Boxed Water is Better

Boxed Water is Better earns mixed reviews: the brand’s eco-minded carton and minimalist design resonate, but the water often tastes of cardboard, wax, or chemicals to many, while others find it clean and neutral. Reviews confirm the brand is good for reducing plastic and has sturdy, portable packaging with a resealable cap, yet drawbacks include off-flavors, awkward drinking ergonomics, difficulty getting the last sips, and water that doesn’t get very cold.

I love their mission and the water is good - but I just really prefer water in like a metal botel if plastic is not available, as it just tastes colder and fresher. But if you don't have the alternative, this water is great!
Love this water! Whenever I am out and need a water I am happy to purchase boxed water. I love the sustainability focus of this brand and they are made in my home state. Would recommend over purchasing a plastic bottle.
Great packaging and have been a customer for several years.
It's fine, nothing memorable. Exactly what you'd think drinking water out of a cardboard carton would taste/feel like.

The water has a strong unpleasant chemical taste and smell, probably stemming from the box. It's "sustainable" packaging, is still coated, hardly eco-friendly, and for sure, not healthy to be drinking whatever is flavoring the water.
Brand values and overall concept are very intentional and good! Water itself is nothing out of the ordinary.

I like the values behind the brand and for only a couple extra cents you can avoid damaging the earth. I think the taste is pretty much the same as a plastic water bottle and the lid is also the same so it can be resealed.

I like the appearance but I think a round water-bottle style could be more functional (for car cupholders & backpack pockets specifically).
I'm really rated this a 4 because of the design. I first discovered Boxed Water at Donut Friend many years ago and was blown away by the minimalist vibe and the fact it wasn't plastic.

The water tastes like water... I mean, it is water right?
While I applaud the sustainability the water has a distinct taste of the carton.

The lining of the pak should not influence the taste of the water.
I am a huge water drinker. Besides milk tea, that's pretty much all I drink! So seeing any water brand that tries something different, even if it just means packaging the water in a box, piques my interest. And while I love the motive of the brand and the packaging of the carton, I can't say I was in love with the taste of the water. I do tend to be quite picky with what water brands I drink because not all waters are created equal. So unless I was given this water at an event, I would not go out of my way to buy this again simply due to taste.

The taste of the water was not to my liking, but that might not be feasible to change.
I oddly love boxed water. the first time I saw it was a friend giving it to me and said "I saw this in the store and it screamed 'Jesse' to me". I think it's a great mission, and raises awareness around the plastic problem. It can definitely be a little awkward to drink out of but I still oddly enjoy it. I don't really buy packaged water ever buy when I do, if I was somewhere this was, I'd probably grab it.
Box Water is an inspiring success story, and I’m thrilled to see how far they’ve come. The minimalist yet impactful packaging is not only eye-catching but also aligns perfectly with their sustainability mission. It’s refreshing to see a brand stay true to its values while continuing to innovate and grow. Box Water proves that you can make a difference without compromising style or quality. Kudos to them for leading the charge in eco-friendly hydration!

Great idea in concept, but the water didn't taste very good and the box wasn't very sturdy.
The water just tastes like cardboard. Love the concept, not the execution.
Overpriced water. I didn't like the milk carton feel on my lips. The water had a tinny flavor, maybe just my batch? The throwback aesthetic is what made my buy it. Not worth the Tumblr 2016 hype.

Love this product- I typically will go thirsty instead of buying a bottle of water if I forget my reusable- so I love the creative solve of box vs. plastic. Taste wise- I think this water is good and compares to most bottled waters. I would say there is a bit of minerality/might be a little "harder" than some bottled options but still really good and certainly nothing to shy away from!

More availability! This product is in some workout locations already which I love but is not available in gas stations/ too many locations that I have seen out of major metros.
I appreciate that the packaging is sustainable, but as someone who is a big fan of water, I can't help but notice how much it tastes like paper. I've tried this product at different times and have hoped that it would get better, but it always ends up tasting like the carton.
This is a catch-22. I love that there's less plastic involved, however it does taste like paper (like drinking out of a paper straw).
My meditation studio used to give these out. I guess the packaging is better than a plastic bottle? Otherwise pretty unremarkable.
It's water. Water is great. It's vital to life. I don't have much to say about the product itself but rather its packaging. Whilst the principle behind it is admirable, is it not effectively just a greenwashing gimmick? A very aesthetically pleasing gimmick. I mean, I kept my own carton as a conversation starter on the shelf for years. If you have access to potable tap water and are concerned about buying water in plastic bottles, wouldn't a better solution be to just use a reusable bottle and fill it from the tap?
