Bask Suncare earns strong reviews for effective UV protection that doesn’t feel greasy, with a sheer, lightweight finish, a fine non‑aerosol mist, and a nostalgic coconut‑vanilla scent; many report no burning during intense sun exposure. Reviews also flag drawbacks: the fragrance can be strong or lingering, occasional stickiness or runny texture, sporadic skin irritation, uneven spray/pressure and fast‑emptying cans, plus a lotion that may feel heavy on oily skin or show slight white cast on deeper tones.
AI summary based on Thingtesting reviews
I’ve tried a lot of sunscreens over the years, and Bask Suncare genuinely stands out. First off, the packaging is bright, fun, and feels like summer in a bottle – which honestly just makes me want to use it more. But what really matters is how it performs.

I love the bask sunscreen I would say for some reason I feel like the 30 SPF always feels less runny then the 50 though. It also has a pleasant almost slight banana smell. :)
I was gifted the sunscreen, and I really enjoyed it. My favorite was the body mister that you can spray all over your body and the packaging is also really nice!
I am a big big fan of this sunscreen. The description is entirely accurate - it's very lightweight and not at all oily. The smell is incredibly pleasant (I think coconut) and doesn't linger. The packaging is on point as well! It is not cheap but a fun fact - you can use your HSA/FSA toward this! I will definitely keep buying Bask and will recommend to anyone. Skincare and suncare is incredibly important to me and I really appreciate finding a brand like Bask!

Bask made me enjoy putting on sunscreen. I tried the bundle which included the lotion and the spray. The spray bottle was weirdly difficult to press down on, especially once my hands were already covered in sunscreen. The lotion was incredible and smelled SO GOOD - it rubbed in easily and no white cast for me at all. I did not use Bask on my face because I am slightly hesitant about using something other than my standard face sunscreen. Unfortunately, the price point is where I have issues. Living on the west coast, I go through sunscreen very quickly, especially with all of the reapplications. For $22, you get 3.4 ounces of sunscreen and I could probably get a better deal elsewhere. I do like that it's TSA friendly, but I wish they had different sizes. Also, I wish it was more readily available in stores.

I really like what Bask stands for and the products are great. I enjoy the lotion and spray; both very easy to rub in.

I got the Thingdrop discounted pack of the spray and lotion in SPF 50. Even at full price, this pretty sunscreen doesn't break the bank. It is effective, spreads well, and has a great mission - reef-friendly, non-aerosol sunscreen with no white cast. It also has a shelf life of THREE YEARS, which is longer than most sunscreens and we all know how we never use up the full bottle by the time summer is over. I also appreciate the donating to nonprofits aspect of Bask. The sunscreen packaging also looks great with its attractive, clean graphics and colors. The sunscreen itself has a pretty intense smell - it's a classic sunscreen smell, so if you like that then you'll like this. I am pretty sensitive to scents both skin-wise and nose-wise, so I usually opt for unscented formulas. This hasn't made me break out, but I do find myself reaching more for my Summer Camp sunscreen because of the strong smell. The lotion formulation is very easily spreadable, and the spray goes pretty far. I do have to say that it is a bit sticky and greasy/oily (another reason why I tend to reach more for Summer Camp). It's definitely still not as sticky and greasy as sunscreens from years prior. I would definitely still recommend this and I would purchase it again when I need a new sunscreen! UPDATE August 2023: I'm reaching the bottom of my Summer Camp sunscreen, and it's giving a horrendous white cast. Maybe I didn't shake the bottle enough per use, but I'm now reaching for my Bask sunscreen consistently. I wish I could give it 4.5 stars, the minus .5 stars is still for the scent. It's definitely the best sunscreen I've tried from the USA, given the U.S. FDA's limitations on sunscreens!

Thought the product was lovely! I packed both for a long weekend in Miami and as a very very pale girl, I'm happy to say I didn't get burned at all. I had a spray tan on so I used the spray (since lotion sunscreens can often fade your tan faster) and it didn't remove my tan which was great. I've used the lotion version at home when playing tennis outdoors for several hours at a time and also didn't get burned then - I reapplied after about 90 minutes.

okay first things first, I don't know if I would of bought this to try on my own if it wasn't for thing testing, and when I saw the drop, I instantly snagged one for myself. I thought this wouldn't blow my mind because no way could it be worth the price tag, but let me tell you IT IS. This is the best sunscreen I have ever used. It actually has helped my skin clear up, and did not irritate it at all. My skin looked amazing, and I loved wearing this under makeup, and on its own. I would defiantly invest in repurchasing this. Also, there customer service was amazing!

I'm generally a tried-and-true Neutrogena girl who isn't usually looking for new sun care brands, but Bask has been worth straying from my go-to for. Most importantly, the sunscreen works and is as advertised: non-oily and easy to apply, especially the non-aerosol spray. As a solo beachgoer, it's very important to me to be able to spray my back and get some of the harder-to-reach spots without another person around to help. The sunscreen smells nice, but it's not a product that's defined by its scent, unlike some of the other sunscreens out there. I'd much rather the product work and feel good on my body. I love the company's mission and the care they've taken to create an intentional product that's also fun to use. I ultimately feel great using this product, it sits well on my skin and is beautifully packaged. I don't think I will repurchase this at full price, but it looks like they have some bundles that might be worth picking up.

Super enjoyable aroma and feels barely there compared to so many other brands. I have zero trouble encouraging folks to try this!

This sunscreen was great! I received the lotion type and it wasn't greasy at all. I loved that it shipped with recyclable materials and if I remember correctly. Definitely will be repurchasing for next summer!
Great sunscreen!

I got the 50 spf as a thingdrop discount and love it. It smells great and not too strong or sunscreen-y smelling. It worked well and kept me from getting burned over the summer without feeling greasy. Overall it did what sunscreen is meant to do but with a cuter packaging and smell. I also loved that it was better for the reefs, which is pretty important to me considering the world we live in. I didn't test this over more than a few hours for re application or water but I really liked it for what it was.

Easy application, no white cast (I'm a brown person), and very light! Most importantly, I had significantly reduced sunburn than what I was used to/expecting on a week long vacation in the sun and water -- amazing! Only significant downside is that it's not a mineral sunscreen so not as reef-friendly as they claim.
