I have the Debaser Buffing Bar. I have been recommended this product by a bunch of friends and finally pulled the trigger. I am a strong user of the korean scrub towel and the buffing bar is the first exfoliant product i've used that gets even remotely similar to the scrub feel of the towel. helps that the smell is great as well!

So I’ll be honest the first time I bought this hand cream was purely for the packaging (the fact that the lid is magnetic is a really nice touch). I am just a sucker for beautiful packaging especially when it sits on my night stand. Secondly I’m in my 40s and I’ve noticed my hands aging. I had never regularly used hand cream before and the fact that this has retinol seemed like a good option. My initial reaction after using the product for the first time was “this is really nice but can I really justify the price?!” Well this is my third refill so clearly the answer is YES. I absolutely adore the scent and it absorbs nicely. It’s the only hand cream I have ever consistently used in my life.

This brand pretty much nails everything -- The branding/packaging is stunning. I haven't loved a branding this much in a while. AND the ingredients and products they offer are so innovative, and you can tell there was serious care put into the decisions of ingredients, texture/finish/feel, and packaging! I only have Theraplush (which is GENIUS by the way!) but am hoping to try it all soon!

I have been eyeing soft services for a while so I was very excited to see a Thingdrop for them. Shipping and delivery was so quick. I got email updates throughout the entire process. The packaging of the products was beautiful. There is definitely an attention to detail and care for the products with delivery. I got the hand lotion, buffing bar, and soap home. The hand lotion is wonderful, slightly fragranced and melts into my hands. The buffing bar is great! It exfoilates really well. Additionally the soap home is nice product- I feel like my soap will not get washed away as much during my showers. Overall great products and I will definitely purchase again!

I like the packaging soft service ships in and I love the look of the theraplush dispenser on my nightstand. Sadly the actual formula of the hand cream is unpleasant. The scent isn’t nice and the cream itself is super sticky and seems to stay sticky for hours. The cream may be hydrating and the retinol may help prevent hand aging overtime; however at $36 for 1.7oz I think there are much better options. The product is not travel friendly either. The lid has some magnets in it but they are not strong enough to hold it on during travel. Aesthetically it’s great but from a practical standpoint it’s nothing special.

I received a full size Clearing Clay in a special edition GQ box. I double checked their site and see the product is no longer available. I can see why. I actually like the sulphur smell, but the product left my face feeling sticky after using it, which didn’t line up with the intended use. It looks like their product offering has decreased. I would still like to try other items in their assortment.

I love the scrub bar. I was an early customer b/c I know the founders, but have become a loyal customer because of the quality of the scrub bar. I buy in bulk for free shipping for me and my husband. My husband is prone to dry skin, so it's become a part of his daily routine. It's made a noticeable difference. I also tried the skin lotion, but I didn't have strong feelings in any direction about it. But the scrub bar is a must for anyone with skin texture issues.

The lotion and Speed Soak feel great and absorb quickly, which makes them perfect for humid summers. I also appreciate that they’re unscented. The scrub and smoothing solution seem promising, though it’s still a little early to see full results, I’ll update after a few more weeks. The cleanser feels a bit thin and doesn’t lather much, and in this case I do miss having a scent. On the other hand, the packaging is sleek and the unboxing experience feels luxe, these would make a great gift.

First Impressions: Clean Skincare Meets Couture Packaging I first discovered the Soft Services brand on Instagram — an aesthetic, paraben, sulfate, fragrance-free skincare brand that quickly landed on my “must-try” list. As someone who is passionate about clean skincare, I didn’t hesitate when this became a Thingdrop. And let me say: this is the first time I photographed all the packaging before even trying the products. It’s that stunning. Truly. Let’s start with the Affogato L’Orange Buffing Bar — it’s wrapped in the most exquisite paper, then nested inside an eco-conscious, drop-dead gorgeous box. I have never said the words “unboxing” but I now have to because it was worth remarking on. It’s magical and looks like it came from an Italian design house. I’m genuinely tempted to keep both the paper and the box… even if I don’t yet know what for. The Starter Set itself is bathroom-shelf-worthy: it includes the bestselling Buffing Bar (a microcrystal body exfoliant) and the sleek, accompanying drying dish and splash cover set is minimalist, functional, and engineered for maximum airflow and minimal water contact, so no soggy soap, an elegant solution for a more sustainable, plastic-free routine. Now, the scent. I’m extremely sensitive to fragrance, so I was curious—and a little cautious. But their description intrigued me: “freshly poured espresso, smooth vanilla-coconut cream, and a twist of Italian citrus.” What I experienced was just that: bright citrus and a bit of vanilla-coconut. It’s divine. Honestly, I wish every other product I purchased from Soft Services shared the scent. Microcrystal Exfoliant Review For context, I don’t have particularly sensitive skin—so keep that in mind. But I found this exfoliant absolutely phenomenal. It’s both a soap and an exfoliant, which makes it incredibly convenient. In fact, I tossed my Japanese exfoliating cloth. I simply don’t need it anymore. Apparently, this version has been reformulated for gentler buffing—but since this was my first time with the brand, I can’t compare. What I can say is: my skin smells heavenly and is so soft, and I’ll absolutely be repurchasing.

I purchased the theraplush set a few months back and really enjoy the packaging. I am not sure that it feels as hydrating as I would have expected, but I do like the addition of retinol. Bonus that it looks great on my nightstand!

I chose this Buffing bar as a freebie from sephora with my purchase. I have thick calluses on the heels of both of my feet that I've had for years. I've always just used a battery buffer to maintain them a few times a week, because they wouldn't go away. I used this bar a few times a week in the shower and it buffed my calluses down to almost nothing. I finally just used my battery buffer to finish buffing my heels after using the bar one day and my feet look normal and feel smooth for the first time in years. So while it didn't completely remove my calluses it took away about 90% of them and helped prep other products to be more successful. Which makes me very likely to purchase it in the future.

Blew any and all expectations. Was just looking for some lotion to get my skin through the end of the dry winter and not only was this the best body lotion (Carea Cream) I've ever used but it's also the only thing I've found really helps the KP on my arms. Also the packaging is some of the most thoughtful I've encountered. A paper bag it's beautifully wrapped in you can recycle (so you don't need to add yet another reusable tote to your closet) and the outer box also breaks down itself making recycling a breeze

Any brand lover... of skincare, design, or just good presentation... needs to buy a few Soft Services products at least once for the packaging experience alone. It’s thoughtful, elevated, and makes opening and using everything feel special. That said, the products themselves are genuinely high quality and perform really well. They’re definitely priced accordingly, but I’ve found the value holds up. I’m still using everything I bought and could absolutely see myself repurchasing when I run out. It’s a brand that nails both form and function.

The Body Buffing Bar is amazing; it helps with KP and generally makes skin feel much smoother. I also really love the Theraplush - it's the perfect bedside lotion to help with dry skin and has improved the look of my hands. 8/28/25 update: The original Body Buffing Bar is great and very neutral in scent - a little rough on skin, but very effective. The NEW L'Orange Affogato Buffing Bar smells truly amazing though, and it doesn't feel as abrasive! If your skin isn't sensitive to scent, that's the one to get.

*Update!* Ive now tried most products from this brand, I'm a bit obsessed. Obviously the buffing bar is a star, but my new favourites are the comfort cleanse which is the most luxuriously soft shower gel with an almost oily feeling but leaves you feeling perfectly clean, that I also love for shaving. Huge fan of speed soak, feels amazing, lightweight, and so far I think the smoothing solution is doing good things for my legs that are prone to ingrowns <3 Lastly, theraplush is now an essential for my bedside table! ---- I have only used one product from this brand, but I hope to try more. If i could have a crush on packaging, this would be my number one crush. I absolutely love the buffing bar, as does my partner. No body scrub can compare to the level of buffing this does. I have a set of the green banana buffing bars waiting their turn that I am eager to open when my original one runs out!

I love this stuff. I started out with the buffing bar as a recommendation from a Sephora employee and at first I was unsure - but now I love it. Its the only exfoliant that has worked for me since Oui the People's product. The bar feels rough and scratchy on your skin - but i kind of like it. I usually use the bar, shave etc - and then end my shower with a body was as I don't love the film bar soap leaves. The smoothing solution I actually really like. I can successfully say after using this product - it has helped my ingrowns so bless. My ~only~ complaint with this one - is the packing. I'm having to keep this tube right side up because otherwise it leaks which is unfortunate because then I'm losing product and this stuff isn't cheap. I have also purchased the lotion but haven't tried that one yet - but its safe to say - i'm loving the products from this brand! I've repurchased the bars twice and i know ill go back for a third time!

From my wife: I can’t speak to KP, as I have never dealt with it, but was intrigued by the buffing bar as I have always had bumpy, irritated armpits, regardless of whether I tweezed/shaved/did nothing in the armpit area. It’s only been two uses, but already, I have found that my armpits are smoother than they’ve ever been, and my ingrown hairs are gone. The buffing bar is not cheap, but I am thrilled with the results after two uses. Since the bar is pretty pricey, we decided to invest in the Soap Home as well. I like that it protects the bar soap from degrading when not in use, while also letting it dry out. Nothing too miraculous here, but it does seem to improve the longevity of the bar soap.

This brand is so forward-thinking and cool but also really works! I first heard about them via their collab with DS& Durga, but never got to try it! Instead, I’ve been using their green banana buffing bar which has been amazing - I’ve recommended it to multiple people already. Now I’ve also started using their carea cream on my body and theraplush. I’d probably buy unscented theraplush next time, but every item will definitely be purchased again! Also love how they package their boxes.

I've been interested in the Soft Services buffing bar for a while and I really wish I'd tried it earlier — it's such a great product! I tend to get pretty bad ingrown hairs on my legs and my skin is easily irritated when shaving. This bar feels luxurious, and the banana leaf scent is really nice without being overpowering. I love that it foams up and feels like using a fancy bar soap, unlike many other exfoliators I've tried. It leaves my skin extra soft and helps me get a cleaner shave with less irritation. One tip: if you're getting the buffing bar, I'd invest in the dish as well. It's really well designed and seems to extend the life of the bar. I also tried the scented Theraplush hand treatment and it's the perfect remedy for dry hands. I've tried tons of different hand creams (Caudalie, Gold Bond, Neutrogena, etc.) and this one takes the cake! The dispenser is easy to use and I love how it looks on my nightstand. I'm getting one as a gift for my mom, it's the perfect way to elevate a daily routine!

I was so excited to see Soft Services on thingdrop- I had been wanting to try the buffing bar but was a little hesitant of the price tag. The unboxing was great- simple and w packaged. The buffing bar (blue) is much firmer feeling than a traditional bar of soap. Instructions say to use the buffing bar 1x /week/as needed, so I also got the ceramic soap dish to help it keep longer. It seems to be a quality, innovative product and I look forward to using it and hopefully experiencing its effectiveness!
