Liquid I.V. earns strong reviews for fast, noticeable hydration—especially after workouts, travel, heat, and hangovers—while convenient single-serve packets and broad flavor variety (Lemon Lime, Strawberry, Passion Fruit, Watermelon, Golden Cherry) stand out. However, many reviews flag overly sweet, sometimes salty flavors, a “thick” mouthfeel, undissolved grit, and high sugar/sodium; some prefer diluting with more water or the newer sugar‑free line, and a few question ingredient “cleanliness” or effectiveness versus competitors.

I feel like it always makes me feel better in the moment but the ingredients are bad and I choose to drink other brands over this
Doesn’t taste as good as other alternatives
Love the new sugar free variety
Obsessed! I'm someone who forgets to drink water -- like I'll look up and say, "Woah, it's 4pm and I've have not had any water!" I try to keep a few of these on hand at all times to drink a few times a week. I have a 40 oz. waterbottle (when I remember to drink water, I REALLY drink it) and will use half a packet. I once used a whole packet and it was toooo much for me because I felt like my body was malfunctioning in overdrive. Also, I just went on a month long trip to France and packed a few of these in my carry on. I mainly wanted to ensure that I could drink one on each transatlantic flight and one a week. I loved it on the flight because it's hydrating and I didn't have to pee multiple times on the flight because my body retained the electrolytes and water. I buy these from Whole Foods.
The taste takes some getting used to because it is really strong, I prefer to use half a packet but I appreciate the great benefits!
I love adding this to my water. It makes me feel so much more hydrated and like my body is actually absorbing the water.

Too sweet. The only thing worth it could be the sugar-free versions.
Liquid IV is great in a pinch and I used to use them a TON when I was in college and needed a next morning boost, if you know what I mean. However, they are pretty high in sugars which in my older age, is something I am aware of. You definitely have to mix them in pretty well to avoid settling of powder at the bottom.
Overall Liquid IV is a better option than some other electrolyte or energy drinks, but it still doesn’t mean it’s good for you. I enjoy the lemon-lime energy one, and do feel like it helped give me more energy during a long day, but don’t like a lot of the other flavors. We always had a supply of this in our house for a long time but have since switched to LMNT to avoid all the sugar and focus more on hydration through salt.
I have used Liquid IV off and on for a few years now. I have to be honest that I don't enjoy all of the flavors - Lemon Lime has to be my favorite (i know that is the unpopular opinion). However, I just hate how much sugar is in these small packets. But they are small and great to travel with - especially if you just need an extra boost of hydration!
I have tried the energy liquid iv and was pleasantly surprised that it did give me energy. The flavor is not that great but is definitely not the worst I have tried.
I love Liquid IV! Such great flavors and it really does work. The only issue I have is how much sugar is in the product.

Finally got influenced!! I got Liquid IV for a festival and now I’m hooked! The mango habanero flavor is fireeeee!! The packaging is easy to transport and very event friendly! I also have shared these with friends and love trading flavors too!
Very salty but good for if you are dehydrated and need a significant dose of electrolytes. I don’t use often but am glad I tried it and could use if I know I’m getting a lot of extra sun/sweat exposure.
I did not like the taste of this. I will say I don’t often like flavored water so that might play into I also don’t like stevia which this is flavored with. From a hydration standpoint I tried it to help with my migraines but I think because of not liking the taste it didn’t help with the hydration

I tried so many electrolyte drinks when going through chemotherapy. I like the availability of liquid IV but it definitely wasn’t one of my favorites. With all of the hydration supplements it seems to be a balance between enough sweetness to balance the saltiness.

My favorites ended up being Drip Drop ORS- recommended by my doctors, and Cure hydration who manage to keep sugar very low and not be overly salty tasting.
LOVE these. I used to be so bad at remembering to drink water throughout the day (a crime, I know), so having one of these in a glass of water would revive me from that dehydrated feeling.

Flavors are meh, but could definitely be worse. Prices are a bit higher than I feel good about spending on a drink supplement
I have tried many different flavors of Liquid I.V. and have yet to find one that I truly enjoy the taste of. I really appreciate how easy they are to use and the idea behind the product, especially as someone who struggles to drink enough water, but I find them too sweet and artificial tasting.
I have one before and after a night out, as well as after long summer runs. Definitely makes me feel more hydrated and does most of the trick in regards to hangovers. That being said, it's hard to make a scientific A/B test, but at the very least I can say that it's delicious (lemon lime flavor) and because of that, I always end up chugging a ridiculous amount of it.
This is such a lifesaver! I have talked about needing a literal liquid IV since I was a child, as I have issues with fainting when I stand up, change from running to walking, etc. Not getting enough water or electrolytes makes the issues worse, and unfortunately I am one of those people who does not like water. I have definitely noticed a huge difference when using Liquid IV, and it feels like the same effects as just drinking a lot of water. I think it is perfect for hangovers, POTs, or any other health problem related to water-intake!
