I tried this once and bought this for a friend twice and we both noticed our hair was worse after finishing the bottle. Shine was dulled and moisture lessened. I wouldn't waste your money on this one. The smell was great though. That was the best part.

I recently bought the hair mask and absolutely love it! I love the customization. I started using it about 2 weeks ago and I’m already seeing and feeling results, it’s become a staple!

The shampoo and conditioner were underwhelming in their performance - way too many other product lines out there at similar price points that perform better.

Loved the experience

Not a fan. I have natural waves that are very finicky, so had high hopes about a custom formulated product, but this was super damaging and not any better than anything you could find at Target for cheaper. If you have curly/wavy hair, you're better off just buying a product specifically formulated for curls. Plus, HATE the subscription model - by the time I realized I didn't want to stick with it, I had another bottle on the way.

I have been using the wavy formula for about 6 months on and off, and I really do love it. I wish that they didn't use so much plastic, that is what gives me pause about 5 stars. This really is the only formula that helps me manage my wavy/frizzy hair. I use the curly

I borrowed by friend's product to try, and she has a similar hair texture to mine. I loved the packaging, but I didn't see any significant changes. In that wash.

I was so excited to try this brand and it was a total flop for me. My hair felt terrible after using this for a week or two. I decided not to go through customer service and worked these products out of my routine.

These worked so well and mad my hair very soft

I tried this excited about the customisation aspect and I guess with high expectations of something amazing. It was fine, and it's a nice product and fun idea, it's just nothing different to any other decent shampoo or conditioner I could get elsewhere.

I have not tried this brands actual shampoo and conditioner but can say that their booster treatments are amazing and very inexpensive.

Didn't love it. Had really high expectations, loved the packaging and the custom formula idea. I have wavy to curly hair, and it didn't do much to hydrate it. Love the smell, will not repurchase though.

I like it for the aesthetics and convenience of it coming to my house. But I believe I've "overstayed" a little only relying on that as I don't see a very big difference in my hair. The scents and colours are fun, though!

The idea of this sounded amazing but I didn’t find any aspect of the product to stand out. I have straight, long, thick hair and no particular issues I was trying to address.The actual shampoo and conditioner were very meh and didn’t leave my hair feeling especially improved in any way. It’s not bad but not memorable. Even the features that I think are secondarily important like smell and packaging weren’t anything special. If you want your name printed on the bottle then maybe you want this but that novelty aside I wasn’t impressed.

I've used Function of Beauty twice in the last two years and was honestly less than impressed. I was confused because they marketed so hard. I don't think it did much to my hair, leaving it feeling dryer than it was?

The biggest draw for me was the personalized + cohesive set, looked and felt like a major bathroom flex. The coconut scent smelled a bit artificial, the shampoo/body wash/lotion felt pretty normal, but the conditioner was super impressive at detangling. Face wash felt gentle and the serum is hydrating, love using the moisturizing gel for the summer daytime, because it's super mattifying. Again, love looking at my beautiful matching glass bottles of skincare... but maybe that's just me.

I tried the brand's products to help my hair get used to New York City, and it had great results. It smells incredible and lasts a while. The website is quick and easy to use with personalization options for everything from fitness level to pollution where you live, and everything ships in custom bottles and packaging.
