While the initial fit was good for the shoe , they do not stand up to "normal wear and tear." I purchased these for my 17 year old son for warm up shoes in track and some everyday wear. He went to camp and took the shoes, while playing basketball he landed and his foot went through the outside of the shoe, it split completely open. This was less than 4 months from purchase date. I contacted Hoka warranty, and after a "thorough review" that took less than 24 hours they deemed that it was normal wear and tear. I have 3 active children and have bought dozens of shoes and have not had any other brand split like this one has. I would recommend not putting your hard earned money into these shoes.
