  • I've been a customer here for years and, like a couple other reviews, I dislike some of the changes they've made to their business model. I do understand why, but the circular model where you could exchange a used garment for a new one at a discount was incredible. My main issue with them is that recently the materials of some of the pieces I wanted to repurchase have changed, but only in certain colors. I love the organic cotton they use and its much obviously softer than recycled material (again, understandable! but I wish they would have a 100% organic cotton version of some of their basics. Maybe not as sustainable but the difference is honestly shocking. It doesn't fall quite the same, doesn't act quite the same). I do think what they're doing now, in becoming a marketplace for other sustainable brands is cool! and I did use their recycling program at one point, which I think is also incredible. (for those of you wanting a brand that recycles underwear and socks, look at Knickey).

  • Love the take back bag where you can send clothes back. Products are pretty good. I either dislike it completely bc it fits weird or I’m obsessed and I wear it nonstop. Fits can be awkward but they also have some good products. Like that I can send it back when I’m done with it and trade it in for something else.

    Fits are odd

  • The take back bags allow you to get rid of old clothing, regardless of the condition, and know that it will be recycled instead of ending up in a land fill. Additionally, the clothing that they make and sell are of high quality and on point with trends.

Shipping takes forever so be prepared to wait for your items.

  • THIS IS A TOTAL SCAM! you can ONLY use $20 PER ORDER of you "cash" and you HAVE to spend the other $80 to avoid shipping fees. You are basically getting rid of you clothes to buy more from them ? This company is a total trash. Don't waste your money here and instead donate to your local homeless shelter.

  • WHAT A LAME COMPANY. Guilty of green washing. Their take back bag system is choppy, countless issues, like the labels they provide not working at the post office, and no shipping on the bags you sent back. Their customer service is beyond terrible. They continuously make updates to their “closet cash”. Now, you are only able to use $20 at a time. When I first started, you could use as much closet cash as you had available. Products are overpriced, and very minimal descriptions on clothing. Some don’t even have materials, most don’t have any type of size chart. PLEASE. Stay far away from this company. Much better options out there.

  • DO NOT BUY!! For Days promotes itself as circular but really it is just a scam. You pay for a take back bag and then when you send it back in you get $20 credit however you can only use $20 of your closet cash and shipping is $9 unless you buy $100 worth of items. Everything is expensive, completely scam. Do not fall for it! I have so much money in closet cash that I can't even afford to use to buy anything on there.

  • I started using For Days Take Back Bags in 2022 or 2023 when I saw a few other sewing Instagram users promote the bags for recycling scrap fabric. As a ballet costume maker I constantly have unusable scraps of fabric that would go into the trash and I loved the idea of this being recycled. I filled several bags fairly quickly and used my closet cash to buy a few items I was happy with (no $20 cap?). When I had sent in a few more and was ready to use closet cash again, I kept having trouble with For Days recognizing the cash at checkout. It was give me a little tab saying how much I had earned, but when I would check out it would disappear. This was about when they were transitioning to Trashie so I just figured I would bide my time a little longer until those kinks were worked out and I was in the middle of my busy season anyway with more bags to send their way. I just tried to use my over $700 in closet cash (they upped the return to $50 closet cash versus the $20 for $20 it started as) and now have found out about the $20 cap (but saw a post where they lifted it for a month and of course I missed it). I also just realized with the Trashie transition in fine print that they only want clothes & linens or if you want to get a special fabric bag you can send that, but it has to only be 100% cotton which is great for quilters, but not virtually anyone else that sews. I have since seen so many comments, reviews, and posts about how this company is basically a scam, they don’t actually recycle the clothes/fabric, and have so many issues. I’m just really frustrated and feel like I was duped by social media marketing that was too good to be true. Meanwhile I have SIX more bags of fabric scraps labeled and ready to be taken to the post office sitting in my entryway. Thumbs down.

  • This company is very distrustful and I will never buy from them again. I tried to return an item and they ignored me for a month and half. I also placed an order over two months ago that I still haven't received and customer service has once again been ignoring me. It's truly a gamble to buy from this company. If you're not paying attention they will scam you silly.

  • Such a scam. I really loved the idea of the take back bag, but unless you want $20 off a $300 cardigan, the points are useless. They falsely advertise that you can exchange for gift cards, but when you go to do it all the ones they advertise are somehow sold out. They have a $35 and under shopping section, but if you price check with the manufacturer site, their prices are super marked up and the shipping is ridiculous. After the mark up and the $9 shipping you’re paying the same as if you had just ordered it normally. I emailed them and haven’t gotten a response. I’m considering going to a class action lawyer at this point.

  • I first tried For Days about 6 months ago, bought a few take back bags, bought something with the initial sign up discount. I've bought and sent back probably 8 or 9 bags at this point. I echo the experience of the folks who've rated in the past 2 months, the whole bait-and-switch regarding the Closet Cash was really disappointing. When I wrote in to express my frustration, For Days agreed to put my Closet Cash onto a single gift card so that I could utilize it all at once, instead of the $20 per transaction limit. I used the entire gift card all at once and was about to wash my hands of them. However, I have not received the items I purchased, nor have I received any emails with shipping or tracking information, and I've reached out to them three times in the past week to inquire about the status of my order with no response whatsoever. I query whether this business is viable and whether they are acting in good faith.

  • Other reviews mention recent changes, but just wanted to echo that For Days recently changed Take Back Bags so that you can spend a MAXIMUM of $20 in closet cash per order. Shipping is about $10 unless you spend $100 for free shipping. So you are no longer buying store credit essentially with the TBB. I purchased and redeemed by TBB before the change went into effect, but was waiting until holiday time to use it and now it's functionally useless. There was no notice given of the change. It's now essentially $10 off your purchase or $20 a purchase of $100 or more. Except I already spent the $20 expecting to be able to use it on anything. I also went to their new site "trashie" and it allows you to spend on fast fashion brands that don't even use sustainable practices. Just a total scam. Also worth noting, there are 2 glassdoor reviews from former employees that say no actual recycling is going on at this company. Annoyed I wasted $60 for credits I can't use and my clothes to probably wind up in a landfill anyway when I could have brought them to a local fabric recycling place for free.

  • This company is a scam. I was excited to find out about this recycling program for clothing because I had a lot of clothes that were still in excellent condition, and didn't want to throw them away or donate them to have them dumped somewhere else. The take back program sounded really nice, so I ordered a total of 13 bags, sent them back to accumulate credits. Once I accumulated enough credits, I was ready to make my purchase which was over $200, but when I was getting ready to checkout on Fordays.com, I found out that I can only use $20 credit per order and pay $10 in shipping costs. Well there's nothing descent on this website for $20, and you have to pay $10 in shipping so you end up spending double the money for recycled garbage. When I started sending my bags back, I didn't recall seeing this in the "how to use the closet cash" which it must have changed without informing customers, which is bad business from this company. So, now I'm stuck with an over $286 credit, can't use it on what I would really like to buy. I will never use this company program again or possibly may never use the over $286 credit which will be just lost money for me and sitting as a credit forever with this company. I usually do a thorough job of vetting companies like this, but this one slipped through my analytical process. Please do not use this company for this recycling program. You are better off taking it Goodwill, posting on Buy Nothing Group on Facebook, dumping it in a trash bag to be sent to the landfills, or a garage sale. So much for helping save the planet. Very false advertisement on this company. Perhaps if enough customers in my situation get together, it may be grounds for a claim lawsuit on false advertisement. Bottom line is don't use this company.

  • Comfortable and high quality basics. I am a big fan of their Take Back Bag (although credit sometimes takes a long time to post). I like the marketplace they have created and the peace of mind of buying sustainably. Purchased several For Days branded items. Sizing varied a bit, but all items were a good thickness (and overall ran a bit small). Very comfortable overall.

  • I've been a For Days customer since 2020, and I've been a big fan of their Take Back bags. However, there have been some negative changes over the last few years. One of my favorite features, the ability to "trade in" clothing items for $5 in "Closet Cash," has been discontinued, which is disappointing. I've experienced frequent issues logging into my Closet Cash account and encountered connectivity problems between the main site and the Closet Cash site. The quality of their products, such as tees, pajamas, shorts, and sweats, has been inconsistent. Some items impress, while others fall short. Lastly, the minimum order requirement for free shipping has increased from $60 to $100 which is frustrating.

  • I love that For Days wants to end fashion waste, but their website is an actual disaster. You can't look up your order history, you get infrequent email updates, items are shipped separately and sometimes not at all, closet cash (their rewards program) is a separate site and is difficult to apply at checkout. They used to reply to emails quickly, but response time gets longer everytime I have to ask what happened to my order. You never know when an order is going to ship or arrive. Their clothes are great, but really not worth the hassle. Buy at your own risk.

  • I really wanted to love this company, unfortunately I ran into so many technical issues that it made me regret buying the first bag. 1) tried to register the bag “we are having technical difficulties please try again later.” 2) finally registered it 3) washed clothes to put into the bag, went to the post office, waited 20 minutes on line, and was told they could not process it I had to call the company. 4) emailed and waited and waited and received a response with a shipping label, an apology and and a promise of a $20 credit. Great! All is forgiven 5) tried to login to use my credits. Should be $40 right ? My bag plus the “sorry” credit right ? I needed to reset my password I got another convoluted technical error message. 6) emailed help@fordays again and waited and waited and was sent a link for a new account??? I asked where my $40 was? 7) Response, you only have $20.00 did you purchase another bag? 8) sent another explanation email, still waiting for a response. -thus this review. I like the concept and I am glad it seems to be working for others but I just don’t have the time ti keep babysitting all the technology glitches.

  • I ordered two XL rompers, and then after confirming the order they cancelled one of the rompers (refunded that at least), and the other they shipped me an XS, and because it was on sale they are so far refusing to replace it with the correct size, so now I'm stuck with a garment that I absolutely cannot wear!! very frustrated and disappointed.

  • At first I bought one of their take back bags because I didn't want my old clothes and fabrics to end up in the trash. I didn't realize that you can get cash back for every bag you send back. I think that is a really good perk! The bag is $20 but you get that back for shopping on their site. It is a bit pricey for items but from other reviews I read the quality is really great and lasts a while. I used my trade in cash for some items in the sale section. I ended up paying way less than what the item was sold for. I think the clothes are great because they are generally really simple which makes them easy to add to.
