Glossier delivers effortless, natural-looking makeup that many reviews praise—standouts include Boy Brow, Cloud Paint, Lash Slick, Stretch Concealer, and the “You” fragrance—while frequent critiques cite sheer coverage, short wear, and hit‑or‑miss skincare. Reviews of Glossier highlight intuitive, finger-friendly textures, flattering shades, iconic scent, and chic design, but also note reformulations (You and Balm Dotcom), packaging breaks/leaks, limited shade range, and products that feel lightweight to the point of barely there.
AI summary based on Thingtesting reviews
Everyone and their mother has tried this brand at this point so I'm not sure what this review will add, but I will mostly just say that I find Glossier increasingly irrelevant and uninspiring. The Boy Brow will always be great, and the lip balm (in cherry) is one of my winter go-tos. Other than that I find most of the products unremarkable, marketing-over-substance, and attempting to fix problems that don't really exist. Definitely not eco-friendly.
I used to be a huge fan and my rating has gone down in the last 6 years. I have never tried the skincare so I'll start with that. I used to love the perfume, Glossier You, but then they changed the formula and it just is not as good. There are a few makeup products that I love- CloudPaint and the Balm Dot Com.
Absolutely love the perfume it’s my favorite product!
I have had mostly good experiences with Glossier and have tried so many products from them. I love their liquid eye shadow and lip glosses especially. My only issue I’ve had is the face serums make me breakout, but I do have very sensitive skin.

Consider marking of your items are noncomedogenic and if they aren’t, if it’s possible to make them.
Absolutely my favorite makeup and skincare brand! As someone who prefers the no-makeup-makeup-look, this brand nails that. I haven’t tried anything that I didn’t love but I use the balm dot com, the boy brow, and the cloud paint practically every day! Also one of the best customer service teams I have ever interacted with.
I've used many of Glossier's products, including the Milky Jelly cleanser, You fragrance, Balm.Com, etc. All of them are pretty great, but I feel like now there are so many other better options on the market I would go to first before going to Glossier. They are on the more expensive side, and as I've gotten older, they've felt younger and younger. Going to the LA store I was surrounded by teenagers, which is fine, but definitely not in line with their campaigns featuring people of all ages using their products.

The You fragrance definitely smells different on other people, and may not always be pleasant. On my friends, it smelled really great and fresh, but when I tried it, we were all laughing and baffled because it just smelled like paper on me. Truly, fresh paper out of the printer smell. I would also say their products are on the more expensive side, and there are others out there that work just as good or better at a more affordable price. Feels like a lifestyle brand more than a genuine good products brand.
The branding and aesthetic are what drew me to follow the brand on social media as the skincare industry is so saturated.

There needs to be more shade offerings and their scents don't last long after a few spritzs. It feels like they're charging customers based on hype and drops, which is part of the equation for attracting new and current customers, but that can't be all of a brand's DNA.
Standard quality make up and skin care, with chic packaging. Their balm dotcom is fancy vaseline... that I do love and prefer to regular vaseline. Their cloud paint blush is highly pigmented and last FOREVER (if you have tips on how I can use mine up dm me, it is a never ending tube). Their mascara creates a very clean "no makeup" look. Their body oil is really nice. Very hydrating and absorbs quickly. Their exfoliating bar does what it says it will. Is it worth the price? I personally won't be repurchasing. But I am glad I tried them.

The biggest obstacle for me is having to buy their product on their website. I hate having to pay for shipping for such small and low cost items. I wish there were more options to buy their products in person. I think Sephora may stock them soon.....
Skin care products are just okay, makeup products are affordable
I've tried the Glossier Futuredew. I love the look of the bottle! And really appreciate the ingredients: Jojoba, Grape Seed, Evening Primrose, and Rosehip Oils are suspended in a water-in-oil emulsionEvodia Rutaecarpa Extract: Fruit extract to visibly increase brightness. Sugarcane Squalane: 100% plant-based ingredient that helps lock in moisture. Light-Reflecting Minerals: Gives all skin tones an immediate glow that lasts all day.

I thought it was a tad sticky on my skin. That's all I did not like.

Love the Boy Brow! Other products that I have tried have been good, but not the best.

I wish Glossier used more clean ingredients.
The go to for no makeup makeup Cloud Paint: Its so pigmented that it takes a while to learn how much product to use. Easy to build and blend into the skin. The colors can be layered or mixed to customize Balm Dot Com: Vaseline like, not necessarily moisturizing, but it does add a nice hint of color to you lips or skin. You Perfume: I’m on my second bottle, it’s my everyday scent. I always get compliments on it. It’s light and pretty Boy Brow: I like it better after it dries out a bit. A solid tinted brown gel with great pigment

The packaging, specifically the shipping, could be a little more sustainable

Glossier is revolutionary in so many ways! They've gotten some flak recently for various things, but they still make my very very favorite Boy Brow and Lash Flick, which I will never abandon.
Some products - like balm dot com and boy brow - I can't live without. Others are just eh compared to lower price alternatives, especially the skincare products.
I've only tried the mint Balm Dotcom but it does indeed slap! Great texture and scent, and I find that it keeps my lips lubricated for a sufficient amount of time.
I've ordered mostly makeup and it's always been pretty great! Not sure about their skincare line yet.

Said in so many other reviews. This is a solid product, especially for the price point. Packaging is fun and very millennial. I really like balm dot com lip gloss and the boy brow!
I don't have sensitive skin, but the milky jelly cleanser made my skin burn. Also, the lip balm split open in the middle after a few months and spilt inside my pocket. You're paying for branding here. Would never go back.
Have only used the Boy Brow BUT, it is hands down the best eyebrow-enhancing product I've used. The hype is well earned. Simple to use and does what it says. It comes in a very small container, though. Will likely last you a month. Maybe two, max.

Plastic! Glossier products are still predominately packaged in plastic, I believe, and although they have listened to their consumers and made a commitment to sustainability, most notably- discontinuing their Glitter Gelée, I'd personally like to see more being done in that space to make the brand a more environmentally responsible option.
As someone who doesn't wear makeup very often, it made buying make up for me simple and approachable
