Method earns positive reviews for effective, plant-based cleaners and body care that smell distinctive—standouts include Pink Grapefruit multipurpose spray, Lavender hand soap, Simply Nourish and Pure Peace body washes, and mint glass cleaner—while refill options boost sustainability. Reviews also flag drawbacks: some formulas require more product or lack heavy-duty power, certain scents read strong or synthetic, hand soaps can dry skin for some, and packaging still relies on plastic with limited concentrate options.

I like how the soap foams and there is always different scents coming out which is cool. I can’t find it this is a “clean” product or not though.
Method’s Cedar and Cypress 2-1 shampoo conditioner is an elite option for people who prefer to use a 2-1. I only use them for early mornings and this is my favorite.
Vetiver + Amber gel hand soap is a 10/10 star at our house and in our Airbnb. The scent is fantastic and gets compliments anytime someone comes over (also great way to confirm your guests wash their hands 🤣). They sell refill sizes at Target which I typically purchase.
I didn't even know all of Method's products were plant-based and biodegradable. I love the scents and variety of products that they offer.
The lavender multipurpose spray is my favorite cleaning product. Works well on everything! The hand soap is great too. The new mint/lemon bathroom cleaner smells so synthetic it almost smells toxic? Which I know it’s not, but I used it once and won’t use again.

New scents for the anti-bacterial bathroom cleaner.

This is one brand I never thought I would see on here - surely so many folks have tried Method. Either way, they're just a more "clean" version of your traditional brands. Still owned by the giant SC Johnson (also owners of Glade, Draino, Windex, Shout, Mrs Meyers, Babyganics, the list continues) so keep that in mind when you're purchasing.
The cleaning products were just okay, I'm a much bigger fan of the soaps. The energy boost body wash smells EXACTLY like the shampoo and conditioner I use, which I love, and I consistently feel really clean after having used it. The soaps and shower gels make the perfect amount of lather every time and are so affordable for such a nice clean and such pretty scents.
I like this soap a lot! I appreciate the simple design and it's easily accessible at most grocery stores.
I tried their island mist body wash and I love it! The ocean inspired scent is very good and makes me happy when taking a shower. It also aligns with where I live in the beach city. The formula is cruelty-free and vegan which is a good commitment to sustainability. The price is affordable at target so I will go buy for more!
Method Hand Wash is a standout in both effectiveness and style! The formula is gentle on the skin but still gets your hands really clean, leaving them feeling soft and refreshed. The scents are fantastic—light, refreshing, and not too strong. I especially love the scents like lavender, pink grapefruit, and sea minerals. The packaging is sleek and modern, making it a stylish addition to any sink. Plus, it’s made with plant-based ingredients, so it’s a great eco-friendly choice. It’s easy to see why Method has such a loyal following! Highly recommend it for both its performance and its design.
The hand soaps are great. Inexpensive and do the job. Bonus that they are reasonably priced

Great soap for the price point. Comes in great scents and refillable options. Easily available at Target!
just bought a refill of the vetiver scent and it smells like a certain luxurious sandalwood VERY POPULAR brand's scent... but much more affordable! I'm not soapologist though so i can't say how effectively it cleans since it's a "clean" brand but it leaves my hands soft.

A lovely drugstore/Target homeware brand. I have always been pleased with their hand soaps.
Greenwashing 👎🏼 Products are mid. There are much better products out there that are actually natural & d cruelty free.
My favorite laundry detergent!

Good products, nice scents, and refillable products.
Really love the concept of these clean products, but I really don't think they clean as well as other clean products. But they are reasonably priced!

Love the packaging and scents. Availability is annoyingly hit or miss. Some of their products don't work as well as the industry leading brands.
