  • Good taste and love that it's sweetened with glyemic-index friendly monkfruit instead of artificial sweeteners. The taste and consitency is similar to what I get blending coconutmilk powder and cerimonial grade matcha at home + adding some lakanto powder. So, could you make this at home for less money? Yes. But is it a nice, energizing clean drink for both warm and cold weather? Also yes :)

  • I tried the oat milk latte, and really enjoyed it. I poured it over ice and it had a nice smooth texture and mildly sweet coffee taste. I'd buy this again, but I didn't actually notice any productivity improvement from the adaptogens.

  • Good taste. A little too sweet for my liking. Had a bit of a strange texture.

  • Overall the taste was OK. The texture was a little bit weird for me since it seemed the gum was a little bit solidified in the can. The price was also a little bit steep. I think there are better nondairy latte options out there personally

  • I have wanted to test Taika for a while, so I took advantage of the "try new things" offer. As much as I like the packaging and flavor ideas, I did not like this product very much. I tried the oat milk latte, and while it was much better than the only other adaptogen coffee drink I've had, it still had somewhat of a sour, chemical-y taste and a rather thin mouthfeel. The amount of sweetness was good, but the overall flavor means I will not purchase this product again.

  • I tried the Matcha Latte and I thought it had good flavor, but I didn't get much of a caffeine boost from it and subsequently had to follow up with a latte to get my caffeine for the day. Would love this more if it had more of a caffeine boost and was stocked at more stores!

  • bad taste and texture, would rather order a matcha latte from any cafe.

  • I am a drink lover, matcha, coffee, probiotic sodas— anything to perk up my day. I like the idea and packaging of taika, the flavors sound really good and healthy. I tried the regular matcha and my first thought was hmm if I got this at a cafe, I would be slightly confused but finish drinking it anyway. I think the flavor was slightly murky for lack of better words because of the milk used? I also prefer my matcha sweeter.

  • I used the Thingtesting discount to get a can and ended up buying another can at full price. I tried the Matcha Latte and the Mocha Latte. For both flavors, here is a big fake sugar aftertaste that I assume is from the monk fruit. They do advertise as "Zero Sugar" on the can, so just to let you know that the sweetness comes from monk fruit. The Mocha Latte was weirdly chunky but they're just chunks of the chocolate. (It was not expired and I did shake well.) I appreciate that they use ceremonial-grade matcha for the Matcha Latte, but the matcha taste is really masked. It's also more bitter than is normal. The macadamia milk is pretty good though! Really makes the drinks creamy and love that it's lactose-free. I'm not sure about all the adaptogens/their efficacy and I feel like they definitely drive up the price. Taste-wise they're both ok and a nice pick-me-up. The can is very attractive, but I hate the plastic sleeve. I know that's pretty standard, but wish there was more thought put into the sustainability aspect of new products.

  • This coffee was pretty good overall, but it was a little chunky since I guess I didn’t shake it up enough. I ended up, pouring it out of the can and stirring it with my coffee frother. The flavor over was pretty good and it didn’t make me too jittery.

  • I grabbed a Taika at local bodega and I was pleasantly surprised, but not wowed. I would definitely pick one up again, but the adaptogens, etc. feel like a gimmick. I think of it more as a tasty iced coffee in a can

  • Taika is amazing! I love how their drinks contain MCT oil and adaptogens with no added sugars. The macadamia nut latte is so delicious and feels like a special treat to drink!

  • I was really excited to try this, and initially the taste was good but there was a strange almost plastic aftertaste. Additionally, there were weird chunks in it—almost like curdled milk—when I poured it into a glass. Not my favorite product to caffeinated, and I would be interested to try the other flavors and see if those are any better.

  • Good soft flavor- it's subtle, not overpowering. Not sweet (this is a good thing). Caffeine level seems good.

If it we're 15-20% cheaper (and I'm not talking about going the subscription route), would be great.

  • I tried Mateverse. A refreshing tea in a good size with a cute can. I likely won't be ordering online but I would purchase again if I saw out in the wild!

Their shipping was delayed but the were communicative and offered a discount code for future orders.

  • I am not sure that the Taika's Metaverse product is really for me. I just couldn't get past an "off putting" taste. I honestly thought I was testing one of the other coffee products offered and may try one of those in the future.

  • This review is only for Taika's Metaverse product. I really wanted to (and thought I would) like it but I couldn't get past the fake sugar taste. I tried 3 separate cans on 3 separate days and had to dump each one. I was thinking that I'd try their other coffee products but realized that they all have sugar substitutes as well so I probably won't. If you don't mind the sugar sub taste creeping in then I'd guess you'd like these but I can't stand that flavor so it's a no-go for me. On the plus side, good ingredients & cute packaging.

    Taste.

  • The packaging is cool and the thought behind it is something I can definitely get behind. The idea that it's caffinated but won't give you the afternoon slump is something I enjoy. However the mateverse flavor is not for me. It tastes like a malt iced tea and I personally hate the tastes of those drinks.

    Feedback

All 3 of my cans were dented. I'm not sure if this is a packing/warehouse/delivery issue but I did find it odd that each one was dented.

  • I loved the flavor and would have given 5 stars for just that, but the ingredients and caffeine effecf takes me to a 4. I like that they use monkfruit and avoid sugar, but it does have suntlower oil and some gums. Considering the knockout flavor I might be willing to get this pricey little can, every now and again. The caffeine experience was mild. I actually fell asleep shortly after consuming rhe beverage, I am a regular coffee drinker so take with a grain of salt. Thank you Taika!
