MERIT earns strong reviews as a minimalist makeup brand that delivers natural, dewy, skin-like results with elegant packaging and foolproof, blendable formulas—especially standouts like the Flush Balm blush, Minimalist Complexion Stick, Bronze Balm, Day Glow, and Shade Slick lip oil. Reviews also flag weaknesses: sheer color and shorter wear, products emphasizing dryness or texture on some skin types, inconsistent shade range for fair and deeper undertones, packaging quirks (sticks breaking, messy pumps), and a mascara that reads too subtle for some.

I'm only shopping clean beauty brands these days, and Merit is one of my favorites. I've never been a lipstick wearer because it's a pain to keep up with throughout the day. I tended to get tinted lip balms because they were moisturizing and easy to apply. Merit's signature lipstick made me into a lipstick person! Great formula that is a easy to apply, moisturizing and comfortable to wear. I wouldn't call it long lasting, but the way that it wears off is flattering -- like a faint stain. They have a simple line with not a lot of colors to choose from, which is pretty limiting in ways and perhaps my only complaint. They also make a great tubing mascara that doesn't irritate sensitive eyes, and washes off with warm water.

I've tried their lipstick and they are so good. The texture and pigment are great. I already ordered more...

Have really liked every product that I have tried from the brand! Just purchased the brush no.1 to go along with my bronzer. I am looking forward to trying more products

Absolutely love the bronzer. I got the shade "Clay" and its really lightweight and non-clogging for my pores in the summertime. Packaging feels very high quality and it's super blendable and dewey. Need to try all of their other products!
Tried the sheer blush. Very nice, would love to try more products
I've used Clean Lash, Brown 1980, Brush No. 1, The Minimalist, and The Shade Stick. They've replaced all of my Glossier products, as they just feel like a step up for comparable prices. Packaging and branding is minimal too.

The Minimalist (concealer/foundation replacement) is a bit touch to blend with the brush unless you've applied moisturizer underneath.
Basically the only makeup I wear. Provides the right amount of coverage and has nice packaging while maintaining a minimal, no makeup makeup vibe. Love the blush and the complexion stick, plus the bag!
I'm incredibly minimalist when it comes to makeup - my favorite part about this brand is that they're making no-nonsense, cut to the chase, reach-for-everyday items that you can't not have in your makeup bag. Their packaging is simple and sophisticated. Prices are a little higher than I'd like to spend on makeup but the quality keeps me trusting what I'm putting on my face, which makes it worth it.
Obsessed. Have tried their lipstick, lip oil, mascara, foundation stick, and perfume. They are some of the best on the market. Pigment and texture of lip products are great, long lasting, glides on easily. Mascara is great for lengthening and giving a natural finish -- if you're looking for a TON of extra definition, this might not be for you. The foundation stick is also a winner, shade range is pretty impressive and the match was quite good. The texture of the foundation wasn't too sticky or thick, and it blended very easily with their makeup brush. Their Retrospect perfume is one of the most unique scents I've come across, elegant and complex notes. Definitely a new favorite brand, and it's also a great gift idea, especially their bundles.
I got the mascara and I have absolutely loved it! My eyes water a lot and this doesn’t move at all! I would definitely recommend it.
I am on my third minimalist stick, has a really natural finish I love and blends super nice. Their bronzer is very light and natural as well, I use it for both contouring and bronzing. obsessed

I'm happy to jump onto the Merit train – the internet is full of Merit ads right now but I actually loved the Merit products I used. It's all very lightweight and beginner friendly, perfect for someone who likes having a simple, but elegant getting ready routine. Also, the lippie in Marrakech is a staple in my bag now!
Love all of the merit products i use and theyve become staples in my makeup routine (the bronzer stick which is so easy to apply bronzy contour and the brow gel). Love that it doesnt clog my pores!! Really want to try some other merit products to add to my makeup collection.
LOVED MERIT. It's been a minute since I've loved a brand so so much. Ordered a bunch of things from Merit. Especially loved the blush and the perfecting stick! The blush is long lasting and just a stunning cream blush. The perfecting stick just blends like butter and gives the perfect day to day coverage. The lip oil is pigmented and leaves a beautiful stain. Can't wait to try the mascara and the highlighter next, highly recommend!
I have almost every item in the Merit daily lineup. My stand outs are the Complexion Stick - convenient packaging and the product itself is so skin-like (I've gone through 3 tubes), the Flush Balm - easy every-day blush, and the brush to go with the Complexion Stick. I've also tried the Shade Slick, Day Glow HIghlighting Balm, and the Bronzing Stick. My only complaint that the color products can easily blend away if you rub it in too much, but the light coverage is what makes it so wearable on a daily basis. I also had a great customer service experience when I got the Complexion Stick in the wrong shade, reached out to customer support, and they sent me a new one free of charge.
Love their blushes!!! Such cute innovative packaging and the colors glide on and compliment your skin so well.
I really love Merit products. I think they have high quality formulas and great colors with strong performance. I like that they don't have a million products and they're a brand that is easy to shop. The simple but classy packaging is also great. For friends who want to wear a little more makeup and look put together without putting in a ton of effort (or spending a lot) I recommend Merit all the time. When I do a 3-minute face it's mostly Merit products and I definitely always pack them to travel.
I’m more of a skincare guy, but Merit Beauty has been a solid intro to minimal makeup. The Complexion Stick is super easy—just swipe, blend with fingers, and I’m good. It evens out my skin without looking or feeling like makeup. The Brow Pomade keeps things tidy without making it obvious I did anything. Everything feels clean, low-effort, and fits right into my routine. Great for guys who want to look a little more polished without going full glam.
My favorite mascara! I’ve been using Merit mascara for a couple years now. It’s a perfect everyday mascara. Doesn’t really leave as much undereye darkness when I inevitably rub my eye. Also love how easy it is to remove. I only wish they would make it in brown

Merits products are very easy to use and buildable. The perfectly glowy bronze for the summer. The product also lasts a very long time and the consistency stays the same no matter how long you have had it for.
