Outdoor Voices earns mixed reviews: the brand delivers soft, durable lounge and athleisure standouts like CloudKnit joggers, RecTrek pants, and the iconic Exercise Dress, but performance pieces—especially many leggings and some bras—feel stiff, slip, or show sweat, and sizing runs inconsistent. Reviews of Outdoor Voices also flag variable quality and fit (plus-size and petite needs unmet), while praising unique colorways, thoughtful details (pockets, adjustable straps), and long-wearing fleece and basics; great for everyday movement and errands, less reliable for high‑intensity workouts.

i purchased a pair of black rectrek pants, and they are slightly thicker than other pants from similar brands. i like them, and i think they’re comfortable and convenient due to their zip pockets. my one complaint is that they look like slacks because of how stiff they are, but i’m hoping they loosen a bit with wear.
Depends on the item, the leggings I didn't find stretchy enough for bigger thighs, but I have a tank that is super nice and lightweight that I wear all the time. They also have great men's items that I've gotten my boyfriend and he loves them!
I have their shorts I bought at a sample sale and I still wear them pretty much every day because they are so comfortable!
I own a windbreaker, a sports dress, and a pair of socks from Outdoor Voices. After a year of pretty consistent use, they are holding up great. Love the windbreaker. It breaks wind and I look super chic wearing it. The sporty dress is perfect for hikes. Hasn't stretched out and I love how there is rubber along the short hem to keep them from rolling up. Outdoor Voices has great quality products and impressive design details. You can tell the design team has put a lot of thought and research into their designs.
Although I don't love some of OG's recent designs, I wear the cloud knit joggers I got 2 years ago almost once a week. The cloud knit material is the softest stuff ever. I think the leggings that were launched in the recent past are higher quality and more comfortable than the first iterations. My first pair of leggings I got in 2017 I don't wear anymore because they have no stretch and don't stay up. The OG design is bold, and it has become a brand that everyone recognizes when you wear for better or for worse. I will keep buying their clothes because I like the bright colors and I do think they have figured out fit and material that works.
Was a big fan of OV in the late 2010's and the whole "#DoingThings" really hit home. They were known for their color block and dipped leggings and their kits however the quality, look, and feel has definitely gone downhill. I remember going into their store and seeing that their newly released leggings had changed in fabric ratio.

I'm interested to see how the brand stays afloat in such a saturated market with more brands trying to do and achieve the same.

The Exercise Dress is essentially my summer uniform. Love having something feminine that I can just throw on and be comfortable in! I also really like their other dresses and skorts. Love their student discounts!
Loved it

Products are pretty hit or miss. The Sunday Shorts and Sunday Pant are fantastic: soft, structured, super comfortable. But other stuff, like true workout gear, can be a bummer. I wanted to love the High Stride shorts but the sizing was all over the place, and it feels like they unexpectedly retire products (especially for men) all the time.

Just because you don't want to be Nike, doesn't mean people don't want classic workout gear. I kinda like working out in all black! It's easy to clean! Need to work on sizing. Too much variance there. And lastly, the men's selection is a drag, and kinda hard to navigate. New customers have no idea what all these fabrics are.
I've owned a sports bra and a couple of leggings. All great quality and true to size. The bra had an odd cut but I adored the high-waisted cut of the leggings, which are available in different lengths. The fabric does tend to pill after a while, but that's normal.

For me, the brand has lost its initial sheen as it's grown in popularity, but that doesn't mean it isn't worth buying. It's like Ikea furniture - instantly recognisable and a bit basic, but if you don't have a problem with that, then go for it.
I LOVE their sports bra for low-impact lounging activities. The colors are awesome and the quality holds up really well. While I want to love the leggings, they have been a little too thick for any strenous athletic activity (e.g. running, crossfit) but can be worn on more low impact activities (e.g. walking, running errands etc.)

I think there's more room for sweat-wicking material even for the more leisure products.
Throughout quarantine my uniform was the All Day sweatpants (CloudKnit joggers) and Sweatee long sleeve tee. Ok and I'm still wearing the same outfit. OV joggers are the best joggers I've ever worn--because they're long enough for me (I'm 5'9" and Lululemon is just too short). They also look polished enough I can wear them out if necessary. I have 7 pairs in different colors and 3 pairs in black. If they're ever discontinued so help me. They do not bag out or lose their shape or pill (my first pair still looks great, I line dry everything). However, I will say the joggers have been inconsistent in length and have kept getting shorter and shorter since I bought my first pair in 2017... I do like the warmup leggings but only for hiking because the fabric is really durable and sturdy. I didn't like any of their other leggings I've tried, TechSweat and FreeForm. Additionally, the shorts I've tried also didn't impress me. I would have preferred longer inseams and linings. Also their pricing has gone WAY up.
I've had joggers and shorts from Outdoor Voices for 5+ years. I wear both regularly, and I'm shocked by how well they've held up to frequent wear and washing. Their branding is also great.

Bring back the original stretch crepe joggers!

I am a big fan of Outdoor Voices' branding, but their leggings aren't quite right for me. I have a pair of the TechSweat leggings (probably 2 years old now) that stretch out when I wear them and I can't run or work out in them because I have to keep pulling them up. I have a couple pairs of their other leggings (one I bought, one I got as a gift) and they're comfortable and thick, but I don't find the geometric pattern all that flattering and they're too hot to wear in the spring.
After trying numerous different exercise dresses, I finally caved and bought the OG exercise dress when I found it to be on sale. And since then, I have bought multiple colors because it try is such a great product.
love their workout stuff. kind of similar to patagonia but about half the cost of their stuff and almost as solid as far as quality goes. really like their shirts as their super lightweight but last a few years
I remember when Outdoor Voices used to be one of the highest quality activewear brands but since they got really popular the quality has gone way done. I wouldn't buy from them again which is unfortunate because I used to be a fan.

Find casual cooler activewear great at leisure and a wide variety of styles and prints and you’ll find one that you like. It was really comfy. Fits well last long impressed with the quality makes a gift as well.
this brand of workout sets and clothes are super cute and trendy and my wife absolutely loves them. They are super comfortable on her and we wash them and she uses them multiple times throughout the week and they have held up.

They used to be good when they first came out, but somehow it declined as more brands came. I still like their sales and cute styles. I still wear their dress out on walks and love it. Hopefully I will get to see what uniqueness this brand gives in the future!
