Grove Collaborative Reviews

4.3

Grove Collaborative earns largely positive reviews for effective, fresh‑smelling, eco‑minded cleaning and home essentials, but frustration around an aggressive, confusing subscription model and occasional product quality issues tempers the praise. Reviews credit the brand’s reusable glass dispensers, concentrates, scents like Lemon Eucalyptus and Orange Rosemary, and broad curated selection (from Dirty Labs to OSEA), while calling out weak sprayers, breakable glass bottles, hit‑or‑miss house‑brand tools, and packaging waste; buyers who dislike subscriptions or want maximum cleaning power may be disappointed.

  • I have purchased from Grove only once before on the site and bought other products from them elsewhere. I placed an order recently to buy my mom a product and then chose a few for myself along with the membership. I do like the selection, the eco-friendliness, some sales/discounts/the VIP membership, etc... I am hoping that the annual membership is worth it and that I can take advantage of more sales.

  • Always on the look out for sustainable home products - delighted that I found Grove. I purchased a few items from its well organized website, including powder shampoo, silk biodegradable dental floss etc. My local shop is usually sold out of (affordable) recycled toilet paper and kitchen towels — I’ve managed to cut way back on paper towel usuage but just can’t manage to cut myself off completely. Anyway, tried the Bamboo toilet paper and kitchen towels. Toilet paper rolls much larger than the usual ones that I buy, and much more robust. However I am surprised at the large amount of cardboard that’s used in the shipping: better than plastic of course, but it seems a bit wasteful compared to paper wrapping. Still, a high quality product. I’ll probably return to the recycled option as it’s lower water use during production but it’s good to have this as a backup option. I’m very happy with the other products I purchased there too.

  • I buy these in bulk and keep every room in the house stocked. The containers fit well into our box holders and I haven’t had any complaints from any household users. I like that there’s not even a hint of plastic in the packaging.

  • I like Grove’s soap formulas and appreciate the variety of scents they have available, including their seasonal releases. I also like that they ship in metal containers, but I’d love to see them switch to a pressed tablet like BlueLand to cut down on the cost of shipping water weight.
