Reviews mention

  • Soft cloudknit fabric loungewear
  • Durable rectrek pants construction
  • Playful, distinctive colorways
  • Thoughtful pockets and details
  • Inconsistent, unreliable sizing
  • Stiff, slipping leggings performance
  • Sweat‑showing, thick fabrics
  • Variable durability in seams

Outdoor Voices earns mixed reviews: the brand delivers soft, durable lounge and athleisure standouts like CloudKnit joggers, RecTrek pants, and the iconic Exercise Dress, but performance pieces—especially many leggings and some bras—feel stiff, slip, or show sweat, and sizing runs inconsistent. Reviews of Outdoor Voices also flag variable quality and fit (plus-size and petite needs unmet), while praising unique colorways, thoughtful details (pockets, adjustable straps), and long-wearing fleece and basics; great for everyday movement and errands, less reliable for high‑intensity workouts.

  • this brand is actually so underrated!!! the quality is so good and the prices are somewhat affordable. they have really cute designs for all ages (i got my dad a hat and he loved it) so definitely check this brand out

  • I love my pullover form Outdoor Voices. It has the perfect vibe between athletic and cute. It’s also a great temperature material - I can wear it when it’s cool or warm cause it doesn’t make me too hot.

  • Gift for my cousin, looked nice

  • High quality athleisure pieces that last for a long time. Great sustainable pieces in styles that are versatile and comfortable.

  • Love their sweatshirts but find the active wear fabrics to shift a lot on the body when i wear them. Fabrics feel high quality but I have had a couple exercise dresses fall apart on me. Customer service was very helpful in replacing it thought!

  • I really like the design options that Outdoor Voices offers. I wish the store in DC was still open though. I really love my crop tee and leggings.

  • The fit of their clothing is hit or miss and I only enjoy the cloud knit fabric. Some of the legging material accentuates cellulite, so i've returned more than i've kept from this company.

  • I used to really love OV - they seemed to be one of the few reasonably priced athleisure brands that actually fit most bodies (and seemingly promoted inclusivity). But I think they may be downsizing or going out of business? I'm not sure that I've seen any new good clothing come from them recently.

  • (before this bankruptcy news) i went to their physical store and loved everything about it: felt like i was shopping a friend's closet with the said friend chatting and guiding me on what to buy. i ended up going for a couple leggings and a longline bra that i wear religiously as a bra and a top. i'm on the shorter side and the bra is the perfect length to hold me together but to also stretch past my stomach. the leggings are also super comfortable, they are compression but are soft instead of that typical compressive (ironic) feel.

  • I like the quality, I do feel like for a curvy girl it can sometimes feel restrictive but otherwise I love the company itself and the feel of the clothes. I feel like it is similar to lululemon but quality does seem a bit better at times. LOVE their socks, their socks are somewhat padded.

  • Quality products that hold up well during sweaty workouts and are comfy for everyday wear.

  • love these clothes! a bit expensive but great quality and lasts a long time. good color choices too

  • Exceptional product with competitive prices for the upmarket athletic wear sector. Bottoms don’t stretch out and aren’t see through like many other brands. Love the cut of their light shorts as well. So comfortable!

  • I have their atheltic dress - so comfortable, even to wear when swimming. Wicks away moisture.

  • I wanted to try this brand to see if there was smoothing different than the more well known athleisure fits. I have thicker legs and wearing the leggings, shorts, dresses and even skirts was a mission in finding the right size. I either have to sacrifice compression or comfort. I ended up sizing up in everything to best fit my legs, but then the waist bands would be too big. Even for dresses, I have more mass in my lower half, so I have to size up, but then the top is very loose. I feel like these might best be for those who are more symmetrical or not as curvy. I will also say that their hats are my favorites to wear, but if its a sized product, it's not my favorite.

  • i wore my exercise dress religiously for about a year. so comfortable and easy to throw on and accessorize. it did however unravel and stretch out around the year mark which i’m disappointed with

  • I still love Outdoor Voices clothing. I’ve been a purchaser of the brand since 2016. Their products are high quality and stylish. I have purchased men’s products for my partner and he loves them. Their prices have gotten better and they seem to have a lot of sales, which means I often choose shopping there over Athleta. Their sizing can be off, which is the only frustrating part as you don’t know which size you’ll be in which product. But the reviews are usually pretty accurate and returns have been easy. I hope they continue to expand their size range.

  • I have so many pieces from OV that I love and wear all the time - their CloudKnit fabric is the best!
