Bala earns strong reviews for sleek, durable workout accessories that make low‑impact routines and daily walks more effective and more fun, but the brand divides opinion on comfort and performance at higher intensities. Reviews praise the Bangles, Bars, and Power Ring for aesthetic design, easy travel/storage, and motivating versatility, while citing limited weight ranges, velcro-related discomfort/fit issues, and occasional sliding or chafing—especially on ankles—as notable drawbacks.

Honestly cant say Ive ever seen workout accessories look so cute, they can even be out on the shelf! The ankle weights (I have the older version) are a little uncomfortable but if I wear them over socks or leggings they're fine, and kind of fun to just wear around the house! I have the ring and dumbells as well, which I love both of, and I appreciate how dynamic the ring can be for different types of exercises. Im not a super fitness-y person so cant attest to how they compare to other weights as Ive never had any others besides a random tiny 3lb plastic covered dumbell but I like these!
I have the workout ring and bangles. The pieces are stylish and easy to clean. Price is a little steep but you are definitely paying for the aesthetics.
I have not yet found better ones and better design. Great motivation to work out.

I have one set of Bala bands & love using them when working out.

So easy to keep together, stay on very well & in place while moving.
Keywords: chique & functional. . I feel like the look and feel while I'm on a walk. They are such a geek for beautiful clean colorways and a sleek design and they nail it on both fronts. Functionally - gives me just enough extra weight to feel the burn, which is greatly appreciated.

I love Bala bangles; they stay on the wrist or ankle comfortably and enhance my workout. Previous wrist-weights I used were clunky and uncomfortable, but Bala bangles are so much better for a weight you hardly know is there (except for the challenge of extra weight)!
Expensive but good looking and effective
Have the bars, bangles, and power ring. They’re cute and pretty easy to store. Love that the bangles and bars come with a little carrying case. They look better than some equipment when left out. I like wearing my bangles around the house when doing laundry, cooking, etc.
I love these bands!! Perfect addition to low impact workouts and for walking. Very easy to put on and they do make a difference! Love all of the color options too

I have the 1 lb ankle/wrist weights. They look so 80s-chick. It’s amazing how one pound feels so ‘heavy’ when doing the same Pilates moves. It is pricy, but I’m buying it for the looks and functionality. Happy with my decision!
I wish they offered heavier weights for the bangles, but they are a great product if you're looking for light ankle/wrist weights. Not clunky at all and so cute. I'm sure at this point there are comparable brands on the market with the same look & feel for a better price, but I don't regret buying these. Will use them for a long time.

Weights as wristband? What a brilliant idea. I got their 1lb wristbands and tried doing aerobics at home…and boy, my muscles were sore after that. It felt great, and I love to use it on daily workout.

My hot pink Bala Bangles make working out (or just walking around lol) way more fun! They’re cute enough that I actually want to wear them, and I love that they add a little extra challenge without feeling bulky. A long hilly walk with bala bangles is chefs kiss! The only downside is sometimes if I don't put them on carefully, the velcro is almost sharp and hurts LOL
I love my Bala Bangles. I typically wear them on my wrists to elevate the burn of my walks or on my ankles to elevate home workouts. You can definitely find cheaper alternatives, but these are cute and worth it in my opinion. I prefer the 2 lb.

I love my Bala bangles. They're very cute, no qualms! The price is high and you can probably find similar ones on Temu for less than a quarter of the price, but my personal perspective on fitness gear is that the more you invest in fitness gear/service, the more you'll use them, so I'm willing to do it. Moreover, you probably won't have to repurchase these. They're good quality and will last - the velcro on mine is intact and I've used them once a week for at least 2 years. One recommendation though is for them to list the weight on the bangles. I literally have no clue how much the ones I have weigh anymore (unless I'm completely missing it, but I cannot find it written anywhere, which I find strange). I also have the ball, which was a gift and came with a hand pump. Not gonna lie, it took me more time than I'd like to admit to figure out how to inflate the ball, because it did not come with directions and I'm inept. As someone new to pilates, it would have been nice to receive instructions because I think I inflated it too much, and it's meant to be inflated around 80%, and now I have no idea how to deflate it. I'd recommend Bala products as a nice gift for your fitness friend, if you can afford it! (that friend is me ... I've got my eye on the Beam!)
I recently bought a pair of wrist weights, and they are a game changer in adding a little resistance to your cardio workouts. I love walking on the treadmill with the weights, to give my workout a little more of a challenge.
Fun accessory to add to walks or Pilates. Wish the lighter colors were easier to clean and these came in heavier weights. They’re pricey and I’m not sure there’s much of a difference between Bala and Amazon brand. If you’re on the fence, go with the cheaper option.
These are great weights to add a little oomph to your workout at the gym or at home. I wear them on incline walks to train for hiking. It can be a little bit of a pain to adjust them to the proper size with the velcro, but still well worth using. I like the sleek look so I'm not embarrassed to wear them outside my house.
Expensive but lovely. I have their foam roller, ankle weights, yoga blocks, ball, and beam. I honestly adore them all and they’re cute enough to leave out, which increases their use (and my workout periodicity).
For reference, I'm a personal trainer and have a lot of opinions on exercise equipment. I've always been intrigued but also skeptical of Bala. Bala is unique for the aesthetic, and is geared toward someone who wants a stylish gym set-up, not necessarily someone who plans on using said equipment for a more traditional workout routine. While some of the designs are innovative, the weights themselves do not go very high, and you're paying a premium for a look (a 15 lb weight costing over $100 is VERY expensive). It seems like a brand for people who are afraid of lifting weights. I have a power ring that I found at a discount retailer, as well as the hourglass foam roller. The power ring I actually like, but I only use it as part of a limited space set-up where I don't have a normal set of weights. The foam roller seemed like a good idea, but the foam is too dense, and in terms of effectiveness, you're probably better off with one from a company that focuses on recovery tools, especially when it's not cheap. There are companies out there that really care about the effectiveness of their tools and the health benefits, but you won't get the same aesthetic so if that's your priority Bala is fine. At the end of the day, if it gets you to workout, great. I do think there's potential and some of their designs fit a gap in the market, but overall, you're paying an awful lot of money for what you get.
