Reviews mention

  • Protein-rich pasta alternative
  • Surprisingly authentic texture
  • Flavorful frozen pizzas
  • Kid-approved crowdpleasers
  • Inconsistent noodle integrity
  • Sticky, mushy overcooking risk
  • Noticeable chickpea aftertaste
  • Clumpy long-cut spaghetti

Banza earns strong reviews as a high‑protein, gluten‑free swap that often tastes and chews close to traditional pasta and even delivers standout frozen pizzas, while many note it can overcook quickly, turn mushy or sticky, and some cuts feel fragile. Reviews of Banza praise the satisfying, protein‑dense pasta, kid‑friendly appeal, and tasty mac & cheese (notably White Cheddar), but flag inconsistent texture across shapes, occasional bitter/chickpea aftertaste, and spaghetti/linguine that clump or stay too firm.

  • I love banza. It's a great way too add more protein to the meals I cook. I do think it needs cooked longer than the box says, and the only negative thing for me is the foamy stuff when you cook it...it's not a dealbreaker but it does gross me out a bit.

  • Very good non-wheat noodle alternative. Relatively neutral taste and more nutrient dense than traditional pasta given they are primarily made from chickpeas. The cooking time is relatively short, they come in many pasta shapes, and they are generally very good if you set your expectations appropriately for a healthy alternative pasta that provides a lot of the same satisfaction as eating wheat-based pasta. Recentl,y we discovered Goodles, which is another healthy alternative pasta brand, and they might have Banza beat in the taste and texture department. Banza, however, being around longer has a much greater array of pasta shape variations, and they are better suited to those who have to or choose to avoid wheat/gluten, as Goodles uses some wheat in their pasta recipe.

  • I loved the concept but unfortunately never feels great after eating. A bit to processed for my preference.

  • The taste of this pasta was oddly sweet? I am hoping other types are better, but not a fan of the flavor.

  • Banza.... sometimes i love it, and sometimes i hate it. The waffles, i love them. The mac and cheese, i absolutely hated it, the flavor wasn't there, it just.. it wasn't a great alternative. The regular everyday pastas, these are a great easy gluten alternative that is loaded with protein, so i am a fan of these and I do buy them. But at the end of the day, everyone's taste pallet is so different.. but i would recommend the pastas and waffles!

  • Love love love always and they have the best choices of shapes!!!

  • Can’t tell if it’s chickpeas. Price point is a bit higher but I’m sure it’s justified because of its ingredients.

  • I am always trying to find ways to get more protein in my meals so I was excited to try a protein packed pasta. I wasn't the biggest fan of the consistency the pasta has and even with sauce I could taste the pasta which has a distinct flavor. So it wasn't my favorite, but it was okay!

  • I have tried the pasta a few times and it’s pretty good. It’s nice to have a change from regular pasta and banza is a great option.

  • I love Banza chickpea pasta! It's a delicious and nutritious alternative to traditional wheat pasta. Banza is made from chickpeas, which are a good source of protein, fiber, and iron. It's also gluten-free, so it's a great option for people with celiac disease or gluten intolerance. Banza pasta tastes just like regular pasta, and it cooks in the same amount of time. I love using it in all of my favorite pasta dishes, like spaghetti with tomato sauce, macaroni and cheese, and pesto pasta. Banza pasta is also a great way to add protein to your diet. One serving of Banza pasta contains 13 grams of protein, which is more than twice the amount of protein in traditional wheat pasta. I highly recommend Banza pasta to anyone who is looking for a delicious and nutritious alternative to traditional wheat pasta. It's a great option for people with celiac disease or gluten intolerance, and it's also a good way to add protein to your diet. Here are some of the pros and cons of Banza pasta: Pros: Delicious and nutritious Gluten-free High in protein Cooks in the same amount of time as traditional wheat pasta Cons: Can be a bit more expensive than traditional wheat pasta Overall, the pros of Banza pasta far outweigh the cons. It's a great way to enjoy pasta without sacrificing flavor or nutrition. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves food!

  • even if i enjoyed the taste of these pizzas i would never in a million years pay the retail price for them, $54 for 4 tiny personal pizzas is so outrageous to me. the crust is very dry and chalky tasting and the quality of the cheese and tomato sauce is nothing above any cheaper frozen pizza, and there was very little of it. i also do not not have a gluten intolerance, so this isn't a satisfying alternative to pizza for me personally and i do not believe it stands on it's own other than an alternative for people with food allergies.

  • I like this pasta but sometimes it can be hard to cook it just right. It can clump together or just get really mushy.

  • Great higher protein option for pasta. Love for weeknight dinners or when I want a healthier, more filling option for pasta.

Love this product. Their pastas & pizzas are great alternatives.

  • I love this pasta- goes a long way when I need something a little more filling than just a bowl of pasta for dinner. The pasta taste/feel is almost completely there, it does taste slightly like it's made of something else but hardly noticeable and worth it if you can't consume regular pasta.

  • Really have only had the pasta. It’s a little crumblier than regular pasta, but an overall great replacement. Beware of bubbling over while cooking and overcooking) The mac and cheese is solid box mac and cheese - perfect for a quick meal.

  • I absolutely love love LOVE their pastas and mac and cheeses!! They are absolutely great for people with PCOS because of their high fiber and high protein content along with their low glucose content.

  • I've pretty much fully converted to Banza due to living with someone who is gluten free. It has really met my pasta craving! That being said, it can never FULLY replace wheat based pasta. Haven't tried the rice or pizza

  • I am obsessed with these pastas! So much more filling and satisfying than regular pasta, and the texture is great. Chickpeas for president! Can't wait to try the pizzas and mac and cheese.
