Reviews mention

  • Noticeable de-bloating effects
  • Consistent digestive regularity support
  • Science-forward, credible formulation
  • Elegant eco-friendly packaging
  • Occasional nausea and stomach pain
  • Inconsistent results across bodies
  • Large capsules, difficult swallowing
  • Fragile glass travel vial

Seed earns polarized reviews: many users report that DS-01 and the 14-Day Gut Reset reduce bloating, improve regularity, and even support skin and mood, while others feel no effect or experience nausea, rashes, constipation, or worsening bloating. Reviews also praise Seed’s science-forward approach and elegant, eco-friendly glass-and-refill packaging, but call out capsule size, glass travel vial fragility, and mixed tolerability; some question transparency and a few cite aggressive subscription practices.

  • It’s pricey but it works. And of all the required product subscription services (don’t love the model), this one is at least relatively easy to manage with their early email notifications. I’ve been a consistent consumer since May 2023.

  • Just started using Seed and have generally felt better so far. Never sure if that is a placebo effect or what but I plan to continue to use them. From my research this brand seemed like the best fit for me compared to other supplement brands.

  • Both my GP and my dermatologist recommended that I take a probiotic, and I chose Seed after reading user reviews. I notice a difference in the clarity/tone/hydration of my skin when I stop or forget taking these. Love them as a general health benefit and skin booster.

  • Changed my digestive system for good. The only supplement that I have sworn by for 5 years.

  • I have tried many probiotics, and I usually am consistent for 3 months to make my judgment. By far the best on the market. I actually feel a difference when I am taking them vs. when I am not. Plus, the packaging is cute, the travel bottle helps a bunch, and I just signed up for cost effective shipping meaning I get them quarterly rather than every month. I think that is such a great option!!!

  • Seed provides lots of science backed data to show how strong and unique their probiotic is. While this may be true, I don't believe that all of it is truly necessary. Many customers are purchasing because they know probiotics are good for them and see influencers taking the aesthetic seed capsules. Personally, I only gave it a try after receiving a 60% off coupon and will stick with my Costco probiotics.

  • It's hard to actually know for sure how good a probiotic is, but I trust Seed a lot. They have awesome educational programming and content, the packaging and refill experience is world class (they were some of the first to ever really use mycelium in their packaging as a means of making it zero waste) and they've got that probiotic swagu.

  • I think I'm in the minority here, but the only differences I noticed were negative. If I waited too long in between taking Seed and eating a meal (30+ minutes), I would start getting nauseous. Otherwise, this did nothing for my digestion. Granted, I eat plant-forward meals and assume that my gut microbiome is already in decent shape. However, +1 point for eco-friendly packaging and killer branding.

The nausea was a bit suspect...

  • Love it! It’s the perfect probiotic. I’ve been taking for about a year and noticed such a difference in my body.

  • One of THE BEST pre + pro-biotics out there! They call it a synbiotic, and all parts of the product are key in the formulation and delivery of the bacteria to the most important part of our GI tract - the colon. They can say with confidence that their product doesn't destroy or degrade the exposure of the bacteria in the stomach or the duodenum, rather reaches the colon safely. Even the outer capsule (green) is used as a pre-biotic derived from pomegranate. As a pharmacist, I really like the design of the product for delivery of the most evidence-based bacteria. As an environmentalist, I really love the mission of the company and how it is using the science and sustainability including their full attention to the packaging. Efficacy: within 3-5 days of taking this product, it significantly reduced gas as well as the odor. With sustained use of the product, regularity to bowel movements is restored. Partnership: they partner with healthcare providers with easy to use discount code for patients and family members for ordering the product.

The cost of the product and more clinical trials with people who have specific medical conditions (e.g. SIBO, IBD, IBS, celiac, etc.) Subscription: slightly complicated to navigate website and make changes. Price point needs to come down to about $30/month

  • Seed is nothing short of amazing. From their branding to the product quality, every detail is meticulously crafted. The branding is sleek and modern, reflecting the innovative nature of their offerings. Seed sets a high standard in the industry, combining science and style seamlessly.

  • I've been taking these for about 2 months or so now and really loving them! I feel like they have helped me become more regular and less bloated which is huge for me! So far I do think they're worth the money. The packaging and everything is nice too which is an added bonus.

  • I like the idea but didn’t feel like it made any difference. I have a feeling this is a marketing gimmick

  • Ive been using their probiotic for a few years. I can't say that I notice anything major, but I believe their claims because they're backed up by so much science and clinicals. I *love* that their refills ship in compostable baggies and the glass jar/travel jar are so chic.

  • I love Seed. I wasn't expecting to be wowed but I am. First of all, love the sleek design of the packaging and the product. My body feels so good on Seed. TMI but everything is so regular lol. I also love how sustainable the packaging is. Almost everything is compostable or recyclable. Update: I’ve been taking Seed for a year and it’s still great I love it.

  • Solid product, thoughtfully packaged and delivered. Love the reusable glass containers and the biological effects as well. Wish it were a bit more affordable given the long-term requirements to an ongoing effect.

    Less expensive execution...

  • Seed is the only supplement that I have consistently stuck with since I started taking it. I appreciate the science and backing behind the product which makes it stand out in the sea of supplements that feel like mostly marketing. Packaging stands out here as well, as the first box comes with a mycelium packing foam, and refills come just in a mailer and get emptied into the reusable glass jar. I believe that seed has impacted my skin and gut significantly, and will continue to take them!

  • Just 3 days after taking Seed I stopped feeling bloated and a lot of general inflammation and puffiness I've experienced has gone away. My allergies just stopped along with a chronic cough I had for months. I feel so much better and this is the only thing I changed in the past few months. My overall health is a night and day difference.
