West Elm is a go to spot for home goods. Anytime some gifts me a west elm item I’m a happy camper - really can’t go wrong.

Lots of MDF and particle board n the mix, but West Elm produces pieces that continue to look good for years after you buy them, and they're good quality. The pieces only don't look good when they are styled exactly as they are on the showroom/in the catalogue, in which instance they look soulless.

Nice designs but poor quality and poor materials.

I love everything I've bought here! I do try to shop the sales because it can get a bit pricy. My couch is green velvet and has held up beautifully in a hectic dog-filled home!

My husband and I can always find something that works for our home or office at West Elm. It's definitely a little more staid in it's styling but great for something understated that just needs to incorporate into your existing space.

Great products but the customer support and service is AWFUL! I had a table that I bought on a Labor Day sale and it took a year to arrive but then there were issues and they had to cancel the order and then tried to get me to re-order paying full price and not honoring the sale price. I had to fight with them for an hour on the phone as they were basically scamming me into rebuying the same thing for hundreds of dollars more. Also the table arrived broken 3 times so there’s that…

I honestly think West Elm has medium quality for the price. Some things are great and others are terrible. It’s hit or miss. I have a bath mat that’s good but then I got a pouf and it’s terrible. I think there are better options out there.

Their products are hit or miss. If you have an outlet available, start there first! I have a couch - first year in, massive dip in the middle, and tons of pilling. Their smaller home goods are more reliable. I purchased two media consoles the same time as the couch, and their quality is much better. The white glove shipping service was adequate and quick.

I got a West Elm couch over the summer, and had an excellent in store experience with one of their consultants. They let me try out a couch in the back that was similar to the one we were getting. When we got the couch, it was just like the picture online, and once we sat on it a couple times, it became soft and comfortable.

I mean, who doesn’t love West Elm, but the price could be more reasonable. I have a West Elm dresser. I did get this from an outlet and I got it for an affordable price, which is why I genuinely really love it because I know what I paid for it. I also did get our leather couch from a West elm outlet and we love it. We got it for $250 brand new and it has lasted a long time!

Decent quality. Not cheap. Attractive. Basics and more on-trend. I’ve bought rugs, pillows/decor, marble-topped wood pieces, entertainment center. They don’t always keep the lines so if you buy an entertainment center and later want the matching bookcase, it may not be available.

Hit and miss. I love their linen sheets, and have a floor lamp and some kitchen canisters that are absolutely gorgeous. I had an awful experience with a lounge chair that started to break down a couple of years ago, and even though only a little over a month had gone by since purchase, they wouldn’t issue a refund. So I’d say beware with anything upholstered.

I have purchased bedding, two bed frames, a night table, dishes, dining chairs, a bench, and two rugs from WE over the years. I love the design and feel of their things. Their shipping is SLOW, and generally their quality is good. I was really disappointed in the rugs. They left a lot of lint and one of them started coming apart with in the first 4-5 months, I contacted WE and they apologized profusely but refused to let me return the rugs because it was beyond their return window. I would have thought the longevity of an expensive wool rug would be more than that. Because of this I will not purchase from WE again because I don’t trust that they will stand behind their furniture (and rugs). They clearly lost a good customer over this.

If I was rich, I'd be fully furnishing my house with West Elm! Love the design and feel of their products.

Generally beautiful furniture, but overpriced for the quality. I highly recommend shopping their sales only! The show rooms typically have good sale items, especially rugs. If you can find the deal, its worth it.

I love West Elm, but sometimes the quality of products isn't on par with pricing. I've had a lot of products come damaged and it took forever to get support to fix the problem.

Love the furniture. We have a couple pieces our house and they fit right in. The couches are very comfortable and the dining table looks amazing.
