  • Velvety, ultra-creamy texture
  • Inventive, distinctive flavors

  • Impressive dairy-free options
  • Inconsistent flavor execution
  • Occasionally icy, grainy texture
  • Some flavors overly sweet

Jeni's Ice Creams earns rapturous reviews for rich, ultra‑creamy texture and inventive, true‑to‑label flavors like Brambleberry Crisp, Gooey Butter Cake, and Brown Butter Almond Brittle, confirming the brand is excellent. Reviews also flag downsides: pints are expensive, quality varies by flavor, and some report iciness or overly sweet/salty notes and occasional freezer burn from stores.

  • Best ice cream in this world! Though it has a lot of sugar this ice cream will change your life and you will never go back.

    Feedback

Too much sugar, find a different alternative and replace the sugar with something else.

  • I LOVE Jeni’s. I love their actual brick and mortar spots, but I get so excited to also see the pints in the grocery. Tastes almost as good. High quality, delicious, and great flavors.

    Make less caloric hehe!

  • I've tried several popular brands of ice cream across the US, Jeni's is hands down my favorite.

I don't live in the US now. Please please please sell abroad! (Particularly Singapore.)

  • Absolutely love Jenis ice cream! The flavors are unique and they offer non-dairy as well (the gooey buttercake is my guilty pleasure). There is a Jenis near me and it is hard to not stop by there on a regular basis.

  • yummmmyyyyyy to be fair i've only had this ice cream in their store but it is super good! lots of flavor variety and tastes high quality! pints may be a little expensive but it's a sometimes food

  • Aww this tasted so good and creamy, I didn’t feel guilty when I was eating this at all loll, I would definitely give this or bring it to a party with the girls if we are crying over men, it’s really good ice cream

  • I usually have the mint chip and the blackout cake as “break glass in case of emergency ice cream. I really enjoy so many of the flavors, but I will always be heartbroken that they discontinued Tahitian Vanilla.

  • Creative flavors, but not very memorable. I also don’t like that any time I go into their brick and mortar locations, they’ve never got their most outlandish or interesting flavors on rotation. The ice cream isn’t very scoopable or creamy either

  • I don’t eat dairy any more so I was excited to try Jeni’s dairy free flavours! Generally, they are great. There is a bit of a coconutty taste to them all, but still, a solid non-dairy ice cream option!

  • These are the best ice creams on the market, my favorite is gooey butter cake and sweet cream biscuits and peach. I'm slowly making my way through all the flavors and love their unique ideas. I love that they use high quality ingredients too.

  • If you haven't tried Jeni's, what are you waiting for?! Jeni's is a phenomenal artisan ice cream with a vast selection of flavors for any craving. My personal favorite is the Boston Cream Pie flavor but you truly can't go wrong! While there isn't a Jeni's scoop shop in my area, I'm so glad to finally see them in stores on the east coast. I can't wait to try more flavors!

  • So yummy!!! So decadent!! But very pricey and tough to find all flavors. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 out of 5.

  • I bought my friend a box of 6 flavors for her birthday and all of them were so innovative I struggled to pick just 6. They shipped really well and she loved! I’ve had the cinnamon roll flavor myself and it’s super good but I found it a bit icy. Just make sure you get a pint that doesn’t have a ton of frost and isn’t too squishy.

  • Super delicious flavors. I've tried a few, including Brambleberry Crisp - sweet, tangy and a unique berry flavor. However, they're definitely not inexpensive and are on the splurgy spectrum for ice cream.

  • I’ll be honest, it took several tries for me to find my favorite at Jeni’s. At first I kept going for the more complex fruity creations (my usual litmus test), but they just weren’t doin it for me. It ended up being too sweet for my palette. But I REFUSED to believe that this brand was a total miss. So I finally tried their chocolate-y/vanilla/caramel flavors, which got me hooked! One of my favorites being the Milkiest Chocolate, which is a straight up fudgecicle nostalgia. I usually go for the inventive concoction flavors, but realized (for my taste) the simple flavors are what Jeni does super well.

  • went to the original jeni's location. love their rainbow buttermilk flavor. texture is great

  • I get the hype now. I moved to chicago via New York. Love it . Mean it . Ps that Texas sheet cake for my lactose homies is 💣

  • Being from Europe, I'd heard a lot about Jeni's ice cream before I finally got to try it at one of her locations (which looked great btw). There had been a lot of hype and I was curious about if the ice cream in her store also uses the creme cheese in her ice cream base like the recipes in her books, and if it all lived up to the hype. It didn't. Don't get me wrong, the ice cream is great and there's a multitude of interesting flavors to choose from but I had higher expectations. I was interested in buying one of her books as I do make a lot of ice cream at home, but the employee in the store knew less about the books or her ice cream base than I did when I had questions. She told me she had "started reading one but not finished" which is an interesting way to advertise a book.

The different flavors were unique and exciting, but I thought the texture was quite icy and there was a discernable icy crunch in my mouth when biting into the ice cream. Was it just this store that had problems with refrigeration or transportation – or is it a common problem with Jeni's? I also thought the ice cream was extremely expensive, and there were better and cheaper options around the corner.

  • I love Jeni's! As a native Ohioan, I've loved seeing Jeni take over the ice cream space. Innovative flavors and INCREDIBLE texture. I love the packaging as well, particularly with the seasonal flavors.
