  • Buttery-soft fabrics and textures
  • Flattering, fashion-forward silhouettes

  • Versatile studio-to-street designs
  • Inconsistent sizing across styles
  • Leggings with low compression
  • Occasional pilling and stretching

Alo earns mixed reviews: the brand delivers chic, flattering athleisure that often feels luxuriously soft, durable, and wash‑resistant, but quality and fit prove inconsistent—especially with leggings—compared to Lululemon. Reviews praise standout tops, sweats, Airlift/Airbrush sets, and yoga mats for comfort and longevity, while recurring complaints cite pilling, stretching, limited compression, sizing discrepancies, and frequent frustration with customer service and exchanges.

  • Big fan of Alo! Their fabrics are high-quality, and the fit is consistently great. I especially like their shorts—comfortable, well-made, and perfect for both workouts and casual wear. Definitely one of my go-to activewear brands.

  • I love the brand. The workout classes are great. There’s a good range of instructors and virtual class types. I always enjoy a brand with loyalty points. There are new drops and colors. The performance is good.

  • My alo bras and leggings that I’ve had for 6+ years are still holding up and I am not great about following wash directions. I throw them in the washing machine all the time. I wear my alo to yoga, boxing, climbing and it holds up very well. I think they fit the best and have the most compression without feeling uncomfortable

  • I love their leggings they feel so much thicker and more quality than other name brands! But My entire perception was changed when I went into an actual store, it is an OCD aesthetically pleasing dream! Which makes me love them even more! I am converted!

  • Alo is my go-to for athleisure and a strong alternative to Lululemon for athletic apparel. Where Alo excels compared to its competitors is innovative, stylist designs. From its skirts to its sweatsuits, these pieces are athleisure luxury that are easy to wear every day. For the price point, the quality is just okay. After a number of washes, the shirts and sweatshirts don't hold up the way I'd expect (a degree of pilling), but the consistent new color drops and mobile-friendly app keep me coming back.

  • Hands down best athleisure, the quality of the textures and fabrics are unparalleled. Have had some products for years, worn 100s of times, and they are as good as new. Price point is totally fair for the quality you're getting. Super flattering fit and enjoyable in-store experience.

  • alo has to be one of my favorite workout brands. It is more fitted. I also really love their yoga mats, its been one of my favorites to use for workouts

  • I reaaaally like how Alo appears to look but have had less luck with the quality of their leggings. Given the price point, I'd likely just go with Lulu or Athleta where there's a quality guarantee. However, I do love the sweatshirts and wish I could afford them. The prices are just steep for apparel that's so basic in nature, but I get why it's a trend.

  • I tried a few of their trouser-type pants and was disappointed at how cheap they looked on. When I was in store I tried on a bunch of clothes and none seemed to fit me quite right - hit my body at werid spots or just seemed so overpriced for what it was. Their styles are so cute and I like their overall mindfulness/wellness messaging, but I'm not sure I'd invest a lot of money in their pieces with so many other options for workout clothes.

  • I love alo. I think they have some of the best leggings on the market right now I love all the different patterns and shades.

  • I own a bunch of Alo tops I wear while doing yoga. Or really, I walk in and out of class wearing wearing Alo tops but don't do yoga in them. And I look great doing it. Alo has really stylish and comfortable clothes. I really like the quality of the track pants I have and wear this little bra thingy all the time. That being said, I have purchased some basic items. A lot of Alo's designs and materials don't look comfortable. Their brand feels like an influencers dream. I like all the colour options Alo provides.

  • Honestly not a huge fan... for the price point, the quality just isn't there. I feel like I could get very similar quality for half the price, it just wouldn't say "Alo" on it. That being said- they do have some super cute pieces, I just can't bring myself to do it. The few items I do have have not lasted very well. I have only tried their work out clothes so I cannot speak on the other things they do- accessories, gear, etc.

  • Pricey but great quality. Gives great support during workouts and has a cute look for everyday athleisure looks as well. I have the Honeydew 7/8 legging in S.

Sometimes the material can feel a bit too tight and leave a few marks.. but if I sized up, it would be too loose.

  • This is that brand the ‘cool girl’ in your group class is wearing. Everything is really stylish and on trend.

Would like to understand more about their production process. What are their values, sourcing practices, any sustainability goals...

  • I ordered a few items from Alo - I don't love the leggings at all. Not comfy, not soft, and just eh for a hefty price! I do love my oversized teddy jacket and one of my soft long sleeves I bought. But being honest, the leggings let me down :( cute colors though

  • Great products and perfect for my hot yoga classes. I'd buy multiple pairs but i struggle with the price when there is similar products for a fraction of the cost and I try to switch out my leggings as often as required.

  • I have a workout set from three years ago that is silky soft and high quality. When I saw there was an Alo near me, I was excited to go in-person, yet all of their apparel made today felt cheap, many made with Polyester. Pretty disappointing to see it went downhill.
