Outdoor Voices earns mixed reviews: the brand delivers soft, durable lounge and athleisure standouts like CloudKnit joggers, RecTrek pants, and the iconic Exercise Dress, but performance pieces—especially many leggings and some bras—feel stiff, slip, or show sweat, and sizing runs inconsistent. Reviews of Outdoor Voices also flag variable quality and fit (plus-size and petite needs unmet), while praising unique colorways, thoughtful details (pockets, adjustable straps), and long-wearing fleece and basics; great for everyday movement and errands, less reliable for high‑intensity workouts.

I have an exercise dress from a few years ago in a colour that I really love. I also have an OV fleece that receives compliments and is reasonably cozy. Beyond that, with years of trying, I’ve never been able to find any OV gear that is particularly cute or in a material that feels high quality. Frustrating, and I rarely even bother shopping there any more.
I like most of their stuff especially the tops. Really nice and soft.

I love the leggings, but the compression ones are a bit too tight. Also, the prices have increased over the past few years which is upsetting.
SO HIT OR MISS. I am an XL in most brands and I've found that some items from OV fit perfectly, some are a joke. Particularly their sports bras/tanks, I don't believe that they're graded on plus size bodies (that is - it's built exactly the same as the sample size, usually a S or M, and don't account for how bodies change as they grow). I've stocked up a few times on BFCM sales and certain things I wear weekly, others still have tags because the sizing is laughable and they were final sale. I have 2 sports bras that don't even cover my nipples it's so low cut, they didn't account for larger chests.
Outdoor Voices is a great company, don't get me wrong. I just gave them a 3 because there are so many other activewear companies that in my opinion are doing even better. OV's fabrics are super soft, supportive, sweat-wicking, etc. Their price point is about average. For what I'm looking for, they are just a little simple and basic, without the class or innovation of other companies. I think they'd make a great option for someone new to wellness or working out and potentially for younger folks who aren't looking for a lifetime relationship with their athletic wear.
love this brand, cannot go wrong with any pieces you pick up! it is a bit pricey, but worth the investment for a few staple pieces.
I love the events they host when working out. It makes me feel like I have a home and belong and the clothes are so inclusive.

I love the size movement and how it’s truly about just going outside and doing things.
I have been a fan of OV for years and own many items (tech sweat leggings, sweatee, exercise dress, exercise skirt, court skort, cloud knit, rectrek, etc) I'm always eager to try new stuff, especially when it hits the sale section, but lately the quality has been super compromised. My partner purchased a pair of shorts (all day aka cloud knit) and the shorts immediately pilled after one wear. OV happily exchanged the damaged shorts, but then it happened again...

Material quality has suffered, please go back to the original fabrics.
I love OV. Several of my friends swear by it, and I was skeptical of the hype at first. Now, I understand it. The feel is great and the cuts are so flattering.

I stopped buying Lululemon as soon as OV dropped in 2012. They hands down have the best running shorts and are priced just right. The overall brand mission really sat well with me and their social presence (motivation, city runs, and group virtual fitness) really helped me to get back into shape after struggling to get fit again during my early years of college. Only thing I see to be a repeat problem are the zippers on smaller pockets breaking. But given this is after 4 years of almost everyday wear and tear.

Which the mens line was equally as elaborate as women's.
Love their schtick. The men's t-shirts are so SOFT that I wear them most days.

I really loved this brand when it first came out, and I also loved supporting a female founder. But have not loved all of their products in the past two years. The tech sweat leggings are the best fabric, but their "new band" for the past two years is not as comfortable for me personally. Their original color blocked leggings has a scratchy think fabric that doesn't stay up well on me. I do love the Exercise Dress, and I love supporting this piece of the business as this concept has really taken off and I think they really built that momentum- but the elastic straps completely came loose after a year of use- their new innovations seem to have made adjustments on this issue. They do have great mens clothes (high quality. and good styles) which I have given as gifts to family/boyfriends etc. and people have loved every time!

I have also have mixed experiences in their NYC store prior to Covid (have not been back since)- some friendly and helpful associates- some standoffish and too busy to be helpful
O.G. Outdoor voices shopper here! I do find their leggings to be a bit too rigid for me, but I love the rest of their products! I have some fleece jackets, a hat, and some tops I love. I always appreciate their fun colors and simple designs!
I really enjoy Outdoor Voices customer service. It's always been friendly, fun, and supportive. I've just started trying a few of their items, and really like the Zephyr Pant and the cloudknit shorts. Comfy and good fit.

comfy leggings but a bit flimsy. Colorful with cute design. I may buy again.
Got pastel yellow track pants and they were see through. One of their biker shorts had a seam in the middle which isn't as flattering as seamless biker shorts. I think there's better athleticwear out there for better prices
Like the exercise dress don’t love the shorts

I bought the Exercise Dress over the summer and like how snug the snorts feel underneath. I don't think it's the most flattering exercise dress out there, but it's still in my regular rotation. I would recommend to a friend!
Love the brand's mission and fresh take on branding. Own two fleeces and they were surprisingly affordable and good quality in comparison to other comparable outdoor gear brands such as Patagonia and REI.

I do like keeping an eye on this brand and seeing the things they release, Ive bought a number of pieces over the years and some Ive loved, others not as in love with. I love my frostknit jacket for running in the winter, freeform leggings, warmup shorts, snack shorts (with the mini backpack and tons of pockets - great for adventures and long walks!) I also enjoy the sports bras I have from them. Not always a fan of the patterns and designs and there's been a lot of products come through that I haven't been a fan of so I haven't bought anything from them in a while but if something truly unique comes along I wouldn't be against trying it.
