For Days is appreciated for its sustainable model, high-quality basics, and the unique Take Back Bag initiative. However, dissatisfaction arises from the company's pricing, inconsistent sizing, and poor customer service. Most notably, customers express frustration with the misleading nature of the Closet Cash system and question the company's authenticity in its recycling practices.
AI summary based on Thingtesting reviews
A resounding yes for everything For Days is doing! Excellent product quality (seriously, relative to COS, H&M, etc. these shirts last much longer). Great fit, not too tight but also not baggy. Lots of color options and multiple form factors. The light crew is the go-to tee in my wardrobe. But, the best part of For Days is knowing my clothing footprint is being minimized: - Sustainable product design ✌🏼 - Trade-in credit for when you're done with products 💸 - Take-me back bag to recycle old clothing ♻️ - Carbon-neutral shipping 🌍

Honestly, you guys are doing everything right. Maybe some artist collaborations/limited drops?
I really like For Days. I think their mission and business model is great, and their clothes are all high quality. I love their deal days, as I've snagged some really nice pieces for super cheap. I highly recommend browsing the site and waiting for the sale drops because things you've been eyeing out can come up and you can sometimes pay even way less than half the price it was originally. Everything is of great quality and I love every piece I've gotten from them.

BEWARE! I paid $60 to get three bags, I filled & returned them and was SUPPOSEDLY issued $160 to spend. However, I was taken on a ride to a place called "Trashie" where apparently, I could get gift cards to places that I shop (i.e. Target). Much to my dismay, every time I attempt to use my money, these cards are "Sold Out" and seem never to be available. What's also maddening is that they send emails all the time with links to sales on ForDays.com where I find crap items (check fabric content as it's often acrylic which I know generally pills the first time it's washed), or way over-priced ugliness. When you DO put something into the cart and try to use your cash, you see in small print: "Closet Cash not applicable to Take Out Bags". DO NOT give them any items believing you will be rewarded for helping save the world through recycling cloth through this bogus outfit. If you see a remark to this, my experience, apologizing & telling me to contact customer service, that'll be BS. A representative of ForDays.com texts me who has promised multiple times to get back to me, but DOESN'T (See 2 of many text photos "Hang tight!"). My next move is to contact my State Attorney General and file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB).

Love the concept. Clean out the closets without guilt! But, the follow through is terrible. I have purchased many bags to give as gifts to eco-conscious friends and family. I spent a lot of money. Wish I had tried it first. A couple of months ago I packed up my 1st 2 bags to send off. I followed the instructions to scan the QR code to print the return labels. No go- it just doesn’t work. Just get error messages. Contacted customer support and was assured a problem with the QR server was fixed, and they emailed me the labels. I was assured the people to whom I gifted the bags would have no trouble. Yet, here I am again. Now, the same issue. I am embarrassed to have recommended this to so many people, I do not understand why they do not print the labels and include them when they send the bags. Having customers do it is nothing but frustration. And, it assumes everyone has printers, which is not the case with many of the young people to whom I gifted the bags. What a mess! It seems like they are counting on a large percentage of the people purchasing the bags Not actually returning them filled, that way the company pockets the money and doesn’t have to pay the return postage. I am so disappointed.

Either have a system of sending the return labels with the bags or email the labels automatically to customers.

THIS IS A TOTAL SCAM! you can ONLY use $20 PER ORDER of you "cash" and you HAVE to spend the other $80 to avoid shipping fees. You are basically getting rid of you clothes to buy more from them ? This company is a total trash. Don't waste your money here and instead donate to your local homeless shelter.
I was a subscriber and big fan of the initial version of the For Days model (closed loop recycling of basics), but there have been a lot of changes to the business over the years, which, to me, has made the business less unique and interesting. Unfortunately, I think that the quality of the clothing has gone down a bit too. I can buy the odd t-shirt here and there from For Days, and recently even purchased a buy-back bag, but would no longer consider them as my go-to for basics.
I'm so-so on their clothing options- besides a ribbed jumpsuit that SAVED me during pregnancy. Was my most-worn item hands down. What I am a big fan of is their clothing recycling program and the Take Back Bag. They're always coming up with new and creative ways to encourage clothing recycling, and I love that now you can earn points and use it to purchase from other brands (and they're continuing to expand this). It's a great idea and move towards sustainability and I am on board for that!
I LOVE what For Days is doing in the sustainability space and I love the take back program. I've purchased several things from them, some of which I still own and some of which I sent back as part of their circularity program. The fabrics feel pretty quality.

I would shop here way more often if the clothing fit my body better and was more my style. I feel oftentimes like I'm trying to make a shoe fit that doesn't quite fit when I am shopping For Days... I want to give them my money and buy their stuff but it doesn't feel very of the moment and pretty expensive for what it is. (I completely understand why it's expensive-- if it were cheap or easy to be circular, every apparel brand would be-- but in order to invest a little more I need to be excited about what I'm buying and to actually want to wear it!)
I am in love with this brand’s sustainability, and ethical principles ❤️ Their closet, clean out bag and closet cash bag on every purchase gives monetary backing on their sustainability mission that I deeply appreciate. The clothes are mostly basic pieces and recently they’ve been coming out with more colors which I’ve enjoyed. But for the most part, I have substituted any basic piece in my closet with them. Their unisex line tends to run much larger so as a woman, I tend to size up at least two times..
I love that I can use the take-back bag credit to purchase new items made with care. Their clothing has interesting cuts that I am still figuring out whether or not it works for my body, but I enjoyed some of the clothing purchases I made with my take back bag credit.

Sizing could be clearer.
I think I found out about For Days via A Thing or Two HQ newsletter from Erica Cerulo and Claire Mazur. When I first started shopping there, it was mostly upcycled or circular eco staples like t-shirts and sweats. Now they've really expanded to include other, non-clothing brands, so I find it to be a GREAT place to learn about new brands. Their Take Back Bag is my favorite feature, because I constantly struggle with how to ethically dispose of old clothing. For $20, For Days will send you a TBB that you fill with WHATEVER (baby clothes, sheets, mens dress shirts, towels), basically any kind of textile in any condition. Once the bag is received, you get a $20 credit with them. However, the "Closet Cash" where the credit exists is separate and confusing. The quality of the in-house For Days brand is good, though I would say sizing runs a wee bit small.

I have their jumpsuit in green and am honestly really happy with it! I wish that it came in petite sizing because I am a little bit short so it is a little loose in some places, but I would definitely try more clothing from this brand! I like their sustainable model and would be interested in trying their clothing recycling program in the future too.
I've used For Days since the the company launch, when you could trade in worn out shirts for new shirts. I miss those days. First, basic review. These are straight forward shirts, sweats, pants, etc. Solid colors (mostly), no major style innovations. These are the basics you reach for when layering, when you don't want to put thought into an outfit, or just for relaxing days. The items are comfy and fairly durable. Somehow my cat has managed to claw holes into a few shirts, but mostly they hold up to an active lifestyle. The main reason I am giving this company a 4 instead of 5 is because of the switch in business model. I don't know if the original model wasn't sustainable or just didn't provide for enough growth, but I purchased from this company precisely because I liked the circular model. The path of reuse was very clear. Buy a shirt from For Day --> wear it until you want to return it --> send it back and get a different item instead. You knew how the worn items were being reused, you knew you were trading in value and that things were theoretically circling within the company production line. Now its all more generic. You can buy shirts or whatever. If you want to send them fabric for recycling, you have to buy a special bag from them and the items might lead to company credit. It all feels much less innovative or eco-conscious.

love the company mission and really, really great quality clothes i own a number of shirts from their company and all are on steady rotation great place to shop for basics, with fun statement piece options! the closet cash is also so fun and they have sizeable sales agree with Lyssa A.'s review that there should be more consistent sizing, but it also depends on the intended fit of the clothing item. Currently, there is a "Fit" section but usually says "true to size" or the like. Would be helpful to perhaps add to the "fit" section on the product pages with sizing recommendations (ex. "size up for a slouchier fit")

I have been a For Days customer for years (pun intended!) - I first found them back in 2018 or so? Over the years, I've tried numerous of their items. I will say: When it's good, they are GREAT. I own multiple closet staples from them that I've worn for years and that are my absolute favourite items. There are others that I have ordered and had to return because they looked dreadfully unflattering on me. I love the idea of the take-back bag but have never actually gotten around to doing it - so I can't comment on that part. I love their sales and especially the "surprise bags" - I have ordered multiple over the years and gotten some fun items that I would never have purchased on my own, but ended up loving and wearing a lot. However, the surprise bags sometimes have repeat items which is a little frustrating - I don't need TWO bright pink jogging pants, or 3 of the very same T-Shirt. Totally get that they are trying to not waste their surplus and rather have it worn than thrown out, but this somewhat backfires when I then either have to send it back or try to pass it on. I also have mixed feelings of the other brands they've incorporated into their sales - originally it was just their own brand, and while I like the shoutout to other sustainable brands, it somehow feels like a mish mash of random upsells now, plus they don't control the shipping which has let to some orders sent by third parties that took forever or were difficult to return etc.
I've been using For Days for a while now and I'm a huge fan of the take back bag, I've purchased three and it is such a good option when it comes to recycling clothing that cant be donated. My only issue is with the cost of their products, even with the "closet cash" I have there is not much I can buy as everything is overpriced.

Own a couple of shirts from For Days. Like the cut and fit. One of the shirts had a small hole, which they'd offered to replace. Opted to keep it since returning/exchanging seemed counter to the mission and goal of the company.
I have not bought clothes from For Days yet, but have purchased the Take Back Bag from them to sustainably dispose of clothes that I could not donate, as they were torn or damaged in some other way. That experience has been great. The bag is HUGE, so you can fit a lot of stuff inside (I managed to fit a lot of clothes and even a whole blanket into it). It's great for torn jeans, lonely socks, and anything else like that. Once you send the bag back, they recycle the fabric and you get the $20 you spent on the bag back in "Closet Cash" that you can use on their website. To For Days credit, they are constantly coming out with new kinds of clothing, so it becomes a more and more appealing place to shop for basics over time. The only downside to their bag is that they don't take undergarments, but this may be something they're working on.
I love their essential lines that are HIGH in quality. Their basic white and black t-shirts last way longer and look much better than any other brand's t-shirts. I love how they're expanding on creating new products with different sustainable materials.
Long term (years) customer of For Days, and love the idea/concept. Don't always love the fit and fabrics, they're very inconsistent. That said, when I do find a fabric or fit I like, it's so easy and convenient to get several colors and trade them in and out, which is nice.

More consistent sizing - I've worn everything from small to large in tees and dresses, which because of the return model is fine but frustrating.
