Banza earns strong reviews as a high‑protein, gluten‑free swap that often tastes and chews close to traditional pasta and even delivers standout frozen pizzas, while many note it can overcook quickly, turn mushy or sticky, and some cuts feel fragile. Reviews of Banza praise the satisfying, protein‑dense pasta, kid‑friendly appeal, and tasty mac & cheese (notably White Cheddar), but flag inconsistent texture across shapes, occasional bitter/chickpea aftertaste, and spaghetti/linguine that clump or stay too firm.

Favorite high protein pasta. I truly think it tastes better than regular pasta, and love that I'm getting more protein with my favorite food.
I love the concept but the texture and consistency of the pasta just doesn't resemble regular pasta. It's less chewy and very soft. Not for everyone!
I bought this in bulk from Amazon and regularly make this for dinner. It's super easy and feels like a hearty bowl of pasta, so it's heartwarming while also relieving me of the duty of cooking up protein. I knew the texture wasn't going to exactly imitate pasta, but it's worth noting that there's a sandier texture that makes the pieces fall apart more easily. Have to make sure not to overcook or else it gets mushy. AS FOR THE PIZZA, I loved. The crust was flakey and crispy. Dense like biscuits, without tasting like chickpeas at all. I actually started looking forward to getting to the crust. Also not sure what it is about the sauce, but it was super tasty and well-topped with veggies.

There's a fragrance / after taste to the pasta that I don't mind much but can get a bit off-putting at times.
I tried the pant based mac & cheese for the first time recently, and I liked it! It's possible that I overcooked it slightly, but I found the texture of the pasta to be a little gritty. I found the flavor to be good, but not the best in comparison to other boxed vegan macs I've had.
I've only tried their pasta, but it's extremely impressive. It still tastes like boxed pantry pasta, but that's all one can ask for and still better than most gluten-free pastas. Much easier to cook than the corn flour alternatives that tend to stick together.

A solid substitute for pasta. However, the texture is still a little grainy for my liking. Would recommend for a healthy option to traditional carbs. Much better than other bean pasta substitutes
i LOVE Banza. I eat predominantly plant based meals and banza products fits in perfectly to provide the extra protein my diet is missing. I love their rice specially.

This is the only pasta I eat now. I absolutely love this brand and everything they put out. I'm a huge fan of them and will recommend their products, especially the pastas, to anyone I can! I love the higher protein content of the pasta and the flavor is spot on.

I wish the pasta would stay together a little better, sometimes when I drain the pasta some pieces fall apart.
Thought I would never have pasta again when I went GF. Easily the best pasta alternative I’ve tried. Possibly better than regular pasta. Don’t skip the pinch of salt in the boiling water as it keeps it from getting mushy.

I love Banza. The different varieties are consistently tasty, hold up well structurally, and make one feel like they're missing nothing from traditional pasta.

It's a little bit of a challenge to make Banza not turn into mush after a while at times, though it feels best of breed for pasta alternatives there.
Honestly could not even tell this pasta was made from chickpeas. I love the fact that it has more protein than any other pasta on the market. The only downside side is that it does cost more than regular pasta.
I wanted to love their protein pasta because the nutrition facts look great. However, it has a weird texture that is gummy and gritty. I'd rather skip the protein pasta and just add other sources of protein to my meal.
Banza has reimagined pasta by swapping traditional wheat for chickpeas, creating a high-protein, gluten-free alternative that's surprisingly satisfying. Whether you're looking for a healthier pasta option or simply trying to add more plant-based protein to your meals, Banza stands out in a crowded market. Compared to traditional pasta, Banza offers about twice the protein, three times the fiber, and significantly fewer net carbs. It's a smart choice for anyone following a higher-protein, lower-carb, gluten-free, or plant-based diet. Plus, the ingredients list is clean and simple: primarily chickpeas, tapioca, pea protein, and xanthan gum.
I’m a big fan of healthier pasta options, and Banda is one of my favorites when it comes to taste and texture. The protein content is what really impressed me. I actually prefer this over traditional pasta.
I’ve tried different brands of pasta that are higher in protein and use beans to incorporate fiber and protein but Banza in particular I do not like. You can clearly tell it is not regular pasta. The taste is so off putting to me even a sauce cannot make it taste good. Other bean pastas do have a slightly flavor or consistency difference but nothing too bad. I just do not like this brand I’m sorry not a fan.
I appreciate the high protein of this pasta due to it being made from chickpeas. However, I wish the cooked texture was a little closer to that of traditional pasta. I found this pasta couldn’t replicate the al dente texture I love.

Tasty and nutritious! Good quality pasta with protein and fiber benefits. The texture is great too
Banza is pretty good! But not the best protein pasta on the market. It's a little high calorie for what it is and it sometimes falls apart if you're not super careful not to overcook it. Overall not bad though.

I love how this pasta is at Costco, because I tend to only have gluten-free alternatives to pasta. However, this is not the best one in my opinion, the texture is mediocre. I prefer ones from Trader Joes
I love this pasta for a healthier pasta alternative to regular white and processed pastas. The ingredients of these are very clean, and I love that they use chickpeas so that they also have more protein and fiber in them.
