Reviews mention

  • Noticeable de-bloating effects
  • Consistent digestive regularity support
  • Science-forward, credible formulation
  • Elegant eco-friendly packaging
  • Occasional nausea and stomach pain
  • Inconsistent results across bodies
  • Large capsules, difficult swallowing
  • Fragile glass travel vial

Seed earns polarized reviews: many users report that DS-01 and the 14-Day Gut Reset reduce bloating, improve regularity, and even support skin and mood, while others feel no effect or experience nausea, rashes, constipation, or worsening bloating. Reviews also praise Seed’s science-forward approach and elegant, eco-friendly glass-and-refill packaging, but call out capsule size, glass travel vial fragility, and mixed tolerability; some question transparency and a few cite aggressive subscription practices.

  • Beautiful packaging, eco friendly jars. I haven’t been on these long enough to speak to their effectiveness, but the science behind it available on their website makes it worth a try. The capsule in capsule form ensures better absorption by the body. The jars are glass and the refill pouches are compostable. All packaging is fully biodegradable, an absolute win for everyone.

  • I just today got diagnosed with deep endometriosis and I’ve been having severe abdominal pain behind my belly button. I also discovered a lump behind my belly button. I’ve tried so many different probiotics which none have helped. I just took my first pill of this one and I can’t wait to see the full results and to see if the brand SEED is the right choice for me and my body needs. I’ve heard this probiotic helps decrease bloating so much. I am also completely getting off ozempic after being on it for 3 years now.

  • I like the mission of this product but I’m not sure if I saw much improvement after my subscription for 3-4 months. Opted to try another OTC pre/probiotic blend that was cheaper. Maybe others feel differently. Would be willing to try again!

  • I wanted to like this product but unfortunately, I didn't feel or see a difference and I finished the bottle. It gets great reviews, overall. I don't dislike the product or brand but I do believe everyone reacts differently to different products like this one. For anyone on the fence, I would go ahead and try it. It might work for you!

  • This is fine. It’s in a similar price point as competitors I’ve used- Ritual and Thorne. As far as these higher end probiotics go I think it’s worth trying if you’re in the market. I prefer the other two options for myself but I can see this working for some people. I like the way ritual is encased in peppermint oil (though too much plastic in the bottle) and I like how Thorne is a powder like a little pixie stick treat. I can’t really speak to effectiveness, so hard to say. Both Thorne and Ritual are also pre-, pro-, and post-biotic where Seed is pre- and probiotic only. The green glass jars are lovely but for now Seed has not persuaded me away from Thorne complete biotic. It’s a strong contender and I didn’t have any problems with it so thus 4 stars.

  • This is one of those supplements I barely think about anymore because it just quietly does its thing. I take Seed DS 01 every morning with breakfast and it feels like giving my gut a little head start for the day. What I like is that it never makes my stomach feel weird or bloated, which has definitely happened to me with other probiotics. Everything just feels more even and predictable, especially after meals that would normally have me feeling uncomfortable or off. It is not some dramatic overnight fix, but more like things slowly start feeling calmer and less reactive over time. I also love that there is no aftertaste or upset feeling, it just feels easy to stick with. I still pay attention to what I eat and stress levels, but this feels like a solid baseline that helps keep things from going off the rails. It is one of those boring but good habits that you only notice when you stop taking it.

  • Sleep supplements are hit or miss for me but this one actually works. I fall asleep faster and wake up feeling rested instead of groggy. The fact that it supports restoration overnight, not just sleep onset, is what sets it apart. One capsule, no weird aftertaste, no next day fog. Will repurchase.

  • I have just passed my first 10 days with seed and so far so good! No major tummy troubles or major issues with the transition and I am starting to notice even more consistency with potty times and potty events. I think it’s at least a 2 month process, but pleased with the first week and change!

  • After trying quite a few probiotics over the years, Seed DS-01 has quickly become a favorite. I’ve been taking it for just under a month and I’m already feeling less bloated, more regular, and generally better after meals — with no stomach discomfort at all. The capsules are easy to take, completely shelf-stable, and vegan, which I really appreciate. I’ve had bad experiences with cramping from other probiotics, so the fact that this one feels gentle has been a huge plus. I added the DM-02 Daily Multivitamin to my routine as well, and together they feel like a really well-rounded daily foundation. I like knowing I’m supporting my gut while also filling in nutrient gaps without needing a handful of supplements. I’m committed to giving this the full three months to see maximum benefits, but early results have been very promising and I’m excited to keep going.

  • I've been using Seed for maybe 8 years now? I love the packaging, the simplicity of the subscription, and it works! My tummy is quite happy with it. If I miss a dose, I can feel it. Have definitely recommended to friends and family!

  • I ordered from this company for a while and it was pretty good. Then I was billed for an order that never showed up….when I sent a email to them they apologized and sent me a replacement order and it came completely smashed open with empty capsules and all of the materials in dust in the package. I canceled my order. Waste of money. Because I sent this in, I’m sure I’ll get a hey sorry to hear you didn’t like our product. We’d like to make it better for you….. save your ink!

  • Produto incrível, eu realmente estou vendo mudanças absurda depois que comecei a utilizar o suplemento, estou muito surpreso positivamente com a marca e sem dúvidas continuarei a usá-la por muito mais tempo

  • I took seed for many years and it helped significantly with sibo and ibs symptoms. Currently doing a sibo protocol and plan to start taking seed again after the kill phase. Love all the research they do into the probiotic strains. Initially learned of this brand through functional medicine practitioner Chris Kresser.

  • The supplement itself is fine, but the packaging is absurd—especially for a product promoted as good for planetary health. The box and heft jars are far more packaging than is needed to hold these probiotics. Their "Sustainability" page is mostly fluff and reflects greenwashing. The solution is simply to use LESS PACKAGING.

  • I've been u singfor 2 months now and its been a game changer for me. I have alway had issues with pooping and I am daily now. I had some shipment issues that first month but was helped over and beyond.

  • I’ve tried a lot of probiotics and Seed is one of the few that actually feels legit imo. After a couple weeks,my digestion felt noticeably more regular and less angry/reactive. Less bloating, fewer random stomach issues, and more regular. I also appreciate how much research they seem to do! And also that it's not sugary, because i'm trying to remove sugar from my diet. Everything overall seems very well thought-through. I'm a fan and am going to keep using it!

  • I was scrolling through this site and saw that Seed was on here and had to share my experience. A few months ago, I bought their Daily Synbiotic hoping to switch from the generic, drugstore probiotic I previously used. I followed the directions: start by taking one capsule for three days and then move up to two after that. I am aware that taking a probiotic can cause some gastrointestinal discomfort and other symptoms like constipation for the first week or so, so I wasn't too worried when that started happening with Seed. However, two and a half weeks in and the pain not only didn't subside, but actively got worse. I experienced stabbing pains in my lower abdomen, constipation, and nausea. Wanting to give it a good shot, I finished the container, but the symptoms did not get better for about two weeks after the last capsules. My advice? Save your money and go for the tried and true drugstore brands. Fancy packaging and a higher price tag do not a good supplement make.

  • Obsessed. I am always upset when I forget to take my seed first thing in the morning! It’s become a ritual for me, and really keeps me on track. Unsure if it’s true, but I’m convinced my immune system is strong as a result of taking this (knock on wood). I have been a customer for 2+ years and will continue to be one for life!

  • Seed is my go-to for probiotics and digestive health. I have so many issues with lactose and gluten, but if I stay on top of my daily dose, Seed definitely helps. My biggest complaint is how expensive it is. I would rather save a bit more on the packaging and have a less luxurious product.
