Lush earns polarizing reviews: aficionados praise its standout bath bombs, indulgent scrubs (Scrubee, Ocean Salt, Magic Crystals), beloved staples like Dream Cream, Celestial, and Mask of Magnaminty, plus vegan/eco-minded practices and fun in‑store testing. Detractors cite overpowering, sometimes irritating fragrances, inconsistent efficacy (notably some skincare, conditioners, and shampoo bars), product discontinuations, and occasional staining or messy residue from bombs—making the brand better for gifts and sensorial self‑care than results‑driven routines.

Love my lush products! The store is wonderful and the products are even better.
Omg love the bath bombs
I love lush. It is a bit expensive but it is always fun to get gifts there. I really like their masks and I used to use the coffee mask on my back all the time. Some of their products aren’t the most sustainable but the brand overall makes a serious effort so I appreciate that.
I’ve been a devout Lushie since I was in middle school. Yes, the products are expensive, but I love that it’s all natural, smells amazing, and benefits the planet. The range of products is crazy and I haven’t come across one that’s not worth the hype (except maybe the shampoo bar, but that’s because I have an insane amount of hair and felt like I had to scrub for hours). My favorites include the Good Karma body wash, the Mask of Magnaminty, the Deep Sleep and Dragon Egg bath bomb, Ceridwen’s Cauldron bath melt, and so much more
I've loved Lush for a decade now. I think they make some of my favorite smells in the world! Their lotions and face masks are such a treat — I always am happy to shop in store and treat myself to something new!
It’s expensive but such a good experience. I love the store experience. Smells great but unfortunately it’s a treat for me as I can’t afford it all the time.
I've been a Lush gal since forever. I love their body scrubs (Magic Crystals is my fav), shower gels, body creams, face masks. Lush is one of the brands that still has a recycling program (for 5 empties, you can get a face mask). Yes, the scents can be heavy sometimes but I love that!
Lush has the best bath bombs, hands down. If you have a solid argument of a competitor, let me know. I'm actually intrigued. While I roll my eyes at the price point, I realize the hot commodity self-care is in this everyday stressful life, and these bath bombs bring an ounce of serenity into my many long days. They're perfect for gift-giving for mom's, gal pals, or even to treat yourself on a really bad day.
Love lush! Love the smell, the packaging and especially the bath bombs!
Expensive but joyful products. Their bath bombs are more fun than effective. More of an aromatherapy experience than a body treatment. There are better ways to sooth and treat your skin. I used to be addicted to their sea salt seaweed soap, but they changed their formula and it isn't the same anymore. I've tried various lotions, masks, face mists, and massage bars. Lovely products but not effective or affordable enough for me to repurchase.
So honest review is that it's a hit and miss. I love the smell of a Lush stores, you can smell it from a mile away. I do love the Mask of magnanimity, the hair milk and the bath bombs. But the products obviously have a low shelf life and don't always perform the best. So yes, a hit and miss.

I personally am not the hugest fan of Lush because I find the amount of fragrance in their products to be lightly nauseating. I don't even like walking past their storefronts because of how strong the smell is. That said, I do like the few products that have been gifted to me – a massage bar, bath bombs, and a hand cream. But I will likely not ever be purchasing for myself.
Lush has some very cool products, but I can't go in store because the smell is so strong. They have a body scrub bar shaped like a bee that I love.
Their mint lip scrub is really nice and all their products smell super nice!

I am an on again/off again shopper. The quality? Consistent. The scents? Often very good! However. I am aware their worker policies aren't the best - have heard from workers in different stores in different states. So just wish their values showed beyond the kinds of products they make!
Going into lush is always a super fun experience. I always enjoy checking out all of the new products. I always end up walking out with one of their fresh face masks.
I've tried Lush's magic crystals scrub and it had a really great scent! It's a fun addition to a bath routine, and it would be a great self-care gift for family/friends.
Lush has always been hit or miss for me in terms of the actual products but I love the mission and ethos of the brand. Because they’re natural, some products don’t work as well as I’d like but some of my favorites are: -Shampoo bar and conditioners: They’re great for traveling -Fresh face masks: These are so soothing and refreshing because they stay in your fridge! -Honey I Washed The Kids: the OG soap is my favorite but this scent is now a part of several things like a shampoo bar, body wash, etc. I usually like fruitier/lighter scents but this honey toffee one is just so great. It’s a perfectly balanced sweet and salty scent that smells great on skin. -Sticky Dates body wash: It’s another exception to my scent preference. This one is strong and caramel-y but not in a fake or Bath & Bodywork’s type way. It feels rich and luxurious and reminds me so much of a real sticky toffee pudding. It feels like a treat to use in the shower.
I love lush! Although a bit pricey, I believe all of their stuff is hand crafted. Ingredients are mostly clean and everything smells great! My favorites have been the Luigi body wash (from their cute Mario movie collab) and their body butter. The in-person shopping experience has always been so fun as well!
I’ve bought lush products for many years and kind of assumed they were organic. Shame on me bc they don’t say they are. But I love their philosophy of natural ingredients. The Sleepy body cream is heavenly. The shampoos bars come handy for traveling. I do think the products are pricey for what they are and that there are better working products out there that are truly organic.
