  • Iconic, effervescent bath bombs
  • Playful, aromatic in-store experience
  • Vegan, sustainability-focused ethos
  • Beloved, nourishing hero formulas
  • Overpowering, irritating fragrances
  • Inconsistent skincare and haircare efficacy
  • Messy, staining bath bomb residue
  • Frequent product discontinuations frustration

Lush earns polarizing reviews: aficionados praise its standout bath bombs, indulgent scrubs (Scrubee, Ocean Salt, Magic Crystals), beloved staples like Dream Cream, Celestial, and Mask of Magnaminty, plus vegan/eco-minded practices and fun in‑store testing. Detractors cite overpowering, sometimes irritating fragrances, inconsistent efficacy (notably some skincare, conditioners, and shampoo bars), product discontinuations, and occasional staining or messy residue from bombs—making the brand better for gifts and sensorial self‑care than results‑driven routines.

  • They have a sign in the front of the store that says boycott Israel it’s a disgusting behavior so I will never buy there again

  • Repulsive and anti-Semitic service You can already see the racism at the entrance to the stores by the signage and those who miss it will enter and experience repulsive service

  • Love Love Love!!!! I have rough hands and after trying out so many lotions and hand creams it never actually helped my hands get softer but when I tried their “Helping Hand” hand cream, oh boy did my hands felt softer instantly! I am obsessed with it! I love the scent of the cocoa butter and honey combination which helps in nurishing my hands! Definitely worth a try!

  • Lush is such a luxury item for me. I love everything so much! I take baths every night before bed and the bath bombs are so amazing. I love the one called sleepy as it has lavender and chamomile and really gets me ready for a good, long sleep.

They opened a pop up store near me for the holidays and I was so excited. I wish it was always there, not just for the holidays.

  • A shameful company with an anti-Semitic policy.

  • I remember Lush as a mall store brand when I was growing up. There always seemed to be a strong loyal following, of which I was not a part. I have received multiple gifts over the years however and have always found their products nice enough, but not something I would repurchase. Always a bit too fragrances and too weird of a texture for me. However, I love the product packaging and messaging and visual story telling. And none of the products were less than mid. Most recently I tried a face scrub, which reminded me of St Ives as too abrasive, but I used as body scrub and it worked great. Not for me, but maybe for you.

  • Lush reminds me of a more eco-friendly Bath & Body Works. To me the scents are too overwhelming & give me a headache, the bath bombs are fun, but be prepared to clean your tub of lots of glitter & sparkles & left over color!

  • Lush makes beautiful, indulgent body scrubs that come packaged like ice cream in attractive cardboard containers. Right now, the limited edition Candy Wash and Barbie Dream are my new favorites. I love that they also offer vegan shower gels, like the apple-scented Luigi gel. Their shampoo bars are good for the environment and help reduce plastic waste but didn't work well with my thick hair when it was longer however they may be a great alternative to regular shampoos for people who travel a lot and want to carry less liquids in their bag.

  • I just don't like this brand, the scents are too intense and I would never put any of their products on my face... bath bombs are cool but it's all just too overwhelming for me personally

  • I used to be obsessed with lush! They had great eco-friendly products that felt super luxurious. I feel like now, they're much more expensive and don't offer the same hits they used to.

  • Lush makes a lot of great soaps and bath bombs! The store setups are always nice too. I don't currently have any products bug they are a go to for gift giving.

  • In my humble opinion, these are the original bath bombs and they cannot be outdone. In comparison to other brands, Lush remains top-notch in terms of providing a generous size, strong/good scents, and that coveted bubble-up-fizzy-foaming action when you plop a bomb in a filled bathtub. The best ones are the OG round ball bath bombs that are about $7-$10 each. I don't love the non-round versions that are the same price and kind of look like cookie cutouts of whatever is trending or in-season (i.e. gingerbread man, UFO, unicorn). And I rated down because the ones with glitter or super neon colors are hard to get out of tubs, BUT overall they are so fun and great to have around and gift.

  • Not a huge fan of Lush. I find their scents quite overwhelming at times. I do enjoy their bath bombs though.

  • Everything smells incredible. I love how sustainable and clean the ingredients are. I just don’t find them something to use regularly

  • Product tried: Honey I washed the Kids bodyspray. It smells like brownsugar and caramel and honey crisps. Its so sweet and so strong that it lasts a long time. I had been applying it for a while but it has become my signature scent. The spray nozzle has a helpful locking mechanism too

  • I've been a big fan of Lush for nearly fifteen years. Their solid products are amazing, especially if you travel frequently as they don't count as liquids. I could take or leave the bath bombs and other bath treats as I'm not really that type of person.

  • I'm a big fan of the green initiatives of the brand, and the products both feel amazing and deliver results. The mask of magnaminty is always my go-to after a long day, and the shower jellies smell great, last forever, and are so fun to use!

The brand can be on the pricier side, but it makes buying anything feel like a fun little splurge!

  • Fun products though i generally stick to the bar soap. smells great and looks cool. great for gifts. some people don't like the base scent though.

  • I love this brand! They have a store in Japan too and I've been buying it since then. I also love the brand mission of not doing any animal testing and being very natural to all the ingredients they use. It is great for small gifts to give out to your friends. The honey soap is one of my favorite and the smell is great! The bath bomb is also unique and looking at the seasonal ones are always exciting! I highly recommend everyone using this once!
