Grove Collaborative earns largely positive reviews for effective, fresh‑smelling, eco‑minded cleaning and home essentials, but frustration around an aggressive, confusing subscription model and occasional product quality issues tempers the praise. Reviews credit the brand’s reusable glass dispensers, concentrates, scents like Lemon Eucalyptus and Orange Rosemary, and broad curated selection (from Dirty Labs to OSEA), while calling out weak sprayers, breakable glass bottles, hit‑or‑miss house‑brand tools, and packaging waste; buyers who dislike subscriptions or want maximum cleaning power may be disappointed.

I found the brand's model and inventory to be overwhelming and with the push to subscription, I decided to opt out after placing two orders over the course of a couple of months. While I respect and desire using safer products, I felt like it was more work to search and select the brands and items online. I also found some of the items (sponges and reusable/washable paper towel) to be low quality. I learned that I seek out a smaller inventory of core products vs lots of choices and a growing assortment. I gifted my Mom a Grove kit and she absolutely loves the brand and searching out items with each order, but for me it didn't work out.
Very convenient if you don’t have a car. Smells nice & like the bottles. Like their promotions.
Love the concept behind the brand, and their glass bottles look nice. However, I switched over to a similar brand because I had too many issues with the sprayer component of their bottle. At $15 a pop, I'd expect a bottle that doesn't run into so many issues. Would love to see them improve the quality.
one of my favorite companies to buy cleaning products from! I love how sustainable and clean the products are.
Have a monthly subscription where I receive paper towels, soap, and more.

Some of my previous orders were missing items and I have had to adjust my subscription to slow down my orders.
It's weird because even though the cleaner bottles they sell come wrapped in silicone, the one I had fell off an ankle-high shelf and still broke. (At least the silicone kept the glass shards from flying everywhere.) Also, I couldn't find the cancel subscription button on the site. I actually still haven't unsubscribed from the site, it's a good thing my credit card on there is now defunct.
I tried Grove years ago when they had one of their pretty good new member packages (lots of free products with your first order) and really enjoyed everything I got, and also love the platform for an easy way to find brands and products that align with their mission.

I stopped ordering from them directly because it just wasn't convenient compared to the alternatives but that might change now that some of their products are stocked in Target, so excited to try it out and see if the quality still holds up.
I love my Grove products and the fact that I feel like I’m doing good for our environment when I use them - they’re very reasonably priced and the smells are amazing.
Bought from their website last year, and now our dish soap, cleaning spray and hand soap is the only brand we use in the kitchen. So glad they are now at target as shipping can take a bit. Also love that the have seasonal scents!

Super high-end packaging and products. Definitely takes cleaning to the next level when the spray bottle is made of glass! As to the cleaning materials themselves seem good so far although we all struggle with the more toxic liquids performing better... wish it were otherwise!

So far, so good... bit pricey but that's the main complaint.

Loved this brand during lockdown, great selection

Wish they were in the UK!
I really like Grove's mission and it's commitment to sustainability as well as their most recent pledge to go plastic-free! Their products are really good, and very affordable. They also have other brands that have been vetted for sale on their website. Buying through here has essentially replaced our need for Costco membership, and I feel good about.

I site is quirky with one-time buy vs recurring shipment. You have to remember to go in their and reset the subscription component for the things you just bought and don't need for a while.
I tried grove because I loved the mission and concept of the company. It was super great during the pandemic when I didn’t want to go into stores to buy products. However, as a single person I couldn’t keep up with the subscriptions so I felt like I was always pausing or skipping my packages to where I eventually just stopped using the service. I’m sure if you have a family or small office you’d find the product more useful!
Subscribed to them for a while. Loved their products.
Love the mission, but the products still need some development. Of course, all 'clean' products have to contend with the efficiency of commercialized chemical-based products - there is always a compromise, but I need more powerful results when it comes to cleaning my home. I really wih they could crack it.
Love the mission behind this brand I consistently have used the cleaning concentrates from this brand for years. I love that they have new scents pretty often and the effectiveness.
I've reordered from this company multiple times and will probably keep coming back as needed. The subscription model is annoying because I only need home products a couple of times a year so I always have to go back to cancel it though.
cleans well, sustainable, good smells, great subscription options
I love their product, especially when they first came out of target they had great promotions. I just wish that they had more options but overall they’re great and super eco-friendly definitely a goodbuy
Products are good but often at a premium price point. However, sustainability is definitely at their forefront which keeps me choosing them over others. Products work as well as any others on the market, not a standout but not a drawback either
