Athletic Greens earns mixed reviews: many users report increased energy, improved regularity, and an easy morning routine, while others see little to no measurable benefit. Reviews praise AG1’s sleek packaging and convenient travel packs but cite a polarizing, often sweet/artificial aftertaste, gritty mixing, and concerns about proprietary blends; overall, the brand is appealing yet divisive on taste and efficacy.

It is hard to get past the texture for me. The flavor is okay and it just feels like it never mixes that well. Overall didn't feel like I was getting much benefit from it.

Flavor adjustments
I have been trying this for a few weeks now and I very much like the taste! It has many minerals and vitamins inside which you would think it might taste greeny but it actually isn't! The first thing you smell is the pineapple, citricy taste and when you drink it, it is actually very enjoyable. The taste itself is very simple and light. I do see a bit of the particles settling down easily and once I finish it there are some things on the bottom of the glass. But other than that, I enjoy drinking this for my everyday health!
I have been drinking athletic greens for 4 years now off and on. In the early days I saw a major difference in my energy and was dedicated to drinking it every morning. Over time, it was hard to upkeep. I still drink it on days where I feel like I won’t eat well. The taste is too sweet for me. I don’t like the addition of stevia and wish it was just “green” or tea flavored. However with enough ice, it sort of cuts through it

Tried it for month and didn't see an immediate change. The taste is ok but it feels very sandy down the throat. That's the only reason why I stop taking it.
If I could a 3.5. I was given a pack as a gift, and I like it, but the price point was too high to buy more. I personally liked it w less water, it has almost a pineapple taste which makes it enjoyable!
AG has great supplements!! It makes it super easy to get in extra veggie servings in your day.

The only issue that I have had is that it never mixes completely with the water and kind of leaves more powder at the bottom of the bottle.
I'm currently two weeks into my first 30-day subscription. I'm going to give it until the end of the first two months and make a decision on whether to continue or not. I haven't noticed a difference in my caffeine consumption in the AM. Customer service has been on point with AG. The bottle that I received was leaking and they immediately sent a replacement.

It doesn't taste terrible but it's certainly not the worst green liquid I've ever had. It's not exactly appetizing first thing in the morning.
The taste is inoffensive, but the benefits are great. I feel a clarity in the mornings I drink it, as well as a few hours of focused energy without any jitters.

It’s far too expensive.

I didn’t love the flavor initially but, it grew on me. Similarly, the first time I had it, it gave me a stomach ache, but only the first time!
I wanted to love this product, but unfortunately, it's not for me. The taste is not good, but you can mask it if you put it in a smoothie. However, I've refrained from doing this because the directions say it's best to drink it on an empty stomach in the morning. Also at $70ish/month it feels kind of expensive, but you're paying for the convenience of not having to buy it cook groceries. That being said, when I was able to get it down I felt more energized and full throughout the day.

please change the taste!
This is a whole-food green drink with greens + fruit + herbs & adaptogens + mushrooms + pre- & probiotics + multivitamins, all in one! I got their starter pack which came with a metal canister & measuring spoon; a BPA-free plastic bottle; 30-day supply of the greens powder; and, 1-yr supply of Vitamin D drops. This is a pretty good investment, especially if you have a discount code. Economics: Many people spend too much money on supplements, and this product may reduce the need to buy a whole bunch of them. So, from an economic standpoint, you may wind up saving overall costs. Product: A potent formulation of key products, plant diversity that will help your digestive system, help alkalinize your blood, and deliver key nutrients that my be deficient in your diet. The version I have is 52nd iteration. The company really works to update their ingredient list for all-in-one product. It has endorsements from celebrity athletes and wellness influencers. Transparency: ingredient list and nutrient content from food label; certifications (NSF) and sourcing of food ingredients. Taste: I've tried a lot of green drink powders. This one is one of the best tastes that I've enjoyed. I have incorporated the drink in the mornings, but you can have it any time of the day. Subscription: easy to manage.

I'd like to know exact amounts of ingredients; they also sell omega-3 supplements that are fish-based. I'd like for them to cut out the "middleman" fish and go straight to the source where fish get their omega-3s from - algae. This is a more sustainable source and depending on the formulation, better absorbed by the body.

Been using it for a while now and find it delicious and filling. Definitely a solid alternative to other options in that category! So far, so good.

Bit pricey...
I started using Athletic Greens as part of the green juice trend last year. It tastes really good, especially compared to other powders, but I didn't really see any benefits of adding the green juice to my diet.

I do love this product - I;m just not 100% convinced on ANY supplement. That said, this is the best one out there. The flavor is unmatched, and the nutrients included are perfect for daily consumption. I have taken this on and off for almost a decade now. Nothing adverse, and definitely keeps things "moving" in the morning. I'll leave my review as "worth a shot".
Thus far I can say that I believe AG1 has strengthened my immune system. Co-workers and family members around me have been getting sick. My body felt like it wanted to go down, but I am convinced AG1 had a lot to do with my immune system being fortified. I snapped right out of it. I'm going to continue to fight the good fight with AG1 being part of my diet.
It has Stevia in it; what’s the point of eating healthy if there’s unnecessary sweeteners???

I love the amount of good stuff in this drink, but I absolutely could not handle the taste - it felt like an artificial sweet tropical flavour when I would honestly have preferred it taste like dirt and plants or just like a green juice with a bit of tartness. That being said, I will mix it into smoothies to mask the flavour, and customer support was awesome when I let them know that I didn't like the taste and had a hard time drinking it.

Flavour! If there was a more neutral flavoured alternate I would try it.

I was really on the fence about trying AG1 and was at a conference and got a free sample. Well, I am hooked. The flavor was much better than I expected and the fragrant citrusy initial scent/flavor really makes it more enjoyable. I am never sure if it's a hyper-reaction or if I genuinely feel it but when I have one after a flight or long commute, I really do bounceback much better.
Flavor was good, but they’re too expensive and I don’t typically trust nutrition labels when they have “proprietary blend”. I like to know exactly what I’m ingesting.

My brother put me onto AG over a year ago, and I was super skeptical. And then I ended up loving it!!! It's become a staple in my routine and just makes me feel more energized and balanced. And then I ended up working at AG! But I promise, as a long-time fan, it's actually good stuff.
