noticeable hydration—especially after workouts, travel, heat, and hangovers—while convenient single-serve packets and broad flavor variety (Lemon Lime, Strawberry, Passion Fruit, Watermelon, Golden Cherry) stand out. However, many reviews flag overly sweet, sometimes salty flavors, a “thick” mouthfeel, undissolved grit, and high sugar/sodium; some prefer diluting with more water or the newer sugar‑free line, and a few question ingredient “cleanliness” or effectiveness versus competitors.

  • Super effective for hydration and travel. The lemon-lime and passionfruit flavors stand out. Way tooooo sweet, so adding extra water helps (hence the three stars). Great for post-workout recovery or long days out.

  • I really enjoy the Sugar-Free liquid IV. While i like the taste of the regular one, I find that it has too much sugar, so I opt for the sugar free ones. Delicious!

  • This does an amazing job at rehydrating your body while not tasting any water at al. The taste is a little strong a artificial but it is exactly what you would expect from a drink mix powder.

  • Liquid IV always makes me feel better. I enjoy all of the flavors and it encourages me to drink more water.

  • Decent formulations. I have yet to try the sugar-free but I’m intrigued. True to fruit flavor.

  • Love this and it’s fun to pack for a weekend that I know I’ll be drinking. The reason I’m giving it a lower rating is because of the sugar content - I got my grandpa a pack of these and he had to stop using them because of the sugar levels.

  • Honestly I didn’t see a help of it, it tastes too salty for me to regularly drink it, and as someone that is very dehydrated it just didn’t work well enough for the price.

  • i love the convenience factor but i'm looking for an option that has less sugar. passionfruit: ew but also ew i don't like passionfruit strawberry: best

  • I found the taste too salty for me and didn't notice much more of a pick-me-up compared to a gatorade and coffee combo.

  • Great, natural flavor as well as very refreshing!

  • Candidly, I'm not a fan of Liquid I.V. I like the idea of an easy on-the-go electrolyte-packed packet, but don't like all of the added sugar in Liquid I.V.'s varieties. Thus, if I'm going to get my boost of electrolytes, I'm going to look towards sugar-free options.

  • Tastes terrible and is expensive. I would rather just put salt and lemon in my water or have coconut water. I don’t know how people drink this, much less spend that much on it.

  • With the weather lately I’ve been having trouble staying hydrated. It seems no matter how much water I drank I was still dehydrated. I decided to try these and I’m so glad I did. Makes staying hydrated so much easier

  • Not super impresed, ingredients list could be much cleaner. I use 2 different brands that contain organic ingredient with no added sugar or unnecessary ingredients.

  • I got to the sauna and/or hot yoga 5x a week and these hydration packets are the best! I love the versatility in flavors and I like that it doesn’t have any dyes. I have no complaints for this product at all, LOVE!

  • Tried their sugar free version and love it! I tend to not drink enough water but this packets definitely help!
