Love their products, especially since you can get them at very discounted prices nowadays. Their backpacks fit SO MUCH STUFF. You will be surprised at how useful these bags are for traveling. I just bought one of their portable cosmetic carriers that has a little hanger so you can just hang it in the bathroom when you're traveling and can't wait to use it! Some of their designs could be considered "dated," as another reviewer put it, but I think it's the kind of place where everyone can find something they like, and they sell all of their products in solid colors as well.

I bought their Glow Facial Oil at their store in St. Louis, MO. It's absolutely gorgeous. The glow it gives is VISIBLE due to almond oil and Vitamin E and it really helps to elevate the skincare experience. Great to use in the winter when skin is dull and dry. I mix it in with my moisturizer or just apply to my face after cleansing.

You guys - this is AMAZING. I was going through a weird phase with my skin where none of my normal skincare fixes were working and then I got this product in the mail. First time using it, I actually noticed a brighter complexion after cleansing. I decided to put all my faith into this product and use it as my only cleanser. It WORKED. This product got me through my oily summer skin to my dry fall/winter skin. My skin loves this product. I love the subtle rose smell (I've used a scented Native cleanser before and HATED how strong the smell was) and the experience of scrubbing was great. It is pretty effective at removing makeup, but I do still use makeup wipes in addition to remove heavier eye makeup. I love the consistency, it feels great on my sensitive skin, and doesn't make my skin feel tight or weird after cleansing. Also, loved the packaging and bottle is travel friendly with no spout.

    Remi

I was pleasantly surprised by Remi. I received prompt feedback from them in February of this year as I was doing my impressions and the quality is great. I like that they provide two guards in every order. They haven't lasted AS long as I thought they would, but they are relatively affordable on the subscription plan, and I'm willing to overlook how long they last considering a night guard is essential for me. I like that the branding is fresh and filled with young people - it made me feel better about being a young person that grinds their teeth. I do wish you didn't have to buy a whole line of products just to keep your guards clean, but I do like that their guard cleaner is also a teeth whitener. I haven't tried that product yet but will soon. UPDATE: I cancelled my subscription 🤪 Apparently Remi moved to a new manufacturing site (?) so it started taking FOREVER to get my night guards delivered. It also seemed like they charged me twice the agreed amount at one point. My payment method expired during the course of my subscription (which I was aware of, but just busy so wasn't able to update it immediately) and I got sent MULTIPLE emails until they just started calling me every day. Oh! Also, even though they had my impressions, which worked perfectly the first time, one guard in my second set just didn't fit and when I emailed them about it, it turned into this back and forth where they asked me to send them a VIDEO of me using the guards (???), at which point I gave up and just cancelled. There are others out there. I'm disappointed but the subscription system was very inconsistent and to be honest, they were very pushy over the phone about my payment method and it really put me off, especially with the weird charge in my account that was never addressed.

    Feedback

I was hesitant at first to try Remi because I wasn't sure if it was legit, but it is. I've had a good experience with this brand and won't stop purchasing from them anytime soon, most likely. UPDATE: I would try another one until they get their business together. Also, it's really hard to cancel your subscription. You have to EMAIL at least two people. Not ideal.

I was really excited about this product since I recently got into exfoliation. However, this product was a major let-down, even for the price I purchased it at (I got it as a Thingdrop). The canvas mitt is nice and seems better for the planet than other exfoliating mitts, but the actual "body polish" really doesn't work at all. I waited until now to review because I was sure I was just doing it wrong, but now I know the reason no body polish comes off on the mitt when you rub it is because the polish hardens VERY quickly. It develops a hard outer coating when in contact with water, so nothing will come off unless you use your fingernails to literally scrape the coating off and then IMMEDIATELY rub it on your mitt. At least with exfoliating scrubs you get from the store, you feel like there's something happening and there is both a visible and tactile smoothness after.

    Feedback

The formula for the body polish needs to be improved. Not sure if I am willing to try this brand again unless reviews improve considerably.

    Sale or special offer

I had probably the worst experience I've ever had with a brand when I ordered from Pat McGrath. Around Black Friday this past year, there was a $12 lip product sale and I knew it was my chance to try this luxury makeup brand that I had had my eye on for a while. I placed my order for two lip glosses and one lipstick, and even told my friends about the sale right after because I was so enthused about the products. I received an order confirmation email. I had ordered the lip products to my parent's home, since I currently live in a city where porch pirating is a big issue and I knew I would be returning there for the holidays. I never received a shipping confirmation. This means I NEVER had the ability to track my order, which was crucial for me since I needed to know when it was arriving so I could notify my parents. I believed the package hadn't been shipped yet and I started getting worried. Then my friend, who ordered the same lip glosses I did AFTER I ordered them, received her lip glosses. I still had received no word. Then I received an email saying I was getting a refund for the lipstick I had ordered. I was upset, but made peace with it since the items I wanted the most were the glosses. I reached out to Pat McGrath via email about the status of my order, received an auto-generated reply, and then never received an email with an actual response from a real person. I got home and my parents told me the products had arrived. Again, I had no way of knowing the products had been delivered since I NEVER received a shipping confirmation with a tracking number, and I NEVER received an email confirming delivery. To make matters worse, when I opened the package, I found one lip gloss and one lipstick. So I received notice of a lipstick being refunded but was instead shorted a gloss, one of the products I wanted the most. After this whole annoying experience, I sent Pat McGrath another email (they don't have a phone number listed on their website) detailing my entire horrid shopping process because I expected more from a luxury makeup brand. I received another auto-generated reply saying they were busy and would get back to me, and they never did.

    Feedback

I will probably never buy from Pat McGrath again. I will especially never buy from Pat McGrath again online. After reaching out to them multiple times and never hearing back, and also not being able to find a single phone number on their website to contact them, I concluded this brand just doesn't give a damn about their customers. The sad thing is that the products are high quality, but I don't want to purchase anything from a brand that seems to be not only very unorganized, but also lacking in any customer service at all.

There's obviously no partial rating option, but I think I would actually give Gorgie a 3.5 out of 5. My experience with Gorgie was truly an experience, beginning with the packaging, which was incredibly fun to open. However, I have to agree with other reviewers who note how unsustainable the packaging is. I definitely think there should be an option at checkout for limited packaging, especially for repeat customers. The cans themselves were a little dented at the top from shipping but nothing too crazy. The first flavor I tried was the mixed berry, which was unfortunately my least favorite. Definitely had a pretty artificial flavor and wasn't an enjoyable experience for me. It also had a weird smell, in my opinion. On the other hand, the watermelon and peach flavors were fantastic. I absolutely loved how refreshing the watermelon one was and was pleasantly surprised by how light the peach flavor was in the peachy keen can. I noticed that I felt more focused after drinking one of these and a little more awake. I love green tea as well so I enjoyed this hint of flavor. I noticed other reviews that talked about lack of diversity in branding and on the can itself. I do think the tweet-style format of the nutrients in the drink is a little weird, especially because the pictures of random women end up becoming blurry and non-distinguishable. The cans would have a cleaner look if the nutrients were just listed with their benefits instead of pictures of random women and girlboss-sounding phrases.

    Feedback

On the whole, this drink is pretty expensive at $38 for 12 cans. If I were not a student on a budget, I may purchase the 12 pack of watermelon just because I did like the convenience of grabbing one of these from the fridge for a quick burst of non-jittery caffeine. Packaging needs to be improved in terms of sustainability.

The Ordinary is a great brand with a mission to offer skincare at an affordable price for everyone. I really resonate with this mission. The first product I bought from them was the lactic acid chemical exfoliant, which worked well the first few months I had it. I am open to trying many more products from their brand, but in my experience, not everything they offer is very effective.

    Feedback

I would do some research before you order from the Ordinary so you know what's worth it and exactly what products have worked for other people with your skin type. On the other hand, most everything is inexpensive, so it won't be too much of a dent in your wallet if you decide to try something without looking it up first.

My first experience with Muji was in their store in Copenhagen, and I was absolutely floored. The shop is an experience to walk through. It's peaceful, comprehensive, and everything has such a specific basic aesthetic. Every product I've bought from Muji has held up well. They have the BEST socks I've ever bought, plus plain, straight-leg black pants that I wear every chance I get. My boyfriend bought a cute and unique tea set from there as well. I've wanted to go back ever since 🥲

I've never tried online shopping on their website. I would really recommend going in store if you can though.

Rare Beauty has increased their prices lately. However, everything is still pretty affordable. The eyeliner is the BEST eyeliner I've ever used, and I wear eyeliner practically every day, so I've tried all kinds of brands. The applicator for the eyeliner is also amazing. I loved it so much I literally gave it to my mom the next day because I knew she would benefit from how easy the application is. I've tried the blush in the shade "Lucky," which is a bright pink. It's a LOVELY summery tone, but you have to be SO careful not to use too much. Definitely takes some trial and error to find the right balance for your skin tone and type. I also have the 4 in 1 mist and the beauty blender. The beauty blender is good. The mist is GREAT. The first time I used it, I noticed an instant brighter look. There is niacinamide in the spray and other good stuff, so I actually do think it is a beneficial spray for your skin. I use it before makeup, after makeup, and throughout the day. I wish the bottle was bigger because it does run out pretty quick. Haven't tried the concealers and foundations, although I've heard good things. The unboxing experience is great. The note from Selena was so sweet!

I recommend this brand wholeheartedly, and I don't think you can go really wrong with anything on the website. Truly one of the the only celebrity makeup brands I actually think are worth it.
