Reviews mention

  • Protein-rich pasta alternative
  • Surprisingly authentic texture
  • Flavorful frozen pizzas
  • Kid-approved crowdpleasers
  • Inconsistent noodle integrity
  • Sticky, mushy overcooking risk
  • Noticeable chickpea aftertaste
  • Clumpy long-cut spaghetti

Banza earns strong reviews as a high‑protein, gluten‑free swap that often tastes and chews close to traditional pasta and even delivers standout frozen pizzas, while many note it can overcook quickly, turn mushy or sticky, and some cuts feel fragile. Reviews of Banza praise the satisfying, protein‑dense pasta, kid‑friendly appeal, and tasty mac & cheese (notably White Cheddar), but flag inconsistent texture across shapes, occasional bitter/chickpea aftertaste, and spaghetti/linguine that clump or stay too firm.

  • I love pasta but don't love to cook meat too often so I like that Banza gives me pasta with a little extra protein. It definitely tastes different than regular pasta, and it's not the perfect substitute if that's the taste you're looking for. I've tried Banza's regular pasta as well as their Mac n' cheese. Both are good but need to be seasoned quite a bit. I've found that everything bagel seasoning is fantastic for that. Their pizzas are really good as well.

  • Good taste, can't tell the difference between this and regular

  • Cooks quickly and tastes great, not the same as wheat/regular pasta, but is very filling and has more protein!

  • The products have consistently been grainy. I've tried the various pastas, rice, and the macaroni and cheese. I don't even like the branding, which does make me less apt to reach for it, even for curiosity when they have a new product.

  • Banza is awesome!!! I get excited whenever I see the orange box in the grocery store. Beware of foam when cooking, but otherwise wonderful!

  • i'm gluten free and i love banza. it really doesn't taste that different from normal pasta and i love that it has a significant amount of protein. i always have a few boxes on hand!

  • I was pleasantly surprised. Really good taste and cooked up well. I'll definitely try it again with a few more different sauces.

  • Okay overall - love the ingredients and macros, but some of the textures can be kinda meh. I do love that this is a healthier alternative though.

  • Easiest protein hack in my meal since I eat a lot of pasta. (I have not tried their pizza or Mac n cheese) so this is a review of their penne/spaghetti. I feel like it doesn't have a dominating flavour which is good. It is definitely more rigid/chewier than regular pasta but I don't mind.

  • The pizza crusts are sooo good! If you told me it was normal flour I would've believed you. They stay nice and crispy/crunchy out of the oven and don't get soggy or flimsy. Will definitely be buying these moving forward! I was also very impressed with their proactive customer service.

  • The garbanzo beans really stand out and the pasta is more on the rough side instead of a smooth pasta that I prefer. Also if you overcook it, becomes mushy. Needs thick sauce to cover up the taste and texture

  • I love ALL of the products from the rice to the pizza crust … never lacks flavor or quality!

  • The frozen pizza from Banza is a true obsession of mine, especially the version that is loaded with veggies (on the cauli crust it really feels like veggie inception). I would use one of them for a quick meal any day of the week. The pasta and mac and cheese is ok, but definitely not my favorite. I would definitely like to stay aware of future product drops from this brand though, because I have been so impressed by the pizza offerings and like the concept of chickpeas replacing classic grains for a slightly healthier alternative.

  • I tried the penne pasta & the texture was good like regular pasta. I was happy to have pasta with great amounts of protein & less carbs. Quality ingredients used, so I was satisfied with taste

  • Banza pasta is a game-changer for healthier eating! With its taste and texture, you won't miss traditional pasta. It's a guilt-free, delicious choice for those looking to add more nutrition to their meals.

  • They cook faster and if overcooked get pasty but are such a great alternative to regular pasta.

  • Great alternative for a healthy pasta but they are a bit grainy. If you can get past the texture these are a winner.
