Crown Affair earns largely positive reviews as a luxe, effective haircare brand with standout tools and treatments—especially The Towel, The Oil, the Leave-In Conditioner, Dry Shampoo powder, and boar-bristle brushes—while criticisms focus on strong fragrance for some, inconsistent results with certain formulas (e.g., mousse, dry shampoo for oily hair), and high prices. Reviews cite elevated packaging, thoughtful design, and long-lasting products, but note occasional issues like messy dry-shampoo packaging, brush cleaning, scent intensity, and a few durability concerns.

Disappointed with Customer Service I was really looking forward to trying Crown Affair, but unfortunately, my experience with their customer service was very disappointing. My order was marked as delivered to a "front door/porch" — which would make sense for a house, but I live in a third-floor apartment with no front porch or direct delivery access. When I reached out to customer service to explain the likely delivery error, I was met with a copy-paste response stating they are "not responsible for any lost or stolen packages" and suggesting I take it up with USPS. While I understand that some issues are out of their hands, the lack of effort or willingness to help beyond sending a link to a USPS form was frustrating. They made it clear that once a package is marked "delivered," it's no longer their problem — even when it's pretty obvious it was likely delivered to the wrong place. I expected a more customer-centric approach from a premium brand. Sadly, this experience has made me hesitant to ever order from them again.
I have been testing out various haircare products for a while now, and I've come to the conclusion that Crown Affair really is one of the best out there. I tried their hydration trio- leave-in conditioner, hair mask, and hair oil. All the products helped me to keep a nice hair texture that was soft and not too frizzy. The hair oil came out the top item, though- it is pure MAGIC in there. Well worth the price. I am a little in sticker shock when I see the pricing of their hair towel, hair brush, or even hair clips. I'm guessing they're good quality, but it does seem a bit overpriced to me.
I had been following Crown Affair and obsessing over their branding for almost a year until I finally purchased the Renewal Mask. I'm not someone who typically spends a lot on hair products so $58 was a commitment, but I've truly noticed a difference in my hair from using this mask. Living in Miami, not only is the sun and humidity really taxing on my hair, but so is all the minerals in the shower water (something I didn't even realize was a thing my first few years here). This product has really helped to restore some of that damage and make my hair more silky overall.
My hair has never been happier since discovering Crown Affair's The Oil. It tames frizz without weighing down my waves. The glass dropper bottle is both beautiful and practical - no spills or waste.
The microfiber towel is best in class - I purchased a second one so that I can pack one for travel. I also like their silk scrunchies, but they are wildly different from the product as offered by other brands.
I love the packaging. I love the finishing gel. Definitely works better than other similar products on the market. Wish there was more of a scent. Didn’t see any difference using the hair towel.
This is a worth it splurge for me! The dry shampoo works so well for my hair. It also smells amazing- the boar bristle brush is great and keeps my hair looking so smooth. I will 100% repurchase!

I have thick wavy hair that can feel weighed down by some intense moisturizing hair products. But the hair mask is really great. My hair is soft and the waves a thick, smooth and shiny. This smells amazing too 😋
Best hair products I have ever used. From leave-in conditioner to towel to comb, everything feels like a 5-star-spa luxury.
Loving the shampoo and conditioner - feels like a luxury experience every time I use it
I've been using the hair oil for a while for my fine wavy hair, and I absolutely love it. Smells amazing and doesn't weigh down my hair. I've tried some of their other products as well - scrunchies, brushes, etc., and they're all fine, if a bit expensive. But the oil is definitely the standout product.

I love a couple things from this brand, and hope to try more in the future! I'm a huge fan of their hair oil, it feels amazing, is lightweight enough that I can use it on my semi-fine hair, and it smells so good. I find the bottle lasts me a very long time as well as my hair isn't very long, usually above shoulder length. I also absolutely love the hairbrush I got from them, specifically the 001 (combo bristles) - it's a great all around brush, nice and smoothing and feels amazing on my scalp. Eager to try their leave in conditioner and the dry shampoo!
Love love love my hair towel and mask. The scent of the mask makes me look forward to the showers when I get to use it!

I'm not into haircare all that much. I'm just basic shampoo and conditioner kinda guy. But I wanted to support Crown Affair.... so I bought the hair mask. I used it once and I can say my hair felt super soft, smooth, and it held my hair clay in very well. I had fewer flyaway hairs and it even helps with damage after coloring my hair. I refuse to go a week without using it.

Nothing, just more products.
branding, products, communication, thoughtfulness. effective products--first hair oil that had a mild scent and left my hair feeling light and healthy, rather than weighted down and greasy.

This was my first time purchasing from Crown Affair and I'm definitely hooked! I have long very fine, straight hair that's easily weighed down by products and I got the cleansing scrub & the texturizing air dry mousse and am in love! Although I shampoo every day, buildup really weighs down my hair and I like to use a clarifying shampoo or scrub once a week or so. I love the way this scrub lathers up into what feels like a typical shampoo but also leaves my scalp squeaky clean! Also, can we talk about the smell, so clean and beautiful, I just might need to get the hair perfume! For styling, I'm really low maintenance and have been on the hunt for the perfect product to achieve effortless texture and a slight wave in my typically straight hair. I've tried so many other wave creams, mousses, sea salt sprays and THIS IS THE ONE – this mousse leaves the perfect texture without adding any sticky residue or heaviness. I'm really excited to use these products all summer long and will definitely be purchasing from Crown Affair again!

The leave-in conditioner and conditioning mask has been a game-changer. My hair is so much smoother, and the best part, it smells AMAZING. Love the crown affair signature scent. I have also tried the shampoo and conditioner and was not disappointed. Such a cool and aesthetic brand.
I absolutely love their dry shampoo powder! It’s pricey but very worth it. The powder is translucent, and the package comes with a thin-bristled brush so you can easily pick up powder and rub into your hair. This prevents a messy application (which I’ve found to be a problem with other dry powders) and effectively blends in to even the darkest roots (my roots/natural hair is basically black). I greatly prefer this over aerosol dry shampoos and will definitely repurchase whenever I run out…. Which not sure when because this has already lasted months beyond expectation :)
A luxe unnecessary investment dependent on your relationship and value of your hair-do you care about its smell? Does your hair need extra care or would drugstore brand shampoos not mess up your hair? At $65 for the Ritual Shampoo & Conditioner, it can be a little much...but the scent and formula has definitely helped my hair, and dandruff doesn't form as easily in my hair. A few days later, my hair did feel dry and flat so be wary of how strong the formula is. Never in my life have I spent >$10 for a comb, however the Comb No. 001 priced at $42 is an investment, very durably made, comes in chic colorways, and can be stashed in your toiletries bag. Would love if there's a customization option like Emi Jay to add symbols or initials to the comb!! Warning: There is a $5 restocking fee applied when you make a return.

Make your shampoo and conditioner formulas less harsh! Also, why is the Shampoo 8.1 fl oz, but the Conditioner is 7.4 fl oz?
