Reviews mention

  • Lightweight, non-greasy formulas
  • Even, ultra-fine spray mist
  • Pleasant, nostalgic beachy scent
  • Sheer, no white-cast application
  • Strong, lingering fragrance scent
  • Occasional runny, sticky texture
  • Inconsistent spray nozzle ergonomics

Bask Suncare earns strong reviews for effective UV protection that doesn’t feel greasy, with a sheer, lightweight finish, a fine non‑aerosol mist, and a nostalgic coconut‑vanilla scent; many report no burning during intense sun exposure. Reviews also flag drawbacks: the fragrance can be strong or lingering, occasional stickiness or runny texture, sporadic skin irritation, uneven spray/pressure and fast‑emptying cans, plus a lotion that may feel heavy on oily skin or show slight white cast on deeper tones.

  • Okay, so I tried Bask Suncare and wow, it's a game-changer. This stuff? Super light and not greasy at all. It just glides on and absorbs like magic. Feels more like a fancy moisturizer than a sunscreen. And the smell, it's just right. Not too strong, not too... sunscreen-y, you know? And it works great, keeps my skin safe from the sun whether I'm at the beach or just out and about. Plus, it's awesome for all skin types and sits well under makeup, no mess. So yeah, if you're on the hunt for a sunscreen that's protective but also feels super nice, Bask Suncare is the way to go. Trust me, you'll love it!

  • I have the SPF 30 lotion. It's light weight and blends in easily. Doesn't make me feel greasy or leave a white cast. It also smells really nice. It's also cruelty free and reef safe. I mainly use it on my face, but can be used on body too, but it's a pretty small size for that.

  • LOVE this sunscreen. Non-toxic, non-aerosol, and a great price for the value. Highly recommend, it's my go to sunscreen now.

  • Fantastic! Spray and lotion were both great for my kids and me. I will definitely re-up for next summer.

  • Let's be real - we all wanna know how Bask stacks up against Vacation. The bask lotion rubs in easier than the vacation one and maybe a little less greasy. The smell is pleasant but not as nostalgia-inducing as vacation. The spray works great and absorbs quickly, although a bit more greasy while drying. Very comparable between both brands. I spent all day in the sun and didn't get burned, so I'd say it did the trick!

  • Sprays evenly and didn't get a sunburn after a long day at the beach, so I think it's safe to say it works well! The branding is 10/10. I felt like the cool girl in the friend group when taking this out of my beach bag. Some of my friends (Who are VERY serious with their SPF) didn't want to try it because they're just comfortable using a higher SPF. Typically after spf 50+ there's little to no difference in how much it's protecting you, but, to each their own.

  • Good sunscreen, pleasant smell that is not too strong or too beachy. The spray doesn’t give you great coverage, I would only use it for reapplications. The lotion applies smoothly without leaving a white cast, not too greasy.

  • i prefer spray sunscreen and the bask one (spf 50) is fantastic! i love that it's reef-safe and sprays on evenly + has a wide nozzle. it's on the pricier end, but since it's sustainably made and donates to a non-profit, the price is worth it. has a light vanilla scent that's reminiscent of poolside summers :') i have oilier skin and i wouldn't recommend using the lotion one for the face since it's a bit too thick and doesn't dry down matte. there's also a slight white cast that's noticeable on darker skin tones.

  • Works well, but the best part for me (aside from the cute packaging) is the scent. Theres a soft almost cooked-rice smell on the drydown, which is weirdly comforting and also much preferable to some other sunscreens intense coconut or chemical scents. I feel like I can apply this in public without gagging everyone in a 50 foot radius, which makes it the most practical option I have found for locations that arent the pool or beach. The mist gives a nice fine spray that seems to offer good coverage. Im a big fan.

  • The sunscreen works so well on my skin. Go to the beach and my skin does not even have a sunburn.

  • I LOVE this sunscreen. Light feel and has a strong sunscreen scent - which is not a read in anyway. I absolutely adore the smell of a good sunscreen. It makes me feel like I'm in Puerto Vallarta in the '80s. And, aren't we all trying to be in Puerto Vallarta in 1989?

  • The liquid sunscreen is very lightweight & leaves no white cast which is what I was most concerned about. I'm pretty good about reapplying & was able to fight the UV another day. Only thing is that it has that sort of sweet plastic-y smell you get from most sunscreens. I have yet to use the spray but I'm delighted to know that it is a non-aerosol spray!! I've never heard of that before but excited to hear that's a viable option now bc I love my spray sunscreens but not at the expense of our earth :)

  • Wore this every day for 2 weeks in the 100+ degree weather in Israel where my even phone warned me UV levels were "extreme" — and never once burned! I love how it goes on light and non-oily, and it doesn't have that weird sunscreen smell. And it's good for the planet, AND has good branding, so Bask gets an A+ from me.

  • Fantastic product precisely as described ("lightweight, non-oily, easy to apply") and we love the all-natural ingredients. We use a lot of sunscreen as a family (a bunch of pale-skin gingers and a lifeguard!) and so we're sensitive to product quality. Everyone loved this one!

  • I am super picky about skincare, especially suncare. Bask knocked it out on texture, scent, and protection

  • 12/3/2023 update i very much appreciate how quick and efficiently the company remedied my concerns and sent me two new sunscreens, that makes me believe that my initial experience was a fluke and i feel secure in purchasing from this company again in the future. *10/26/2023 Update* I received my sunscreen on the last day of June and noticed today that it's starting to show signs of splitting which worries me that the formula is destabilized and not as effective anymore which is a disappointment. I understand sunscreen expires but three months seems quicker than normal. I've change my rating from 5 to 2 stars. ✨☀️🍋🌈 Bask Feel Good Bundle SPF 50 🌈🍋☀️✨ Everything I want from a classic sunscreen with US UV filters. When I don't want to deal with trying to minimize the whitecast from Euro and Asian sunscreen filters, this is an excellent dependable option. I don't find the fragrance cloying even though I don't gravitate towards scented skincare.

  • Used this sunscreen in really intense sun in France for a week and didn't get sunburnt! Aka it was effective. Also smelled nice, wasn't greasy and didn't make me breakout.

  • I can never try enough sunscreens, so was pumped for this Thingdrop! I like that both the sun cream and spray have a nostalgic, beachy smell to them. I found the cream easy to apply to my face without a white cast. It did leave my face a bit greasy at first, so I will probably reserve it for days when I'm going to be in a lot of sun (versus in the office). The spray saved my butt this past weekend when I went to the pool for several hours. I was in and out of the water and was pretty nervous about coming home with a burn, but I didn't even get red. My friend who was with me (and also burns easily) used a different spray and got burned, so I do credit Bask for keeping me safe and comfortable this weekend. Again, a bit of a greasy feel which I've found in all spray sunscreens, but the spray was very smooth and easy to spray all over (didn't need a friend to get my back for me, for example). Will definitely repurchase at least the spray as my new outdoor body sunscreen!

  • The spray sunscreen is probably the best I have ever used. It dries almost on application and does not leave an oily residue.
