Reviews mention

  • Elegant reusable glass bottles
  • Sustainability-forward packaging alternatives
  • Pleasant, nuanced fragrance options
  • Curated, vetted brand assortment
  • Fragile, failure-prone sprayer components
  • Inconsistent cleaning potency results
  • Bulky, wasteful shipping packaging
  • Occasional low-quality accessory tools

Grove Collaborative earns mixed-to-positive reviews: its eco-minded cleaners, reusable glass bottles, aluminum refills, and crowd-pleasing scents (like Lemon Eucalyptus and Orange Rosemary) generally work and help cut plastic, but recurring complaints cite fragile or faulty sprayers/bottles, inconsistent product performance, and a pushy, confusing subscription experience. Reviewers praise curated, vetted brands, thoughtful touches (handwritten notes), and standout items such as cleaning concentrates, laundry sheets, and bamboo paper goods, while noting packaging waste and occasional broken or missing items—useful for buyers weighing sustainability and convenience against UX friction and durability gaps.

  • I have purchased from Grove only once before on the site and bought other products from them elsewhere. I placed an order recently to buy my mom a product and then chose a few for myself along with the membership. I do like the selection, the eco-friendliness, some sales/discounts/the VIP membership, etc... I am hoping that the annual membership is worth it and that I can take advantage of more sales.

  • I’ve been a big fan of Grove Co’s eco friendly packaging ever since they were sold at Target. While I miss the convenience of picking up at my local store, it’s worth it to place an order. All the scents smell great and the spray cleans my countertops with ease. Most importantly, I’m super happy reducing my plastic waste.

  • I buy these in bulk and keep every room in the house stocked. The containers fit well into our box holders and I haven’t had any complaints from any household users. I like that there’s not even a hint of plastic in the packaging.

  • I like Grove’s soap formulas and appreciate the variety of scents they have available, including their seasonal releases. I also like that they ship in metal containers, but I’d love to see them switch to a pressed tablet like BlueLand to cut down on the cost of shipping water weight.

  • Grove dispensers work great, I’ve never had issues with one. I don’t think the silicone sleeves are very aesthetic, but they do help prevent shattering and provide a label utility in some cases so I understand why they’re there.

  • Always on the look out for sustainable home products - delighted that I found Grove. I purchased a few items from its well organized website, including powder shampoo, silk biodegradable dental floss etc. My local shop is usually sold out of (affordable) recycled toilet paper and kitchen towels — I’ve managed to cut way back on paper towel usuage but just can’t manage to cut myself off completely. Anyway, tried the Bamboo toilet paper and kitchen towels. Toilet paper rolls much larger than the usual ones that I buy, and much more robust. However I am surprised at the large amount of cardboard that’s used in the shipping: better than plastic of course, but it seems a bit wasteful compared to paper wrapping. Still, a high quality product. I’ll probably return to the recycled option as it’s lower water use during production but it’s good to have this as a backup option. I’m very happy with the other products I purchased there too.

  • I was looking for a non-toxic cleaner that actually foamed so I could easily clean my shower tiles, and this has been perfect. With other natural cleaners, I felt like I had to scrub harder and use more product, but this one makes it so much easier to keep up with regular cleaning. The spray is strong and even (not one of those weak sprayers where nothing comes out), and the foam clings just enough to do its job. Plus, it smells really nice. Overall, super happy with it. Custome service was great too. One of the products came damaged and they responded promptly by adding a credit to my account.

  • I’ve been a member since 2017. I don’t use as much as I did as we now have a house cleaner as I’m in my late 70’s. I still use products we like and I love the fact that they’ve expanded introducing new companies. I simply wrote them and explained that to save on the damage from constant shipping, I prefer to shop about 3-4 times a year and stick-up on what I want or need. That stopped the subscription issue. I will agree that their scents - especially hand soaps, are awful; however, again they offer products from other companies. I really love their shower spray , glass cleaner and products for my bathroom.

  • Grove Collaborative has been a game changer for eco-friendly household products. I love that they offer natural, sustainable options for cleaning, personal care, and more. The subscription is convenient, and the products work well without harmful chemicals. Plus, their customer service is top-notch!

  • I purchased a bunch of items from Grove as a special promotion a bit ago and these three products stand out in my mind: 1) the glass spray bottles with colorful bottoms are terrific for refilling liquids -- especially when using the 1 oz concentrates. And so much prettier to look at! 2) the multi-surface counter sprays -- obsessed with these! 3) Dish soap refill -- also obsessed. Favorite scents are the peppermint one and then Lavender. I was not reimbursed nor did I receive a discount from my purchases.

  • I bought from Grove Co. online back before the pandemic trying to find products that were better for me and the environment . When the pandemic came along, no one could find cleaning products anywhere - except at Grove. I still have my original hand soap dispenser in the kitchen (5 years old?) that came as a gift with purchase. Since then, I found my favorite product at Target! I use the Orange-Rosemary scent multi-purpose cleaner. It is great to coffee clean stains off my light-colored cabinets to dog pee on the rug. It comes in a paper box and tiny glass bottles. You pour just a bit of the concentrate in a squirt bottle and add water.

  • I got the multi-purpose cleaner with concentrate and soap dispenser with hand soap. Living in a large house with a lot of roommates, we naturally go through a lot of cleaning products and the grove was a great sustainable and inexpensive option! The cleaner cut the grease on our countertop and smells amazing. Also with purchasing both items our order came with a lot of free gifts such as sponges, reusable zip lock bags, and extra soap refill bottles.

  • I have used Grove on and off for over 3 years now. I love all the perks of having a membership but at the same time it is kind of over priced for the perks. Also Grove charges more and you can get the same things at Target . However if you are someone who don't have a Target near you or don't like to go out shopping Grove is the best place to go to get good non harsh cleaning supplies. Also Grove does price match!!! The reusable bottles are my favorite and last also durable !

  • Love grove the seedling bamboo toilet paper is our favorite!

The hand written notes on the boxes are the best!

  • They have the best toilet paper on the market by far! I’ve had multiple guests mention it. I like how affordable it makes quality and sustainable products and the subscription makes everything even easier.

  • Grove products are fantastic! They offer delightful scents in an eco-friendly product that actually works! I love that they offer glass spray bottles. We’ve reused them dozens of times for all of our household cleaning products. The subscription option is fantastic, as well! We loved not having to think about ordering, and have it show up right when we needed it!

  • I have been able to purchase their hand soap via target and it has been great to use. I will say I do get a lot of targeted ads via social media regarding the "free" package they offer to start you on a kit or subscription plan. While I like the mission of the company and I always look for more healthy and sustainable alternatives the marketing campaign and subsequent emails I found aggressive and turned me off of the product (at least to buy directly from them).

  • I love the sustainability of this company and their earth-friendly mission. I've ordered from them twice now and I've been very happy with their products. I've received several free gifts from them too, that I've really liked. I use their all-purpose, kitchen, and bathroom cleaners. I also love their soaps; they have a nice smell and don't bother my sensitive skin. I just have to watch for their refill reminder emails because if I miss one, I may get a shipment I wasn't ready for yet.

Great company with good, earth-friendly products. I will continue to buy from them.

  • I love the purpose behind these and the clean formulas, but I prefer some of the other clean alternatives. I just like the branding of others more, but these are definitely great!
