Hoka earns strong reviews for comfort and performance, with models like Clifton, Bondi, Arahi, Mach, and Speedgoat praised for cloud‑soft cushioning, lightweight feel, and pain relief over long hours; however, durability concerns (outsoles peeling, fast wear), inconsistent sizing/fit, bulky aesthetics, and poor customer service repeatedly surface. Reviews indicate Hoka works exceptionally for walking, road running, standing all day, and recovery, but trail durability and narrow/wide fit needs can be mismatched for some buyers.

I first came across this brand when it was sold on the Outdoor Voices site. I initially felt the look of the shoes was not for me, but after searching jogging/running shoes this brand kept coming up as the absolute best. I purchased the CLIFTON L in the OXFORD TAN / DUNE colorway, which is essentially a beige. The cost is comparable to brands that have more market share, like Nike, the pair was $150 and the total was $162 for shipping. After my first run I was hooked. The shoes offered so much more bounce, comfort, support, and protection than previous sneakers. I've worn them for both outdoor and indoor (treadmill) walks, jogs, and runs and will definitely re-purchase when it's time. I found the shoes to be true to size and super durable. While the colors may not always be the most modern or fashionable, I am now prioritizing my foot and knee health with converting to Hokas.

Easy to clean, good feel, good fit. So much more comfortable than my my other pairs of shoes ( vans fan ). I really enjoy the designs and colors that Hoka offers. I am not a runner by anymeans but my feet never feel cramped after long walks when I wear my hokas!
I adoreee my Bondi 8's and got my husband onto them as well. A full day in Disneyland is no issue with them. I actually started my Hoka journey in Gaviota 4 Wides from Nordstrom Rack which ended up giving me terrible blisters (because I honestly didn't know what to look for back then) but went to the Hoka store in Venice where they fitted me into regular width Gaviota 5s which I ended up loving even though I don't need stability shoes, but they just make me feel very secure while running. Then eventually I wanted to try Bondi 8s because of the hype and because there was a sale (even though when I tried them in store first I didnt like them) and now they are my go to for long, easy runs... and, again, any day where I need to walk a lot, like going to Disneyland, haha! One thing I don't like about Hoka is that their loyalty program doesn't support in-store purchases yet and that shipping takes quite a while with them, even the fast options. Otherwise recommend though!
Hoka makes some of the best walking and running shoes out there! The cushioning is incredibly comfortable, providing great support without feeling too heavy. They’re perfect for long walks or runs, as they really absorb impact and reduce fatigue. The fit is usually spot-on, and they offer great stability, which is key for avoiding any discomfort or injury during your workouts. Plus, the designs are sleek and stylish, so they look good while you’re getting active. Whether you’re training for a race or just out for a walk, Hoka shoes are definitely a top choice for comfort and performance.

I've tried a few versions of Hoka shoes but I find that they don't offer enough support or shapes that work for me.

Love their bondi sneakers. They are the comfiest show I have put on my feet. When I first got them it felt like I was floating because they were that comfortable. Highly recommend - so much that I purchased my mom, dad and sister a pair.

The most comfortable shoes in the world - like walking on clouds! Not the most beautiful - silhouette is similar to a Skechers Shape Up. But the comfort is unparalleled.
These shoes honestly changed my life. I have the Speedgoats and I use them for hiking - my feet used to throb during long hikes but with the Hokas I can really push the miles. They are more comfortable than any trail runner I have worn before (I used to use Altras) and I was able to put more than 800 miles on a pair! Well worth the money!
The soles are great. But the shoe are not shaped in a way that is not healthy for your feet. The toe is too narrow and not shaped in alignment with one’s feet. At the very least I wish they made “wides”.

Bondi 8s - best sneakers I have ever owned. So springy and comfortable. Love the colour range they have too. Would buy a 1000 of these in different colours.
I absolutely love mine. I have incredibly high arches, and they molded to my foot to create the most comfortable running shoes. Can not recommend enough!
Hoka makes some solid running shoes, but for me, it’s really all about the One Ones. They strike the perfect balance of comfort and performance, delivering the signature cushioning and support Hoka is known for without feeling bulky. The design is sleek, and they just feel right, whether you’re running, walking, or wearing them casually. While the rest of their lineup might not resonate as much with me, the One Ones are a standout and definitely worth the hype.
at first I wasn’t sure about the hype, but I absolutely love my Hoku shoes. I have them so much and they are still in great shape, but the inside is still as comfy as the first day I bought them! 10 out of 10 recommend
shoes are stylish, but the shoes felt a bit too cushiony & heavy to run in
My favourite running shoes of the last five years. Stylish, supportive, and lightweight.
I love my Hokas! They are so lightweight and comfortable, highly recommend. Though I wish more of their products didn't use animal derivatives.
These became my go to casual shoes in a heartbeat. Super comfy (at least for walking and short distances - haven’t tried for runs yet). The price is a bit high but they’re holding up incredibly well so I think they’ll definitely prove their worth.
An actual cloud! I have loved running in Hokas and retired them for a casual walking shoe after I wore them out. The quality is top notch and I now fully understand the hype.

More neutral colorways!
I do really love Hoka and they make an exceptional running shoe. I run on trails more often, and even their trail line is just not durable enough for me. If you're more of a road runner i'd say go for it on these, but if you tend to run in rockier areas, go for On Cloud! I have a lot of clients + friends who love Hoka for walking or city running. Lost of cushion!

These are a great shoe for most, the cushioning is amazing and they're great for those who put on a lot of mileage per week!
