Experiment earns strong reviews for delivering deep, lasting hydration—Super Saturated soothes sensitive, eczema‑prone skin and pairs well with tretinoin, while Buffer Jelly seals moisture without heavy grease—yet the brand isn’t universally perfect. Users cite sticky/tacky textures, small or hard‑to‑dispense packaging, occasional breakouts or residue, and fit/storage quirks with the Avant Guard reusable mask.

I have tried Super Saturated and Softwear (new lip balm product). I am so-so on the super saturated- I feel as if it's broken me out slightly. And not seeing major benefits. So this review is mostly for Softwear, which I am in LOVE with. I have been trying all the different lip balms out there. My issue is that my lips get kind of flaky, which doesn't look great when I want to wear color on my lips. I exfoliate every so often, I reapply my other lip balms, but they continue to be that way. What I like about Softwear is that there is an exfoliant built into it. I apply in the morning and hours later, there is no dry skin, no cracking, and really no need to apply much more. I'm a fan!
I have been using the buffer jelly every night for almost two weeks now and I really love it. It really seems to lock in moisture and my normally dehydrated, dry skin seems way more hydrated when I wake up. The product isn’t anywhere near as thick or sticky as Vaseline, aquaphor or other occlusive products typically used for slugging so it doesn’t leave any product residue on my pillow as long as I let it soak in for a few minutes before bed. Overall the product is really great and my only complaint is the bottle design itself. Sometimes I find it difficult to get it out and other times wayyyy too much comes out at once and I have to waste some.

It works great, and it makes me feel like an alien! I LOVE that it hooks around the back of your ears, makes it easy to wear while you're getting ready, and it doesn't fall off if you have facial hair as other face masks do.

The name is really bad but the product it’self is good
I recently bought the buffer jelly. It seems to help my skin lock in moisture and help it not look so dry.

The buffer jelly is like a more liquid form of Aquaphor, the bottle is tiny and hard to get the product out. I think the price is too high for what it is.

Who picked the bottle for super saturated?? Terrible design. Messy messy! Hard to pour an accurate ammount & gets all over the bottle. Would be much better in a pump or in the bottle they used for buffer. Buffer is ok. Does what it says. Much better value than I expected. It’s been lasting me forever
*i have combo skin and prioritize reducing blackheads + acne i use this when my skin feels particularly dry and i'd continue using this product mostly in the winter because it still leaves that sticky/greasy residue that anyone with oily skin gets worried about. the nozzle is a bit too big to squeeze out a very small amount, so it's less pillow-friendly than i'd like it to be. LOVE the branding and the squeezy bottle because of my long nails and ugh, the colors are perfection. just not for my skin type!

I love the avant guard mask - i use it almost every day to get my skin saturated. The serum is an added plus! I'd highly recommend it and thinking of buying this as gifts for the next time! :)
I have had the Avant Guard face mask for a while but what really blew me away is the Super Saturated serum. I have really sensitive skin (periorial dermatitis prone!) so I really limit the volume of serums and skincare products I use, really just sticking to the bare minimum. I was nervous about adding this in but now it's actually become the staple for me. It's sticky but it dries down into a really grippy finish that makes it feel like my moisturizer is going even farther. I use it morning and night!
It's great! The mask is super thin and well designed, easy to put on and stays on. Comfortable to wear. I'm petite and got a size small and the mask fit perfectly.

I wore this on top of a sheet mask and it was great except for the leaks that were running down my neck -- the mask already has a space for the chin but I recommend extending it to catch the serum!
I'm a certified skincare girly and I also wear glasses so this reusable mask is a godsend for me! I really do feel like I get the most of all my skincare products when I use this mask. As someone with dry skin, I'm always worrying about transepidermal water loss so this mask makes me feel so secure. I also like to put this on top of sheetmasks when I do them at night because they keep my glasses on my nose

This is something that I never knew that I needed! I have bone-dry skin and live in a bone-dry climate during the winter . I didn't realize how much my product was going unused ! Total game-changer.

The feeling of a face mask is something that I just need to get used to. I also wish it told me just how to disinfect it without risking the integrity of the product but I just take my bets shot with Dawn.

I’ve been having skin barrier issues (annd rosacea to keep at bay) and I ordered the Buffer Jelly. I use it at night as a final step to my routine, after moisturizer. Been using it for 4 weeks now and I wanna say it’s working great! It’s oily but not too heavy. You get a shiny glow when you first apply it, but if you run your hands over it a second time, it seems to lessen the shine or absorbs in. Also love that it’s a small bottle, which is good for travel. Just beware that it’s pretty long lasting overnight, so for side sleepers: watch out for it rubbing off onto your pillow! It’s now a new addition to my nighttime routine, so I’ll def be purchasing again.

Though I am not one to spend a ton of money on sheet masks (I'm a $1/sheet at H-Mart kind of girl), I was thrilled to see this as a Thingdrop and immediately bought. I'm still trying to match it with the right product/serum, but every one I've tried (mostly gel-based, thinner type masks like the Glow Recipe sleep mask) and it is LUXE. My skin feels so bouncy and plump afterward.

This is dumb, but more colors!
I love Experiment Beauty! It's a beauty brand that is focused on creating innovative and effective products using the latest science. Experiment Beauty's products are also cruelty-free and vegan. I've tried a few of Experiment Beauty's products, and I've been really impressed with all of them. My favorite product is the Super Saturated Barrier Support Concentrate. It's a lightweight serum that helps to hydrate and strengthen the skin barrier. I've noticed that my skin is much less dry and irritated since I started using it. Another product that I love is the Buffer Jelly. It's a barrier-boosting oil-gel that helps to lock in moisture and protect the skin from environmental damage. I use it as the last step in my nighttime skincare routine, and I wake up with glowing skin every morning. Overall, I highly recommend Experiment Beauty to anyone who is looking for effective and innovative skincare products. Experiment Beauty's products are also cruelty-free and vegan, which is a big plus for me. Here are some of the pros and cons of Experiment Beauty: Pros: Innovative and effective products Cruelty-free and vegan Products are well-formulated and high-quality Cons: Products can be a bit expensive Overall, the pros of Experiment Beauty far outweigh the cons. It's a great brand for people who are looking for effective and innovative skincare products. I highly recommend it!

I got the buffer jelly from a Thingdrop and have really enjoyed adding this product to my skincare routine. I have unfortunately broken down my skin barrier pretty significantly due to years of harsh acne fighting products and this Experiment product felt like a much needed surge of moisture. I only wish the bottle was a little larger!

I purchased the buffer jelly through ThingDrop. It’s somewhere between a gel and an oil and makes for a good last step for skin care. Although I think the product has potential, I typically slug at night so this wasn’t really thick enough for that, but I felt it was too thick for my morning application. The bottle was great for travel size and I overall enjoy the product. I would be interested to try other items from this line
