Reviews mention

  • Exceptional insulation performance
  • Leakproof, reliable sealing
  • Sleek, cup‑holder‑friendly silhouettes
  • Distinctive, fashion‑forward designs
  • Narrow mouth complicates cleaning
  • Exterior coating chips or scratches
  • Prone to dents when dropped
  • Occasional metallic taste or odor

S’well earns strong reviews for performance and style: bottles and drinkware reliably keep beverages icy-cold or piping hot for hours, don’t leak, fit cup holders and backpacks, and come in distinctive colors, marbles, and collaborations. Reviews also flag drawbacks—narrow mouths and caps that are difficult to clean, easy denting and exterior chipping/scratching, occasional metallic taste or odor, and dated designs versus newer competitors—making it excellent for temperature retention but less compelling for durability and ergonomics.

  • I love my S'well water bottle & wine glasses. They are perfect for a beach / picnic day & keep my beverages cold for hours.

  • Used to be the leader in design forward water bottles that kept things cold / hot but I don't think that's true anymore. Other brands work just as well / better for lower prices. I also don't think their traditional water bottle is a size that actually holds that much + their designs can scratch off over time.

Wish you could put these in the dishwasher!

  • S’wells can last forever! I have 2 that have lasted 5 plus years. They have gotten some dings along the way but still work great. The larger size fits a bottle of wine and is great to keep a white wine cool on a picnic!

  • So many water bottle companies these days, but this is definitely one of the better brands. Nice quality product and a wide variety of offerings. My only complaint is the shape of their bottles vs the competitors. The open at the top is tiny compared to my Hydroflask, so it's nearly impossible to fit any ice cubes inside and good luck trying to clean the inside. Giving it 4/5 for the quality, but I probably would recommend Hydroflask to a friend before recommending S'well. (If they think they will want to put ice in their drink)

  • They're a bit pricey but they have such cute designs! The bottles and cups are great at keeping my drinks both cold and warm for hours.

  • I'm definitely not one of those people that buys a ton of water bottles or fancy cups, etc. I will say though - I've purchased multiple Swell bottles and they have kept my drinks cold in crazy hot situations. I previously lived in Texas and would leave my water bottle in my car (which gets VERY hot in the summer) with a drink in ice. The bottle would stay cold, which is super impressive. Definitely recommend if you're an ice-cold drinks type of person living in a warm area, or want a bottle for the summer/gym.

  • Great designs. Very sleek looking. Unfortunately my GOOP exclusive water bottle scratched easily and all of my beverages tasted semi metallic. I donated my bottle within a few weeks of purchase and won’t be buying anything else.

  • Cute bottles that keep drinks cold FOREVER. I always carry a tote bag, and they design fits perfectly without bulking up.

I am once again asking for a straw lid for the water bottles...

  • if you drop a s'well water bottle in the middle of a soul cycle class and the music is too loud to hear it, does it make a noise? i really like my s'well bottles, but they've lost the chokehold they once had over us. idk i guess there's more water bottle options now or people have leaned more into their earthy side (think nalgene) and less into their sleek side (sorry s'well thats you)

i would never pay full price for one of these bottles. editting my review and also knocking off a point because i was today years old when i found out you cannot put these in the dishwasher .. wut.

  • S'well is a classic for a reason. The narrow mouth means I don't splash water all over myself when drinking mid-workout. After trying countless water bottles that leaked, dented, or left a metallic taste, I'm loyal to S'well.

  • I love my Swell bottle! It’s the perfect blend of style, functionality, and sustainability. It keeps my drinks cold for hours, even on hot days, and hot drinks stay warm for just as long. The sleek design fits easily into my bag, and there are so many color options to choose from, which adds a personal touch. Plus, it feels great to use a reusable bottle that reduces single-use plastic waste. Highly recommend Swell bottles to anyone looking for a reliable, stylish, and eco-friendly way to stay hydrated!

  • Beautiful designs - I remember their Gray Malin collab was especially gorgeous, I'm sad to have lost my bottle. Keeps beverages quite cold or hot. I think they're due for a resurgence soon. The lack of straw is a real advantage when it comes to cleaning.

  • I really like the variety of shapes, sizes, and uses S'well comes in. While I don't necessarily find that the water bottles are unique to the reusable water bottle market, I do love the wine tumblers, perfect for a glass of wine at a picnic or outdoor concert. The wine tumbler, for a full bottle of wine, isn't a bad edition either. They are high quality, well made, and an overall good investment.

  • Love S'well bottles. I've had mine for over 5 years and it's still in great condition and does a good job at keeping my water cold all day long.
