CeraVe earns strong reviews as a dermatologist-recommended staple that works—especially for sensitive, dry, and acne‑prone skin—thanks to gentle, fragrance-free cleansers and moisturizers that layer well under makeup and visibly hydrate and calm irritation. Weaknesses surface around texture and feel (some creams heavy or filmy, occasional greasiness or insufficient moisture), hit‑or‑miss results for certain skin types, mixed experiences with SPF formulas and actives causing irritation, and concerns about cruelty‑free status and select ingredients.

CeraVe has been my go-to for sensitive skin for many years. There is a reason dermatologists love this brand. Even better because it's easy to find in stores and the quality is consistently good.
I love all Sarah products. They are my go to! The price is right, and I haven’t found any products that I enjoy using more! High quality, reasonable price.
The SA Cleanser is my most used face wash. It doesn't dry out my sensitive skin or aggravate it. I have repurchased several times.
Their face cream is on par with high end brands, its rich, moisturizing, cost effective, and doesn't irritate my skin. I got a facial and the esthetician raved about this too! Legitimately great for face or body, unisex, no smell.
My go to drugstore brand. Their gentle cleanser has always worked wonders for my skin, no matter the issue. I always worry about cleansers over drying my skin but I’ve never had an issue with this.
Its not fancy , but this is probably the most consistent quality brands out there. I have never not finished a Cerave product. Super affordable, not super scented and never have had irriation. My faves are the basic body lotion, the hand and foot cream, the under-eye cream, the daytime moisturizer, and the hyaluronic acid serum. I have tried so many wildly expensive serums that roll off my skin, this one stays put and hydrates all day. Highly recommend.
I've tried the Renewing SA cleanser. I think it was a little too rough as a daily wash for my sensitive combination skin.
I can’t say enough great things about this brand. This moisturizer should be in every bathroom in every home. Go full body after your next shower, you won’t regret it!
Does the trick -I love the PM lotion and use it frequently. Roommates love CeraVe and swear by it too.
Learned about CeraVe when my son was diagnosed with eczema (20+ years ago). It was hard to find but worked to ease his flare ups. We all started using it and while not the sexiest looking brand, it really works, unscented and reasonably priced. Over the years it has been prescribed by every dermatologist I’ve been to.
CeraVe is the only moisturizer I’ve tried that doesn’t break me out. My skin absorbs it quickly after getting out of the shower and it helps me maintain my moisture barrier. I am religious about this product! It cannot be beat with the price point.
I have tried just about every high priced face wash you can find at Sephora and nothing has worked better than going back to the basics with my CeraVe drug store brand, sensitive skin facial cleanser. My dermatologist agrees. These ingredients are tried and true, don't give you breakouts and don't break the bank. A huge fan,
My dermatologist recommended. I use all their products.
There's a reason dermatologist's recommend CeraVe. While not all the products are created equal, and it may not be luxury skincare, each product does exactly what it says it's going to do - with basic ingredients that are genuinely good for your skin. The hydrating cleanser is a go-to for me, especially if I'm in a pinch and need to quickly purchase cleanser. Doesn't disappoint!

I have not been disappointed in their SPFs, moisturizers, or cleansers. Love that they are accessible and affordable. They have been recommended by any dermatologist I've visited as well. I do find myself reaching for other brands more regularly though.
The products tend to be carefully thought through and address skincare concerns without BS. The chemical sunscreen is the only reason I give fewer stars because the filters they use are known to be bad for the body, even if they protect the skin, and I've never been blown away by the result. I've tried multiple from the facial cleanser line, and the moisturising cream.
A really great all round skincare range, especially for sensitive skin and for people with other sensory issues i.e. smell, because it is unscented.

I swear by CeraVe moisturizers and face wash. It's what my dermatologist has recommended, and it's what has become my tried and true! The products are great for sensitive skin, and while it's not the most luxurious or cutest packaging, it gets the job done!
I’ve tried several products from CeraVe and I’ve loved all of them. I use the normal to dry foaming face wash everyday as well as their daily moisturize lotion. I have also tried their eye cream and their sunscreen. I love that is on the affordable size of skincare.
It’s really just okay; I don’t know what’s so special about it
