  • Sheer coverage complexion products
  • Inconsistent scent longevity
  • Fiddly, fragile packaging

Glossier delivers an easy, “no-makeup makeup” look that works for many, according to reviews of Glossier, with standouts like Boy Brow, Cloud Paint, Lash Slick, Stretch Concealer, Milky Jelly Cleanser, and the You fragrance earning repeat buys and compliments. However, reviews also flag inconsistent skincare efficacy, very sheer coverage, shade-range limitations, packaging flaws (leaky tubes, cracking caps, tiny Boy Brow), reformulation concerns (Balm Dotcom, You longevity), and some products that fade, flake, or feel sticky.

  • Three cheers for glossier! Their products look great and make me feel great. I'm obsessed with their mascara and eyeliner - both are long lasting and miraculously never blur or bleed - and their Priming Moisturizer Balance, which has really helped my skin look its best. I'm also a big fan of their You perfume which I'd describe as the anti-perfume perfume. It smells nice without assaulting anyone with a smell! As a minimal makeup wearer, I really appreciate the simplicity of their products. I'd be remiss to not also mention their packaging. Lots of pink? Cute bubble pouch? Free stickers? TOO GOOD.

  • Tried it when they were popping up all over social media a few years ago. Definitely not worth the hype. The result and experience was underwhelming. The quality is basic at it best. I love their pink bubble pouch though.

  • I have to admit I've joined the Glossier cult, and I'm not mad about it. They are my go to makeup brand, incredible reliable and their products never miss. Andd man oh man the packaging is perfect for a minimalist gal like myself. You know what I'm absolutely loving about Glossier? Their focus on skincare-infused makeup is a game-changer! Not only do their products enhance my features is a natural way, but they also nourish and take care of my skin. It's such a relief to find makeup that feels so lightweight and breathable. I mean, seriously, it lets my skin breathe and feel hydrated all day. But here's the real kicker -- Glossier totally gets the art of enhancing, not covering up. Their product range is packed with essentials like the amazing Boy Brow and those beautiful Cloud Paint blushes. Let me tell you, they give you that effortless and glowing look without going overboard. Glossier really understands the importance of celebrating our unique features, and that's what sets them apart.

  • I have been a Glossier girl since day one. I don't use their entire line but the items I keep going back to are the You perfume (even if every other girl in NYC has it) and the brow gel. The in-store experience is also top notch! You literally can't walk in and not buy something.

  • I’ve been a fan of Glossier for a long time but recently impressed with their skincare line. I’ve had some misses (the perfume and hand lotion didn’t end up being staples for me) but their Boy Brow, skin serums, and blushes are always in my drawer!

  • Absolutely love glossier products. The packaging is sleek and the the price point is very good.

  • Love the packaging and the products themselves are also great quality. I always repurchase

  • I love their lipgloss - high shine, long lasting, great applicator, a TRUE glossy lip gloss without the sticky feeling!!!

  • The global Glossier experience is perfect but i wouldn't give 5 stars regarding the product that is basic, with no new innovations. The exfoliant gave me a skin reaction, the blushes texture is too creamy and does not mix well with any bronzer - need to be applied in very very very small quantity because very pigmented. the gloss is very sticky. Otherwise, the Mascara is a MUST!!!

  • Writing on behalf of my mom who loved the face creams! Cream had a nice feel and left her face feeling very nice.

  • I've only ever used Glossier's Universal Salve, and I love it, but Glossier has underwhelmed me in their response to @outtathegloss on Instagram. It's disappointing but not surprising.

  • I haven't tried a wide range of their products, but Glossier's Pro Tip liquid liner enlightened me to the fact that most eyeliners are actually failures. This is what an eyeliner should be. Long lasting, easy to use. That's it. That's the review.

I will say that I did once receive a tube that was already dried out, and I have seen others share this complaint, so that's something to watch out for!

  • Phew, rating Glossier is rough. So far, I’ve loved almost all of their products (my fave is the milky jelly cleanser, after baume, boy brow, lash slick, and cloud paint in puff & spark) and the experience of their stores is extremely fun and awesome - however their recent business developments being less community oriented and more focused on mass consumption and profits makes me cautious to buy or recommend it.

    Feedback

I understand the desire to expand but I feel like Glossier could put more effort into its community again and making it feel more inclusive and return to its fun girl sleepover vibes vs the more corporate, almost luxury brand kind of attitude it’s turning into currently. Especially with the delightful surprises being less and the one on one communications being less personal.

  • It's the lack of overwhelm that keeps me running back to this brand. I'm not a wizard with makeup, so being able to count on Glossier to have a moderate selection (goodbye, decision paralysis!) that is straightforward and user-friendly is the biggest game changer.

    Nothing.

  • Glossier is definitely a great starting brand for people getting into skincare and makeup. The products are generally great and very easy to use--making them ideal for those "minimalist" makeup looks. Glossier also has wonderful branding; the brick-and-mortar stores are delightful to visit and the brand ships out cute seasonal stickers and signature pink bubble-wrap zip bags with every order. I started using Glossier in my mid-teens and since then, have tried and tested many of their product offerings. My favorite makeup products from the brand have to be the Boy Brow eyebrow gel and the Cloud Paint cheek color. They have both has been staples in my makeup bag for YEARS as I have found that Boy Brow is one of the few tinted eyebrow gels in the market that does not have that rigid, crusty texture when it dries down and Cloud Paint has the perfect balance of pigment and spreadability AND looks amazing on skin throughout the day. My favorite skincare product from the brand is the Milky Jelly Cleanser. I wouldn't say that it is anything super special but I really enjoy how gentle it is on the skin and I do personally prefer gel cleansers that have more of a "jelly" texture than a creamier, more runny one. I am not a big fan of the Glossier serums; they broke me out in a big way and as someone with drier skin, this does not happen often. I did enjoy the Skin Tint and Stretch Concealer though not enough for me to repurchase them a second time around. I did, however, greatly enjoy their old Glossier Play line of colorful makeup products, particularly the colored eyeliner pencils which I still use to this day. It is definitely a shame that it was discontinued. Overall, I believe Glossier is a great brand for younger consumers and individuals who love an easy, no-fuss beauty routine. However, I would not recommend Glossier to individuals who feel that they require more makeup coverage or are looking for high-performing skincare products that target specific concerns.

I would love if Glossier made more products with higher coverage and pigment.

  • I like Glossier but I've personally never been blown away. I've had a couple of tubes of their Cloud Paint that was nice.

    Feedback

Even the Cloud paint is a little difficult to use. I've been able to find alternatives for everything else that's higher quality (read: longer-lasting) and thet I enjoy more.

  • Glossier is a good entry level brand for anyone just starting out on their skincare journey. The customer experience is great, from the website to the fun unboxing. The price point is really good, but there are way better/cleaner options out there for similar price points.

    Feedback

I'm not a fan of fragrance, it's a huge deal breaker for me.

  • The Milky Jelly Cleanser is a lovely + gentle daily cleanser. It really gets the makeup and sweat off without feeling harsh. Not totally a fan of the Priming Moisturizer Rich. I was hoping for something really rich and emollient, but my skin still feels a little dry after applying. The Futuredew gives a gorgeous sun-kissed glow. Love that.

  • Great mission! Great social media presence! Reliable products! Only critique is that it’s become too mainstream.

    Feedback

    Honestly nothing !

  • Everything I've tried from this brand, I've liked. Favourite products are the body hero shower gel and the exfoliator.

Would love them to use less plastic packaging.
