Reviews mention

  • Sleek, minimalist design
  • Compact, travel-friendly form
  • Timed, guided brushing pulses
  • Convenient refill subscription
  • Weak cleaning vibration
  • Fragile head connection
  • Hard-to-remove battery parts
  • Bristles wear or feel harsh

quip earns mixed reviews: it looks refined and travels well, but its brushing performance trails true electric rivals. Reviews praise quip’s sleek, lightweight design, mirror-mounted travel cover, timed 30‑second pulses, and hassle-free refill heads (often with batteries). Many criticize weak vibrations that act more as a timer than a cleaner, bristles that feel too stiff or wear quickly, fragile heads and motors, hard-to-remove parts, and occasional mold or gunk buildup—some dentists urge switching to oscillating or higher-powered brushes.

  • honestly, I don't know if this actually did anything for me, it just vibrates, it doesn't move in a way that would brush better, it is just a normal toothbrush that vibrates. although I guess in a sense it is half more sustainable than a regular toothbrush as the heads can be switched, but for the extra money, I don't think it is worth it.

  • 1. Does not work 2. Overpriced 3. No customer support if your order arrives with an already smashed-in-half product

  • I love that it’s an electric toothbrush that doesn’t need a charger, I also love that it has an app to connect to your phone, however, replacing the battery is not so easy. I followed the instructions, watched a video and still couldn’t figure it out. I had talked to customer service and sent a video of me following the instructions and being unable to replace it and they said it was an error and had to replace the entire toothbrush for me. This happened twice! My sister also had a quip (not the one with the app) and I was able to replace her batter just fine. I don’t know if it’s the model of toothbrush or if I just got unlucky. To be honest, I’ll just say it’s alright, nothing great.

  • Saw their product in the LES store in NYC years ago before their products becomes available. I got mine a few weeks ago and the experience has been underwhelming. I'd rather use regular toothbrush.

  • I really really wanted to like quip because I love the design but unfortunately the quality is not worth the price. The toothbrush is fine but the refillable floss, does not work, it breaks after flossing one tooth. IMO you're paying a premium for an esthetically pleasing product.

  • I have had Quip for YEARS now, and I did have a faulty brush for a whole that was impossible to get the head off. It was my first electric toothbrush and really set the standard to be honest. I have now been traveling for the last year and this is one thing I truly miss.

  • I really wanted to love these as the connivence is pretty amazing with automatic deliveries and the price was good too. Unfortunately they did not remove plaque very well and the bristles are straight and flat. Pros are very cool colors and the design is very sleek and modern

Flossing bristles and higher power options. It’s pretty much a vibrating toothbrush marketed to be in the league of electric toothbrushes.

  • terrible customer service, great idea.

    Feedback

The product failed a couple of times.. kept using it but. service was terrible to get ahold of and was not helpful.

  • I received the Quip as a gift and enjoyed it for travel but ultimately love my Phillips Sonicare more due to the pressure of the brush and the ease of getting new brush heads. Added bonus - the brush charge lasts 2 weeks! The quip is soft and gentle but I did not feel I was getting the same clean when traveling as to when I was home using my Sonicare. I accidentally left my Quip while traveling abroad and decided to invest in the smaller Sonicare that holds a charge up to 2 weeks. So far, I am way more satisfied with this toothbrush due to the firm brush with the soft head and the easy ability to order new heads at my leisure from Target / Amazon.

I was also not a fan of the customer support; in order for me to cancel my subscription of a fresh head and battery I had to email back and forth with customer service - there was not a button to "unsubscribe" or "cancel subscription" on the website.

  • the refillable flosser is a great idea, the floss occasionally breaks and had a learning curve but now super easy and more efficient than one use picks

  • Started with the toothbrush a few years back and love the additional products including floss, gum, and mouth wash. Definitely worth the money and recommend!

  • I really like that they have an alternative to single-use tooth picks that comes in a handy travel case. The auto refill subscription is also nice :)

  • I got their electric toothbrush and was incredibly disappointed. Apparently the vibration of the toothbrush is only meant to be used as a timer? Makes no sense to me why they thought this was a good product.

Rechargable, vibrations that help you clean your teeth and aren't just a timer.

  • Great toothbrush but a bit inconvenient to have to buy new heads so frequently.

  • This is my review specifically for the refillable floss pick. When I saw this product online, I knew I had to get it. The design alone had me intrigued, and I loved the idea of having a way to only use a bit of floss at a time but not be as wasteful as the typical disposable floss pick. I have already had this floss pick for months and I'm still on my original set of floss I was given. I love my cool little floss pick, and I don't know if I will ever go back to normal floss!

  • The toothbrushes look great and conserve space but they don't clean as well as a sonic toothbrush. I would definitely recommend a Quip for travel use or as a toothbrush to keep at the gym or office. But, as your regular toothbrush, you should probably go with a toothbrush with sonic cleaning capabilities.

The process to cancel your Quip account is convoluted and too time-intensive.

  • Don't get me wrong, the look is amazing and smooth. Like the product design itself is amazing and elegant but the quality of cleaning your teeth as an electric toothbrush isn't the greatest. They also have refillable floss, and that is not recommended because it is not strong. Mine keeps breaking apart and won't keep in tac.

Do something about the floss, it does not work. Also the floss has limited space where you can floss and everybody teeth are different.

  • The most convenient and effective toothbrush I have used! At home I use an Oral-B electric toothbrush, but at college the charging stand is a pain. This toothbrush gives you the effectiveness of an electric toothbrush without the hassle of having to charge it. I have not had it long enough to where the battery dies ... will see how I feel about it once that happens.

    Feedback

The brush speed/vibrations could be more prominent. I still find the brush to have a similar effect as a traditional electric toothbrush but it is probably a bit less intense.

  • In the beginning, I really enjoyed Quip, not having to buy toothbrushes because every three months, I would receive a new head! But after a while, Quip had started missing deliveries or deliveries would not make it in time, and my teeth have gotten sensitive to the hard bristles. I still purchase for my partner because he enjoys the experience, but he definitely is starting to notice it feels too hard on his teeth. Their customer support however has been super lovely, and I don't think I've ever experienced a hard time - they've always been quick to make changes to my missing deliveries.
