Bala earns strong reviews for sleek, durable workout accessories that make low‑impact routines and daily walks more effective and more fun, but the brand divides opinion on comfort and performance at higher intensities. • The Bala Bangles do the job for the most part, but some functionality may have suffered from the enhanced design. They look very cute and I look stylish doing The Pilates Class with them on but noticed when doing a more intense workout the elasticity will actually cause the velcro to come undone. The texture is soft and has a good selection of colors.

  • Really on-trend fitness product. I have the sliders, which are not the primary seller, but they work well. I don’t see myself buying the bangles as I prefer lifting weight at the gym.

  • I liked the quality and feel of the ankle weights but after using these for about a week I realized I could have gone heavier so I would make sure you do your research there. Will definitely add to the collection since they're all so sleek looking.

  • I'm not great about using them, but when I do, I am a big fan. Sleek, visually appealing, easy to use, easy to clean, easy to store… the list goes on. Plus, I love a pastel. Products: the wrist weights and 3 pound dumbbell-esque weights both in pink.

  • Unlike the clunky velcro weights, these Bala Bangles actually stay put during Pilates and don't chafe. They're aesthetically pleasing, which makes me more likely to use them consistently.

  • The original wrist weights that started such a trend. I love the colors. I love the idea. I love the convenience. My only complaints are the price and the Velcro can get itchy.

  • I love these as a product, but I feel like I bought them more because they look hot and are fun. I use them occasionally when I do yoga routines, but not as much as I'd like to use them because they sit at this weird inbetween weight. Over time, as you get stronger as well, sometimes they aren't heavy enough. But they feel amazing and they look amazing and are easy for yoga and light weight routines.

  • the easiest way to add some weight while doing pilates or even walking. I use weighted bangles for the majority of my workouts! definitely recommend!

  • I have the pink Bala free weights and I adore them. Not only are they super cute, but they are also ergonomically designed to evenly distribute the weight while being used. They are super easy to clean and they also come with a black mesh carrying case, which I also really appreciate.

Bala products are very expensive. They are definitely luxury items but I would say that they are worth the splurge for those who regularly work out and are willing to spend a little more on fitness accessories.

  • i love bala! their items are super aesthetically pleasing and i think they've revolutionized the workout game in that regard. only reason they get 4 stars instead of 5 is because the price point is a bit high

  • I have had my rainbow bala ankle weights for years now. While they usually weren’t the most comfortable things to wear, they were not painful like I find them to be now. I am ashamed to admit that I bought these bala ankle weights for aesthetic reasons and not for practical ones. I would not recommend doing the same thing.

  • Overpriced weighs but they are quite stylish. I received mine for free, I forget what membership I had at the time, but super cute. Wouldn't buy a whole collection of things.

  • They are so fun! Much nicer than other wearable weights I've had throughout my life, plus a lot more comfortable.

  • Pretty colors and very cool, but honestly less comfortable than I expected especially for the price. The bands have really good strong velcro but it kind of hurts to have on bare skin for me personally. I have also liked using their weigh bars in classes too!

  • They are so stylish. They are soft and easy to break a sweat in.

The edges of the panels occasionally jab against protruding bones.

  • As a brand, I’d recommend! I like their bangles, although I used the communal ones at Y3 in NYC recently and they kept kept falling off of me and others, leading me to think that they won’t last forever…? The Velcro kind of just stops working and it gets so distracting in your workout when they keep falling off- I ended up just taking them off! My set at home works great though, I guess I just haven’t put in the hours yet to break them…

  • Bala was out to impress since its debut on Shark Tank and continuously surpasses my expectations. I love the look, feel & materials used across their products and personally love the aesthetic they've created online. If you love to travel and want something that can fit in your carry on, look no further!

  • Their marketing is great, because these really are just wrist and ankle weights. That said, they are so pretty, and fit very comfortable. I have had them for a few years, and they have lasted and still look good.

  • I use some of the Bala equipment in my physio sessions - I don't know the product names but they're the ankle weights and the weighted bar. They have such a nice texture, and are really good to workout with. The ankle weights velcro around and they're very comfortable to wear. The bar has a bend in it that conforms comfortably to your body and it's a good alternative to add weight to an exercise as opposed to hand weights.
