MERIT earns strong reviews as a minimalist brand that delivers natural, blendable color and a polished “no‑makeup makeup” finish—especially via the Minimalist Complexion Stick, Flush Balm blush, Shade Slick lip oils, and Clean Lash mascara—yet several reviews flag weak longevity, patchy or sheer payoff on some items, and packaging quirks like product breaking or hard‑to‑access components. Reviews of MERIT also cite creamy, skin-friendly formulas that don’t clog pores and flatter sensitive skin, while noting issues such as dryness on textured or very dry skin, limited shade nuances for some tones, and brow or mascara performance that’s too subtle for bolder looks.

As a professional MUA, I’m always on the lookout for products that marry performance with clean formulations — and MERIT Beauty has truly impressed me on both fronts. The brand’s minimalist philosophy doesn’t sacrifice quality; in fact, it elevates it.

One of my favorite clean blushes on the market. The packaging is simple and easy to use. The product itself if pigmented and a very workable cream product. I also feel good about the ingredients being non-toxic. It also comes in a tone of shades, but my favorite it CHEEKY.

This is a really nice brand that I enjoyed trying out for the first time. I really liked how the mascara felt lightweight on my eyes, compared to others that felt very heavy and weighed them down or made my lashes look too bulky. When leaving my home I felt that I looked like I was natural, all while still looking put together.
Merit Beauty is a total game-changer! Their products are high-quality, easy to use, and give a natural, glowing look without feeling heavy. I love the minimalistic packaging and the focus on clean ingredients. From their lipsticks to the complexion products, everything feels luxurious yet effortless. It’s perfect for anyone who wants a fresh, polished look without a lot of fuss. Definitely my new go-to beauty brand!
I tried the blush and I loved it so much! I want to buy it again. It was the perfect shade and I loved the smooth texture
love it
The best part of the products is the brown corduroy clutch bag it comes in. I tried the blush and the color was great. Definitely is a strong pigment. Just didn’t rub in so well.

Have been impressed with their colors and applications. everything I have just glides perfectly onto my skin and the colors are just perfect. Nothing I tried and not liked yet. It's definitely pricey.
I enjoy the merit blush. The colors are soft and warm and sits well on the skin.
the minimalist perfecting stick is my go-to for foundation (beige) and contour (sepia) because they melt into the skin and provide a natural finish. the coverage is buildable and works as a concealer on dark spots/redness. A MOMENT FOR THE PACKAGING. that's all.
I'm only shopping clean beauty brands these days, and Merit is one of my favorites. I've never been a lipstick wearer because it's a pain to keep up with throughout the day. I tended to get tinted lip balms because they were moisturizing and easy to apply. Merit's signature lipstick made me into a lipstick person! Great formula that is a easy to apply, moisturizing and comfortable to wear. I wouldn't call it long lasting, but the way that it wears off is flattering -- like a faint stain. They have a simple line with not a lot of colors to choose from, which is pretty limiting in ways and perhaps my only complaint. They also make a great tubing mascara that doesn't irritate sensitive eyes, and washes off with warm water.

Have really liked every product that I have tried from the brand! Just purchased the brush no.1 to go along with my bronzer. I am looking forward to trying more products
Tried the sheer blush. Very nice, would love to try more products
I've used Clean Lash, Brown 1980, Brush No. 1, The Minimalist, and The Shade Stick. They've replaced all of my Glossier products, as they just feel like a step up for comparable prices. Packaging and branding is minimal too.

The Minimalist (concealer/foundation replacement) is a bit touch to blend with the brush unless you've applied moisturizer underneath.
Obsessed. Have tried their lipstick, lip oil, mascara, foundation stick, and perfume. They are some of the best on the market. Pigment and texture of lip products are great, long lasting, glides on easily. Mascara is great for lengthening and giving a natural finish -- if you're looking for a TON of extra definition, this might not be for you. The foundation stick is also a winner, shade range is pretty impressive and the match was quite good. The texture of the foundation wasn't too sticky or thick, and it blended very easily with their makeup brush. Their Retrospect perfume is one of the most unique scents I've come across, elegant and complex notes. Definitely a new favorite brand, and it's also a great gift idea, especially their bundles.
I got the mascara and I have absolutely loved it! My eyes water a lot and this doesn’t move at all! I would definitely recommend it.
I am on my third minimalist stick, has a really natural finish I love and blends super nice. Their bronzer is very light and natural as well, I use it for both contouring and bronzing. obsessed

I'm happy to jump onto the Merit train – the internet is full of Merit ads right now but I actually loved the Merit products I used. It's all very lightweight and beginner friendly, perfect for someone who likes having a simple, but elegant getting ready routine. Also, the lippie in Marrakech is a staple in my bag now!
Love all of the merit products i use and theyve become staples in my makeup routine (the bronzer stick which is so easy to apply bronzy contour and the brow gel). Love that it doesnt clog my pores!! Really want to try some other merit products to add to my makeup collection.
