I thought it was just ok. I did get this on the thingdrop discount, which is the only reason why I tried it. lt wasn't something that felt or tasted novel to me, and for that reason, I'll likely just keep buying a cheap wine from my local wine shops and skip the high price ($45.99 + $10 for shipping and $5 for tax). Not to mention about half way through, i just took the bag out of the box because i had a little trouble getting it to come out.

I am a lazzzyy girl because the fewer steps something requires of me, the more I love it. And this could not be easier. Boil water, drop everything in, let it cook and you're done. I've been purchasing the Broccoli, garlic and oil pasta. I love that everything is in the mix (including the pasta) and I usually add a little parmesan and smoked salmon or chicken for extra protein.

I think the portion of these pots are perfect and the price is reasonable. I got the creme brulee from whole foods and I think I paid $6 for it. Plus, when I opened the packaging, there was a coupon! Love that for me! My one complaint is that I'm accustomed to creme brulee still holding up when it's slightly warmed (as the result of torching the sugar) and I found this to get a little soupy. The second time I made it, I opted for less carmalization of the sugar for a colder (and more in tact) creme brulee. It was still good, just different.

I bought the snickerdoodle donuts with the hopes that I could snack and satiate my sweet tooth with less sugar and guilt. While I didn't feel guilt, I was not happy eating it. The taste wasn't "snickerdoodle-ly" and the texture was not good. It was very gummy to the point that you could literally feed this to a toothless infant. I would rather feel guilt of eating sugar, instead of eating a mushy donut. Won't be purchasing again.

As a LAZY GIRL, I love the idea of these! Three minutes + water + tequila = done. Couldn't be easier. And honestly, for $3 a pouch, its a great price. However, I love Palomas (literally my go to 9/10), and while I appreciate the unique touch of the cardamom, I think it's too strong. I wish they toned the cardamom to increase the grapefruit flavor. I'm definitely going try the other flavors.

A few issues with these, but first: - I would like to note that I tried the watermelon first, am currently “drinking” the peach and haven’t tried the berry flavor yet - I bought these during a thingdrop Okay the review: 1. The first issue is the aftertaste. It’s soooo strong and is making me really struggle to finish the peach flavor - so much so, that I am taking the time between sips to write this review. I noticed it with the watermelon, but it’s unbearable with the peach. 2. I opened the box and immediately thought about how unsustainable the packaging is. I understand that the disco balls are for a fun surprise, but I couldn’t help but think what I was going to do with them and then started wondering how many of these I would accumulate if I regularly ordered from the brand in the future. 3. The actual packaging of the drink was off-putting - largely the play on tweets on the back. I thought they were actual tweets of verified Twitter users (which I thought was weird), but realized, they are just random pictures of women who all look the same (think thin and white, like the woman on the Thingtesting page photo, and a photo of the CEO/Founder) and thought it was even weirder. It’s just a strange choice to brand a product in this way and then use it as an opportunity to highlight the lack of diversity in the branding. The CEO/Founder is a woman of color so this shocking and confusing. Normally, I wouldn’t care, but any time a brand uses the word “community”’ in their branding or longline I roll my eyes. Especially when the brands decides to define their community in such an exclusionary way.

Feedback

TLDR: On top of the aftertaste, the branding is a big miss for me.

Who knew that I could have a strong opinion on cook tools! I bought the 5 piece ultimate cookware set and as someone who has been known to leave tools in a hot pan while multi-tasking in the kitchen, I love that these don't get super hot or melt (like a plastic handle might). I bought the light blue color (currently the photo on the Thing Testing page for GIR is of a green spatula with a light blue spoon the left and that's the blue set I bought). It didn't stain for like a year, until I decided to use it to stir up some roasted red pepper soup! All in all, i love the set! Would recommend.

LOVE LOVE LOVE! I have two pillowcases (NAVY), an eye mask, hair ties and a (mouth) mask. To be honest, the mask to go over my mouth was ridiculous. Zero out of 10 would recommend. I got it because I figured it might be better for my skin but it’s impossible to breathe in. I think my head might be a smidge too big for the eye mask, but that’s ok, I still use it on long flights! I love the hair ties. But the hero product is the pillow case. As a Black woman, I went with the navy because I didn’t want my products to stain my pillow case in my sleep. And I love it! I hand wash it and let it air dry, so I grabbed a second one. Bye bye bonnets, scarves and hair damage in my sleep!

I love the business model that promotes slow fashion and minimizes over production. However, I’m a size 11 and their 42 barely fit. Also, I ordered one of the strappy sandals and despite the fact that the size was a little small, even trying on the sandals were incredibly painful. There was no give so the strap just dug into my feet —- and I was just trying them on. My friend has a different pair that I tried on, so I won’t give the brand a one star, but I would recommend staying away from the strappy shoes.

Tend

TL; DR - Great for cleaning but not major dental work because it's overpriced and they try to upsell you. Tend is great if you need your teeth cleaned, need a retainer BUT DON'T GO FOR DENTAL WORK. I have been going for about a year and a half, and find that it's efficient because I live in a city with a ton of locations. Making an appointment to get my teeth cleaned is easy through the interface of the booking system. I've recommended it to several friends (you get an amazon gift card for referrals), however a lot of my friends have expressed difficulty understanding if their insurance is accepted. It seems there isn't a lot of clarity on it. My REAL ISSUE is that if you need dental work, this might not be the place to go because I think they upsell you. I cracked a filling and they told me I cracked the tooth next to it as well. The solution was a service that was $5,000 (for both teeth) and insurance only covers 50% the procedure. I called my dentist in my hometown (about 4 hours from the city I live in now) and asked what they would charge and was quoted $1,000 less over the phone and made an appointment. I went in and they told me I DID NOT have two cracked teeth, that I would NOT need the repair plan tend suggested and replaced my filling for $300.
