CeraVe earns strong reviews as a dermatologist-recommended staple that works—especially for sensitive, dry, and acne‑prone skin—thanks to gentle, fragrance-free cleansers and moisturizers that layer well under makeup and visibly hydrate and calm irritation. Weaknesses surface around texture and feel (some creams heavy or filmy, occasional greasiness or insufficient moisture), hit‑or‑miss results for certain skin types, mixed experiences with SPF formulas and actives causing irritation, and concerns about cruelty‑free status and select ingredients.

✨🧴🧼 CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser 🧼🧴✨ This cleanser has an awful texture my god, it feels like rubbing straight up lotion on my skin. It leaves an artificial film on my face also. ✨🧼🫧 CeraVe Foaming Facial Cleanser 🫧🧼✨ Despite having dry skin I much preferred this cleanser to their others. It has a nice plump, jelly texture and foams only slightly. My face felt clean yet not stripped. ✨❤️🩹 CeraVe Healing Ointment ❤️🩹✨ It's petroleum jelly formulated to have a thinner lightweight texture, overpriced for what it is. ✨🧴🦵🏾💦 CeraVe Moisturizing Cream 💦🦵🏾🧴✨ I think I would gaslight myself into thinking this cream was more effectual than it actually is. The texture is horrible matte finish, and it just sits on top of my skin without actually moisturizing it.
Affordable skincare that works. I know my body can be prone to stretch marks so I've been using their Daily Moisturizing lotion to prevent stretch marks on my tummy in my 3rd trimester and it's been good so far. I like this better than some of the vitamin E oils available out there as the lotion is more versatile and feels less oily after application. This lotion is also great for those with more sensitive noses as it's scent-free.
I use multiple Cerave products and they just work. They don't irritate my skin. They don't smell like anything in a good way. They are affordable. They're also easy to find in stores.
I ignored that brand for way too long bc it just doesn’t look that appealing. But it is amazingly well formulated. My skin usually reacts but doesn’t. Won’t dry out my sensitive skin. And it’s affordable. True love brand.
My tried and true face wash since well... forever! Love this stuff, it truly keeps my acne away and keeps my face looking bright and hydrated. I recommend the light blue bottle if you have oily skin.
The Acne Control Foaming Facial Cleanser with 2% Salicylic Acid was recommended to me by my dermatologist years & years ago (lifelong oily-acne-prone skin!) & I haven't switched since!! This facial cleanser does the best job at balancing cleaning and removing oils while also not stripping my face completely dry - i.e. it doesn't leave my skin so dry that it's tight and shiny after I wash! Additionally, I find that it's great at removing both everyday oil buildup and also makeup (mascara doesn't stand a chance). Lastly, this is such a great cleanser for the price - it keeps my acne at bay but doesn't cost & arm and a leg!
This is a very affordable brand that is sold at almost all stores. I like that I can find it almost anywhere. My face feels super moisturized after I wash it and moisturize with it. I do it in the morning and night with this brand.
I've been using the CeraVe moisturizing cream for over a year now. It is perfect for a gentle cream that is highly moisturizing and does not cause breakouts. It is a great value for the money. You get a lot of product for the price.
These are my go to face cleaners and moisturizer. I keep one in every bathroom and they are the best products ever I do not like switching them. My favorite is a gentle skin non-fragrance. I will buy it every single time.

Cerave healing ointment is amazing! The price point is great and it is an effective product. My husband swears by their skincare because it is affordable, easy to find in stores, and effective.

I use their moisturizing cream after every shower. It's very thick and seals in moisture, doesn't irritate my skin. Great for the body.
This is one of my favorite skincare brands I use it often and it works well and has lasting results I would definitely recommend it
I love their toners. They help clean my face without being too stripping on my face.

The CeraVe lotion for mild skin is honestly such a lifesaver because my skin can’t handle that many products at a single time. I have a tremendous product because the lotion itself is so rich and creamy and super hydrating
CeraVe is one of my go-to skincare brands! I love how their products are gentle yet effective, and they always leave my skin feeling nourished and hydrated. The Hydrating Cleanser is a must-have in my routine—it’s so calming and doesn’t strip my skin. Plus, their focus on incorporating essential ceramides makes a noticeable difference in maintaining healthy skin. It’s a brand I trust for both everyday skincare and when I want something soothing and reliable.
I'm a huge fan of the cleanser. My face always feels really hydrated and clean after using and never dry. I also love that there aren't harsh chemicals in it.
CeraVe is a classic. It is great for sensitive skin. It is simple, but effective. If you have acne, I would highly recommend the Salicylic acid cleanser, and it is effective even if you have sensitive or acne prone skin.
I haven't tried everything but the moisturizing cream is really great. You get a whole big tub and it's great on your face, legs after shaving, and whole body. I think that's special bc if its good enough for your face, its too expensive to use all over and if its good for your body it can be too heavy for your face. So I'm a fan. I would try more of the product line.
