S’well earns strong reviews for performance and style: bottles and drinkware reliably keep beverages icy-cold or piping hot for hours, don’t leak, fit cup holders and backpacks, and come in distinctive colors, marbles, and collaborations. Reviews also flag drawbacks—narrow mouths and caps that are difficult to clean, easy denting and exterior chipping/scratching, occasional metallic taste or odor, and dated designs versus newer competitors—making it excellent for temperature retention but less compelling for durability and ergonomics.

I’m going to date myself with the reference, but I received a Swell bottle as a gift with purchase from a Birchbox Man transaction almost ten years ago. As far as freebees go, this one is one of the best. They are easy to use and maintain the water temperature. I cannot speak to the price point, but it feels like it would be expensive. Also, it takes a little more effort to clean, but that effort is worth it.

The patterns on the bottle are nice and it definitely has a higher end look and gives off fashion vibes. I wish the opening was big enough to put ice though.

The S'well water bottle was among the long list of water bottles that I tried and used for a period of time. This particular water bottle was among my favorites. Well made. Attractive designs Easily fits into a backpack. Great for trips

We have a few swell products. I first was lured by their cute water bottle designs at Target (maybe 6 yrs ago!) We love the sipping top that seal tightly on the water bottle. The Sip bottle is a pleasing shape but holds a small amount of water. But, the designs are fun and the quality is excellent. Ours have been through many washes and lots of hard wear and the paint has held up better than most other brands. I also have a a couple bowls with lids and all are the same excellent quality and nice design.

I feel like S'well was ahead of the curve when it launched, but I'm afraid there are more practical options in the water bottle + tumbler game now. My original S'well bottle is gorgeous but really hard to clean. I love how sleek they are but I'm now turning to Yeti to keep my drinks ice cold and be able to clean easily.

I love S'well bottles. Over the years, we've bought several of our own and have been gifted at least one. They stay in daily rotation, usually with water, sometimes with tea or coffee. They're super easy to handwash. We use a bottle brush, but if you don't develop coffee stains, you can just shake soap and hot water inside to clean. The oldest bottle, shown in photo (bought, I think, 6 years ago), still looks pretty good. It now has cosmetic imperfections and some very tiny dent. These things are crazy durable. I constantly drop them. This is kind of weird to me, but I also get lots of compliments on my prettier bottles. Apparently there is social currency in carrying an attractive water bottle, lol. I have both solid colors and patterns.

I don't think S'well could improve. It's already great. Just keep making more gorgeous patterns.

My absolute favorite water bottle — tested, many many times, various products — they’re all great. Forget the price, this product is worth the hype! (or maybe just wait till Swell has a sale for that product on your wishlist?)

These products are next level! I have 3 bottles and the pop tops and it's the best. I love having super cold water for the gym and hikes!

I have the swell water bottle and while the design and hold of it I would rate a 5/5 I prefer water bottles that I don’t need 2 hands to open. I have a baby so I’m often walking with a stroller which makes it difficult to use both hands, or if I’m driving, etc. Does a great job keeping water cold.

Would love a lid that doesn’t require 2 hands to open!

Phone, keys, wallet, S’well. That’s what I need when I head out the door. I have been using this product for 7 years. I bring my S’well everywhere, to yoga, work, on the plane, and hiking in the mountains where I fill it with glacier water. (See picture) I only put water in my S’well. It is easy to clean with water and a drop of dish soap. I love the sleek design. It is pretty durable. I have dropped it a few times and now it kind of leans to one side when on a flat surface. I have never had to replace the seal on my bottles. I think this is a good investment.

The lid to my 18 ounce tumbler had a small plastic tab broken about 4 months of use. I wrote to them and they answered within a few minutes, asked me to provide some simple info and they quickly replied that a replacement lid was being shipped. It's a great looking and very efficient product. After sales service is 10 on 10 as well

Looooooove Swell. We have a bunch of these in various sizes. My husband even prefers these to his Yeti for his morning coffee.

Really like the shape of these. I use a smaller bottle to send to school with my son. On Mondays I pack him “breakfast” for lunch (LOL) so he gets a bowl of Lucky Charms (they are gluten free but still fun 😉) and I fill his small water bottle with oat milk. It stays nice and cold until lunch. We use the small wine tumblers for our morning coffee because we like the sleek shape.

S'well bottles do exactly what the brand claims they do: they keep temperature and are durable. Perfect for transporting hot coffee on a cold day. Very portable (I'll throw my S'well bottle in my backpack) and hot temperature stays (no need to microwave coffee when at destination).

Be aware that this is not dishwasher safe. If you are not willing to clean the bottle yourself, it may not be a good fit for you.

Great bottle. Keeps liquids cold, sleek and easy to hold and fit on side of backpack. Love that it’s not super clunky.

Great water bottle for kids who play sports. Always kept my water cold and me refreshed whenever I was playing sports.

Lifesaver in the winter. I love putting tea in my S'well so I can sip piping hot tea for the whole day.

It's a fine brand. I don't love it, but I don't dislike it either.

I love the super cute print on my bottle and it keeps my water cold for my 12hr work days

I have used S'well travel water bottles for a few years now and have found them to be effective at keeping liquids warm or cool. The metal and colour has worn well and the overall design is minimal and pleasing. I would re-purchase these again.
S'Well is known for their beautiful, well-structured water bottles but I'm a fan of their 40oz and 64oz "Roamers," which are great for long trips or if you want to keep water or coffee near you without having to go for multiple refills. I also love their colorful kids' food canisters. They are so much better than keeping your child's food in plastic, which we all know can leach harmful chemicals. Their new ocean marble and rose marble colors are beautiful. The only downside is the price can be a little high if you want to buy a bottle for everyone in your family.
