Crown Affair Reviews

Best of Thingtesting4.6

Crown Affair earns largely positive reviews as a luxe, effective haircare brand with standout tools and treatments—especially The Towel, The Oil, the Leave-In Conditioner, Dry Shampoo powder, and boar-bristle brushes—while criticisms focus on strong fragrance for some, inconsistent results with certain formulas (e.g., mousse, dry shampoo for oily hair), and high prices. Reviews cite elevated packaging, thoughtful design, and long-lasting products, but note occasional issues like messy dry-shampoo packaging, brush cleaning, scent intensity, and a few durability concerns.

  • As someone who has recently started growing out his hair, I didn't realize what a difference having a nice comb makes. The quality feels so much nicer than what I was previously using (& anticipating), and after a few months of daily use, there has been no warping in the comb. The branding is coming off a bit, but that obviously doesn't affect the quality of the comb.

  • I used to think this brand was outrageously over priced hair care, but unfortunately for my wallet, everything I’ve tried from Crown Affair has been amazing. The clips hold my hair so well (the second row of clips on the inside really help), and the towel makes my hair dry quicker and keep it far more protected after showering. I also got a free travel size in my order so I’ll try that next. Can’t wait to see what else Crown Affair makes next!

  • I bought a bottle of the Signature Scent Hair Fragrance and it's become my go to scent lately. I have gotten many compliments on it. I love when my hair smells good, but not too overpowering. I only use 2-3 sprays per use, so the bottle will last me quite a while.

  • I’ve been using both the Crown Affair Leave-In Conditioner and the Finishing Spray, and my experiences with them have been very different. The Leave-In Conditioner has quickly become a staple for me. It’s lightweight, deeply hydrating, and leaves my hair feeling soft and healthy without weighing it down. It works well on its own and layers nicely with other products. I’ll absolutely continue to repurchase it. The Finishing Spray hasn’t been as strong a match for my hair type so far. I found it a bit sticky and heavier than expected, though I can see its potential and plan to keep experimenting with how I use it. I think it may work better with different application techniques or styling routines. Overall, the conditioner is a standout for me, and while the spray isn’t an immediate favorite, I’m open to continuing to work with it.
