Exfoliating is definitely new territory for me when it comes to skincare. I know that I have a lot of dead skin because when I showed I can easily get build-up off my body when I use my nails. But when I previously used a Korean bath washcloth for exfoliation, I found that it was too rough for my liking. I still wanted to try out Chelle Body's exfoliation kit because it promises to be like no other exfoliator. It does come with an exfoliator stone, which I had never tried. So I gave it a shot. I tried it a few days after I got my legs waxed since I know exfoliation is recommended after. I followed the instructions exactly as stated- I soaked myself for at least five minutes then got the exfoliator mitt wet and rubbed the stone on top. Unfortunately on my legs, despite some vigorous scrubbing, I did not see much rub off. But that's okay since I figure a lot of the dead skin was taken off when my legs were waxed. Next up I tried my arms, and after a bunch of scrubbing, I successfully saw buildup form! I experienced this all over the rest of my body as well which was good. Even if I didn't totally see the buildup that was removed, I could feel it. That being said, I do not know how much of this was due to just the mitt being rubbed on my skin vs adding the exfoliator stone to the mitt. I rubbed the stone onto the mitt several times and it almost felt like nothing was being done there. There was also the issue of the mitt not staying on my hand. I ended up just using it more as a washcloth than as a mitt, which I am sure is fine but was not the original intention with the design of the product. So at the moment, this product does work but I have limited experience with exfoliation. The package says to use the exfoliator weekly for best results, so I do plan to keep using it a few more times. Maybe the exfoliation will get easier and more successful with each use, but only time will tell for that!

I was really excited about this product since I recently got into exfoliation. However, this product was a major let-down, even for the price I purchased it at (I got it as a Thingdrop). The canvas mitt is nice and seems better for the planet than other exfoliating mitts, but the actual "body polish" really doesn't work at all. I waited until now to review because I was sure I was just doing it wrong, but now I know the reason no body polish comes off on the mitt when you rub it is because the polish hardens VERY quickly. It develops a hard outer coating when in contact with water, so nothing will come off unless you use your fingernails to literally scrape the coating off and then IMMEDIATELY rub it on your mitt. At least with exfoliating scrubs you get from the store, you feel like there's something happening and there is both a visible and tactile smoothness after.

Tried this off a recommendation from a friend. I've had annoying backne (irritating zits on my back around where my shoulder blades are) since I was a teen, but after the first 2-3 times I used Chelle, I noticed I stopped getting backne and all my old backne scars started fading. I now use it once or twice a week while I'm in the shower (I have time to kill anyway, since I have to let my hair mask sit in for 3 mins), which makes it super easy to do. I also love that you can literally see the dead skin being scrubbed off as you use the mitt. :)

Unfortunately I don't think the product worked as well as I hoped for. The little rock didn't exfoliate or do very much. The mitt was nice.

I really wanted to like this product but it just didn't work as well as I had hoped. The stone didn't transfer well to the mitt and the mitt itself kept sliding off my hand because it was, basically, just a little canvas bag. I only used it once and while I did notice slightly softer skin, I don't think it's worth the price. I will use it again but I wouldn't purchase it a second time.

The deep exfoliating kit felt a little lackluster to me. The mitt and the exfoliator stone just present as nothing particularly special, and I didn't get a very effective use out of it. You have to really grind the stone into the mitt in order to get any substance on there, and then rubbing the mitt on my skin, it was sort of hard to tell whether anything was happening. Maybe I needed to brush harder or longer? But it wasn't that enjoyable of an experience. I prefer an exfoliating bar.

Tablets got used up really quickly although I did like the exfoliation, it just felt almost like a one-use type of thing.

Prior to chelle i was using a wash cloth from Onsen and body wash, I will going back to that process. The chelle mit is no more than a soft canvas bag and I do not understand the value of the tablet thing. I say save your money.

The exfoliating stone doesn't seem to transfer to the mitt no matter how long or hard you rub it against the mitt. It is very much like a polished piece of limestone. As a test, I used the mitt with and without rubbing the stone against it and didn't noticed a difference. The mitt is nice, made out of a thick muslin-like canvas but it's not worth $30. I think there are better exfoliating mitts out there.

The product was fine, not anything great. I had done some research on the website prior to using it, so I understood the process & found it easy to use. Just not sure it did anything. One "exfoliating stone" only lasting for eight uses doesn't sound incredibly beneficial to the user. I will however be keeping the mitt. Even at that I believe there are better exfoliators out there, and wouldn't recommend this product to anyone.

Really wanted to like this product, but as other reviewers has mentioned, it misses the mark a bit. I found rubbing the stone on the mitt to be a little weird and I felt like the stone was more to create the appearance that dead skin was coming off with the mitt. Also didn't love the storage method, the canvas feels a little unhygienic to store in the shower. I can't help but compare the experience to the cheapie Korean scrub cloths-- this set definitely feels more upscale, but I love the longer length (easier to get your back!) and satisfying scratchy feeling of those clothes over the chelle. Fun to try, but don't think I'll repurchase.

Really wanted to love this! Packaging and branding was cute. However, the clay pod crumbled into a bunch of pieces and it was very difficult to add product to the mitt. Spent a lot of time on this. Not sure if it did much in the end.

I love everything about this product! It's cutting down on extra plastic use. The packaging is also minimalist and amazing. I love the background of the brand too!

Didn't see much of an effect after using it for several weeks, but maybe that's due to user error. I tried following the instructions on the packaging, but it took a lot of effort to get the exfoliating stone onto the mitt. If I'm in a rush, I'll just use soap with the mitt. However, when I'm able to use the exfoliating stone, I usually see some bits rub off my skin, suggesting that it's working, but I haven't noticed any huge differences.

This product, unfortunately, does not work. First, the canvas bag is really strange and I think there are probably 3-5 different ways they could have created a mitt that didn’t involve just sending a bag. The exfoliation block didn’t break up either, I spent probably 2 min of the shower trying to get it to break up to use and it held firm. I even tried to just lightly rub it directly on my body and still didn’t get much of an exfoliation.

unfortunately disappointed that this didn't work the way it claims. I already use an exfoliating korean washcloth that you can get from the grocery store and it doesn't even compare. I really appreciate that they're trying to be eco-friendly but it feels more of a pain to keep the stone dry and then rub the mitt on the stone to exfoliate when I can use the green washcloth that does a better job.

Ok I think this was just user error on my end. Hard a hard time getting the product to work, or knowing if it was working. The bar broke up and ended up using all of it in one use.

The packaging is lovely and it sat happily in my bathroom unopened for a few weeks. I didn't know what to expect, but it was not a canvas mitt and a hard stone. I tried it on my legs and didn't really notice any difference. I think mostly the exfoliation was from the mitt? How much product should I use? I found the whole thing confusing. I'm also not sure what I'm supposed to do with the mitt in between uses. Should I toss it in the washer? Hang it to dry? Too many questions for a "simple" product.

I am not the biggest fan of this kit. I have small hands and had a really hard time figuring out how to use the 'mit' with the tab, it kept falling off my hand, it just felt weird rubbing a grocery bag on my body too. I will be going back to my exfoliator mit from another company.

I got the exfoliation kit. The mitt felt like a burlap sack. The tablet didn't soften, it just fully crumbled, leaving me with an even worse second use. When exfoliating, I couldn't distinguish between the product residue and its should be effects.
